Wow Factor Scout Day: Positional Data Dive

On June 7, the Prep Baseball Nevada staff hosted the Wow Factor Scout Day at the College of Southern Nevada. The event featured 60+ prospects from the Wow Factor program.
All players took part in a full pro-style workout in the morning, with data captured by our tech partners: TrackMan and VALD Performance. The day concluded with two live games, giving players the opportunity to showcase their tools and instincts in a game setting.
Yesterday, we looked at some of the top overall Pitching performances from the event with our Pitching Data Dive. Today, we will look at some of the top positional performances from the Wow Factor Scout Day.

Exit Velocity: This metric measures the speed of the ball, measured in miles per hour, as it comes off the bat at the moment of contact.
BATTED BALL DISTANCE (MAX)
Distance – This metric measures how far the ball traveled, or would travel if it was not obstructed, measured in feet.

SWEET SPOT %
Sweet Spot %: This metric is determined by how often the player produces a batted ball during the session with a launch angle between 8 to 32 degrees.
