Georgia Top Prospect Games: Underclass - Quick Hits
June 9, 2025
Emerson, GA - The Prep Baseball Georgia Staff hosted the Top Prospects Underclass Games on June 3rd and 4th at Lakepoint Sports. This event was an opportunity to see top players from the 2027-2029 classes. These players went through extended pro-style workout that included batting practice using Trackman, ran the 60 yard dash using Swift Performance, and much more. Pitchers were able to throw in live games with Trackman. There were some players who showed up and continued to build off of prior performances, but there were also some new names who jumped onto our radar with a strong showing on Tuesday.
Today we will take a look at some quick hits from a few standout players at the event.

2027
Aiden Pack, 2027, RHP/3B, Blessed Trinity Catholic High School
Uncommitted. Aiden Pack, Class of 2027, showed high-level two-way ability at the Top Prospects Showcase. On the mound, he topped out at an impressive 91.4 mph with a lively fastball and a sharp curveball that tunneled well off his heater, keeping hitters off balance. His athleticism translated to the outfield where he recorded a 93 mph throw, showing off big arm strength and carry. Pack’s velocity and feel for spin make him a high-upside arm to follow closely on the mound.
Nate Curcio, 2027, RHP/SS, Etowah High School
Nate Curcio, Class of 2027, put together a strong all-around showing at the showcase, flashing athleticism and two-way potential. He ran a 6.94 60-yard dash, showing quick-twitch speed and athletic actions. On the mound, he touched 89.6 mph with a clean arm path and room for more as he matures. At the plate, he posted a loud 98.9 mph exit velocity and launched a long home run off the scoreboard in the showcase game, showcasing advanced bat speed and the ability to drive the baseball with authority. Curcio is a high-upside athlete with tools that translate across the board.

Smooth swing that has a lot of power from the legs.@RealFCSBaseball #GATPG25 pic.twitter.com/2kPwA4Qqma
Patrick Hassan, 2027, 3B/RHP, North Oconee High School
Hassan showcased some serious tools during this event at the plate and flashed some potential on the bump as well. He is a smooth mover in the field and recorded an 87 MPH IF velocity. At the dish Hassan rarely missed barrels all weekend. During his BP round he was all over the barrel recording a top EV of 93.8 and AVG of 88 MPH. During the showcase game he swung it just as well tacking on a double as well as one of the hardest hit balls of the day for a lineout to CF. He also just missed a HR as just barely hooking it foul. He showed the ability to hit balls hard to any part of the field. Hassan is a 6.93 60-yard dash runner and bumped it up to 87 on the bump as well. Hassans game is very fine tuned. With some room to grow and strength that will certainly be added, Hassan has the potential to be a middle of the order guy in any lineup.

Bryce Carter, 2027, C/OF, Parkview
Bryce Carter is a strong, athletic catcher with a polished game both at the plate and behind it. He shows a confident right-handed swing with natural lift and the ability to drive the ball with authority. In his top prospects outing he presented a simple load to generate a hard hit ball to a gap in the outfield. His approach is mature, consistently producing hard contact to all fields. Defensively, he’s a leader and shows true athleticism. He is clean and controlled behind the plate with the ability to challenge base runners. Carter moves very well for his size and brings a balanced mix of offensive and defensive abilities, making him a promising follow for the 2027 class.
Carson Bruce, 2027, OF/LHP, North Cobb Christian
Uncommitted. Strong, athletic 6-foot-2, 200-pound frame. Bruce showed out at the showcase with great speed and arm skills. He ran a 6.67 second 60 yard dash, and had an outfield velo of 91. From the left side he has significant bat speed and pitch recognition abilities. Bruce produces hard-hit baseballs and causes disruption on the base baths. He is a true athlete. On the mound he shows true potential as a left handed pitcher. WIth a fastball topping 86, also adding in a curveball and a changeup to the mix. Bruce was able to put all of his assets on display this week at the showcase. This is a very high-upside player with continuing development and growth.

Landon Rawlins, RHP, 2027, Cherokee Bluff
Coming away thoroughly impressed in my first look at the physical 6-foot-3, 195 pound RHP back in February against a tough opponent. The pitch ability and projectability stood out from the jump. Fast forward to nearly four months later to Top Prospect Games and Rawlins would arguably have one of the best pitching performances in gameplay. As he would strike out five across 2-innings of work. Fastball lived 83-84 (T85 MPH) and played well off the secondaries. SL was spun over at 75-77 with tight spin and feel to manipulate. SPL tunneled off the FB extremely well at 72 with a disappearing tumble and chance to be a future advanced offering. Rawlins, an athletic mover, gets great extension down the mound which allows for his FB to play up and to get on hitters. Pitch ability was on full display as the physical RHP showed feel for all three of his pitches as he induced a heavy dose of swing-and-miss with each pitch. This is a name to follow that performs in each setting with a certain velo jump looming.
Brock Holcombe, OF, 2027, Lakeside
One of the more explosive rounds of the afternoon would come from Holcombe as he would cap off batting practice in emphatic fashion. As it felt like seemingly every swing resulted in loud contact where he produced one of the highest EVs of the day at 101.0. There is strong projection in the physical and athletic LHH 6-foot-0, 166-pound frame with plenty of strength to project upon. Holcombe shows a slight leg kick before syncing up and getting into his power setup and firing the barrel through the zone with present bat/hand speed. He stays well-balanced and leveraged to the pull-side with heavy impact in the barrel to match that results in heavy barrels to the pull-side.
Pearce Henry, OF, 2027, Maynard Jackson
Fresh off a big spring as a catalyst with Maynard Jackson en route to an undefeated season in region play, Henry would show a strong all-around performance across the 2-day event. Opening things up with an impressive 60 time at 6.96. The physical and athletic 6-foot-0, 168-pound RHH would put on a show in BP. As he stays extremely well-leveraged through the zone with explosive hands and impact in the barrel to match. As well as staying well-connected and creating separation at the plate and maintaining excellent balance throughout impact. Henry would unload on one to nearly the deepest part of the yard at 99.9 EV and 381 Ft. The rising junior would show well in gameplay as he would come through with a backside triple. This is a name to circle with the projectability and continued in-game production.

Potent round of BP fresh off of a 3A State Championship. Ball jumps off the barrel.
Plenty of projection in the 5-foot-10 frame.#GATPG25 pic.twitter.com/UhTzM2NBaw
Carter Allen, RHP/OF, 2027, Bremen
More of the same from 2027 RHP/OF Carter Allen on the bump, continuing to impress with his presence and stuff. Physical and projectable 6-foot-3, 180-pound frame with room to fill out. Fastball sat 85–87, topping at 88 with life through the zone. Slider came in at 70–72 with late bite, showing consistent swing-and-miss potential. A big time arm that also has upside at the plate picking up a 90EV in BP, and also running 6.90 sixty yard dash.
Jack Johnson, RHP/OF, 2027, Harrison HS
One of the top players in the ‘27 GA rankings continued to show why he is ranked so high. He came out pounding the zone with his fastball that was 87-89 that had some arm side run. He also showed off his full arsenal of offspeed pitches that included a slider, a curveball, and a changeup. His slider was 75-76 that was tight with some slice and had high spin that was 2700-2800RPM, his curveball lived in the same range at 75-76 with a 11/5 breaking action with some depth and his changeup that was around 78 with some fade. Had a really good feel for his off speed pitches and confidence in them and would consistently go back to these pitches. Has a good frame at 6’3” 195 pounds with some room to add strength that will also help add velo to his pitches as well.
2028
James Callaway, 2028, RHP/1B, Denmark High School
James Callaway, Class of 2028, is an imposing presence at 6-foot-5, 223 pounds with a highly projectable frame. He showed serious power potential at the plate, just missing a home run in the showcase game with loud contact and easy strength. On the mound, he looked comfortable and in control, topping out at 85.9 mph with his fastball and spinning a sharp curveball at 2400 RPM. Callaway’s size, feel, and two-way upside make him a name to follow in the 2028 class.
Thomas Gentry, 2028, RHP/SS, Citizens Christian Academy
Thomas Gentry, Class of 2028, is already showing some serious power at a young age. Gentry showcased a simple swing that generates loft with ease. He consistently produced loud contact at the plate during the showcase game and put one over the fence that seemed to carry forever. During his BP round he posted a max EV of 92.4 and it played in game just as well. We didn’t get to see him on the bump this weekend but there is definite 2-way potential there as he ran the heater up to 90 en route to a state championship with Citizens Christian with a quality CH and CB to go along with it. Gentry landed himself at #5 in the latest GA state rankings and he continues to prove why.

5-foot-9, 158-pounds.
Well-connected and creates good separation at the plate with present feel for the barrel in an all-fields approach. @LHSdevilball #GATPG25 pic.twitter.com/eLNoSVxXsB
Caelen Frederick, OF/RHP, 2028, Milton
It was an exceptional all-around showing from the rising sophomore over the course of Tuesday. Frederick would kick things off by running a 6.91 60. Standing a lean and athletic 6-foot-0, 170-pounds the projection is clear to see for Frederick as he has added some obvious physicality since our last look. The LHH would impress in BP with one of the loudest rounds of the day coming from the class of '28. Showing above-average bat speed (Max 82 MPH) and hand speed (25.7) with excellent length in-zone and ability to get the barrel on-plane while spraying the ball to all-fields. Frederick would live on the barrel through and through as he would produce a max EV at 101.7 and avg. EV at 94.7. This is a name to follow in the '28 class with projectability through the roof.
Noah Harris, RHP/MIF, 2028, Benedictine
Lean, high-waisted 5-foot-11, 161-pound frame with plenty of room for physical growth and strength gains. Shows a polished three-pitch mix and the ability to command the zone effectively. The fastball sits 84–85 mph and tops out at 86, with noticeable life and the ability to locate to both sides of the plate. The curveball comes in at 72–73 mph with depth and shows swing-and-miss potential. Rounds out the arsenal with a 74–75 mph changeup that features late fade while maintaining arm speed, making it a quality third pitch. Overall, a projectable arm with advanced pitchability for his age.
Hudson Ritchey, OF/3B, 2028, Chamblee Charter
Athletic 6-foot, 164-pound outfielder with a projectile frame. Left-handed hitter with a smooth, compact swing and quick hands. Shows the ability to consistently get the barrel to the ball with a short, efficient path. Displayed his power potential with a home run in the Top Prospects Game. Ritchey has a max exit velocity of 89.6 mph, with a bat speed of 71.4 mph. For his age, Ritchey is well-rounded with room to fill out. He has a mature approach for his age and is able to locate pitches he can drive. Definitely one of the more polished left-handed bats in his class, with huge upside potential as he develops.
2028 SS Zach Koons

Fast hands with strong feel for the barrel in a line-drive approach with good use of the entire field.
Impact defender up the middle. 1.000 fielding-percentage as the everyday SS this spring. @gac_baseball #GATPG25 pic.twitter.com/jMfgJ1FYd1
Will Dimitri, SS/RHP, 2028, Harris
Will continues to shine on both sides of the ball, building off a massive freshman campaign with another standout week. At the plate, he showcases fast hands through the zone with a quick, compact trigger and advanced feel for the barrel, driving a backside triple with authority. Defensively, he’s a strong, reliable presence with positional flexibility across the infield, and also clocked a 6.87 60-yard dash. On the mound, Dimitri turned in a strong performance featuring a quality two-pitch mix. His fastball sat 78–79 mph, topping at 80, and he showed his 69–70 mph curveball with good sweep.
Wesley Thiry, RHP/3B, 2028, Norcross HS
Another good showing for Thiry off the mound. He showcased his fastball that sat around 85-87 with some arm side run and some ride as well, his secondary pitches included a slider that was 78-79 that was sharp with a little bit more vertical movement that horizontal movement and a changeup that was 79-81 with some arm side fade and was able to kill spin on this pitch. Had good command on all three pitches and was able to generate some swing and miss as well. He gets down the mound pretty well and the pitchability shows already at a young age and he will only get better as he continues to develop and get stronger.
