Future Games Tryout: Fullerton - Infielder Analysis

This past Saturday, May 31st, the Prep Baseball California team hosted the Future Games Tryout at Mater Dei High School in Santa Ana, CA. This was an invite only event and it gave our staff an ample look at the area's top players.

40 players made their way to Mater Dei HS this past weekend and participated in a pro-style workout, gathering unrivaled access to data through our state-of-the-art tech partners, as well as in-depth scouting analysis from our Prep Baseball California staff.

Today, we will be looking at all of the infielder reports from the event.

TOP INFIELDER PROSPECTS

1. Jordan Kurz, Orange Lutheran (CA), 2027
Positional Profile: SS/2B MIF with a balanced approach at the plate and smooth defensive skills.
Body: 6-1, 170 pounds. Athletic body with room to fill. Projectable.
Hit: RHH. Starts tall and balanced, strides back and then forward, aggressive turn on the ball with heavy core action. Explosive and powerful, shorter path to the ball. 66.9 mph bat speed with 11g of rotational acceleration.
Power: 93 mph max exit velocity (86.5 avg.); 303-foot max batted distance.
Arm: RH. INF - 88.00 mph. Short and quick arm, dart thrower, 3/4 slot.
Defense: pop time range; Natural look, quiet feet with soft hands, quick transfer.
Athletic Testing: 7.18 runner in the 60-yard dash.
