In game play is where a few guys separated themselves from the rest of the field. First, we are going to take a look at two players that stood out on the mound.

*Winners will receive a Mizuno bag, Oakley Sunglasses, and a Dick's Sporting Goods Gift Card.*

MVP Pitcher: Cole Cinnamond

Cole Cinnamond LHP / 1B / Great Bridge High, VA / 2027

The top ranked 2027 in VA/DC did not disappoint in his two innings of work at the VA/DC State Games. The upper 80's to low 90's fastball overpowered hitters from the start. The fastball ranged from 87-91 mph and got as high as 92.2 mph per Trackman. It is a lower release from the 6-foot-4 left hander and he was able to induce swings and misses at the top of the zone, and extended. Cinnamond faced ten batters, striking out eight of the ten he faced, thus resulting in the MVPitcher award.

MVP Pitcher Runner Up: Caden Bell

Caden Bell RHP / 1B / POTOMAC FALLS HIGH, VA / 2026

In one of the more dominant in event performances that we have seen, the rising senior right hander absolutely dominated opposing hitters. After facing fourteen hitters over three innings of work, Bell struck out eight, had two flyouts, and one groundball. He collected eleven outs, gave up one walk, and two scattered hits. His low to mid 80's fastball was effective on both sides of the plate, but it was the breaking ball that dominated opposing hitters. The sweeping slider ranged mostly in the 75-78 range and saw around -16" Horizontal movement. He got whiffs in the zone and chases out of the zone. It is a near elite high school offering and the FB/SL velo split leans on some more future velo to the fastball.

MVP Positional: Brody Comparto

Shaun Brody Comparto 2B / RHP / GREAT BRIDGE HIGH, VA / 2026

Comparto was lights out throughout this entire event. From the workout, to the mound, to gameplay, he did a little bit of everything. Multiple barrels, including a pair of doubles, and was 86-88 on the mound. During his time on the mound, Comparto struck out four of the twelve hitters he faced. The Great Bridge product once again proved why he is one of the best uncommitted 2026's in the state.

MVP Positional Runner Up: Jackson Bringger

Jackson Bringger SS / 2B / ST JOHNS COLLEGE HIGH SCHOOL, VA / 2027

The sparkplug, do-it-all infielder struck again. Bringger had multiple hits throughout the event, including a homerun on day one and a double on day two. He is a compact athlete that is an above average runner. The St. John's product stays in the middle of the field and within his approach. As he showcased in game, Bringger is not afraid to use the backside of the field, and has some sneaky pop for a compact athlete.
