Prep Baseball Report

2025 Spokane Summer ID - Quick Hits

Dylan Grenz
Associate Scout

On Tuesday June 24th, Prep Baseball Washington hosted the Spokane Summer ID at Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington. Prep Baseball scouts evaluated high school athletes in the 2026-2029 graduating classes, with several strong showings throughout the event.

Summer ID events serve as an important tool for both Prep Baseball scouts and college recruiters, who will subsequently create lists of prospects to follow as they plan their remaining summer coverage. We often tend to see prospects' best showings at Summer ID events, as players are fresh off playing for their respective high schools and are in the routine that consistently playing in-game offers. Standout performances can lend invites to some of the summer's top events, including the 2025 Pacific Northwest State Games.

Today, Prep Baseball releases our Quick Hits, detailing scouting notes on standout players from the event. Players are listed alphabetically by last name. For all other post-event content, click here

Spokane Summer ID (6.24.25)

Quick Hits

'26 OF Tyson Blake (Central Valley)
Medium-framed junior started his showcase strong with a 6.74 60-yard dash time. Shorter, choppy steps defensively with smooth actions. Righty bat improved as BP rounds went on, peaking with a 96.5 MPH exit velocity and a max batted ball distance of 356 feet. Lean, athletic frame with space to add strength, Uncommitted rising senior.

'26 LHP/1B Eli Coopman (Flathead, MT)
6'2 athlete from Montana had a well-rounded showing at Gonzaga. Lower spin rates on all three offerings on the mound, with a FB already sitting 82-84 MPH. Pitch could tick up in velo further with continued development. CH killed spin well at 77 MPH, showed a CB at 71-72 MPH. 7.03 second 60-yard dash time, moves well laterally at 1B. Flatter approach at the plate, but could impact the ball when elevating, with a max batted ball distance of 372 feet. Peaked with a 95.2 MPH exit velocity and 79.9 MPH bat speed. 83 MPH infield throws defensively.

'27 RHP/INF Tanner Davis (Kamiakin)
Arguably the biggest standout on the mound at the event, Davis also had a great showcase before pitching. The rising junior ran a blistering 6.67 60-yard dash to start with a sound defensive portion of the workout. He then was all over the barrel from the RH side, with a 69% hard hit rate and peak exit velocity of 96.7 MPH. On the mound, the righty arm stayed behind the ball well, releasing from an over the top slot. FB sat 86-88 MPH, peaking at 89.1 MPH. SL & CH both showed potential to be plus offerings. SL was located well to the glove side and down in the zone. CH was on the corner to the arm side. Impressive arm talent and athlete.

'26 OF/LHP Cody Ells (Asotin)
Coming off of an exceptional high school season, Ells looked the part as one of the top remaining uncommitted players in the '26 class. Multi-sport athleticism showed in 6.75 60-yard dash time. Plus bat speed at the plate, with a peak of 80.6 MPH. Was all over the barrel to the pull side with a rhytmic operation. Posted the second-best exit velocity seen in Washington this summer at 104 MPH, and averaged a 92 MPH exit velocity with a max batted ball distance of 410 feet. Can realistically play all 3 OF spots, with smooth strides defensively and throws up to 83 MPH. Did not pitch at the showcase, but did log 56.1 innings without allowing an earned run this spring. Standout showing.

'26 RHP/INF Quade Gonzalez IV (Othello)
Lean, long-levered 6'3 prospect posted several personal-bests at the plate, peaking with a 103.9 MPH exit velocity and max batted ball distance of 381 feet. Loose wrists through the zone with strong, whippy two-handed finish. On the mound, FB sat 84-88 MPH from a loose 3/4 slot release. Spun the CB & SL well, with the CB at 71-72 MPH and spin rates averaging nearly 2400 RPM. SL had a tighter shape at 73-77 MPH and a max spin rate of 2463 RPM. CH rounded out the arsenal at 76-78 MPH. Great showing across the board.

'26 1B/OF Gavin Helms (Coeur D'Alene, ID)
Stocky 6'0 frame had quality BP rounds from the RH side. Some rawness in the swing operation, but plenty of strength present to drive balls to the gaps. Peaked with a 97 MPH exit velocity and averaged 88.9 MPH, driving balls up to 374 feet. Elevated the ball consistently with slight uphill path. Makes the routine play defensively with throws into the mid-70s, and should stick at a corner for the forseeable future.

'26 OF/LHP Charlie Lynn (Ridgeline)
Lean, athletic build from the uncommitted outfielder that continues to show growth in his skillset. Posted some of the better BP rounds of the event, featuring a smooth LH stroke. Posted a 97.8 MPH exit velocity and averaged 89.7 MPH, finding success hitting to the middle of the field and pull side. Long-strider in the OF posted a 7.01 second 60-yard dash. First-team GSL selection this spring, could be poised for a strong summer with continued progression.

'26 INF Mikey Macall (Ridgeline)
Macall was one of several Ridgeline bats with a massive 2025 season, and the rising senior had a strong showing at Gonzaga to back this up. Posted numerous new-bests at the plate, including a 97.5 MPH peak exit velocity and 355 foot max batted ball distance. Athletic middle INF-type showcased soft hands and a quicker release. 7.05 second runner. Well-rounded player should get plenty of looks from college coaches as the summer progresses.

'26 C/RHP Connor Moffitt (Mt. Spokane)
After a great preseason showcase look, Moffitt had another solid showing at Gonzaga, highlighted by a 1.96 second catcher pop time and a 98.9 MPH peak exit velocity. LH swing maintains tight levers through the zone with some loft present, resulting in a ton of contact on a line and in the air. Defensively, Moffitt had polished actions with some arm strength, with throws up to 76 MPH from behind the plate. The righthander did not pitch in this look but was up to 89 MPH off the mound this winter.

'26 1B/OF Braeden Parker (Mt. Spokane)
Parker had arguably one of the best performances seen at any Prep Baseball PNW showcase this year. The 6'5, 230 pound multi-sport athlete moved incredibly well for his size, posting a 6.74 second 60-yard dash time. The righty then proceeded to have two extremely impressive rounds of BP, on the barrel from the jump. The physical bat stayed connected in his lower half with a peak exit velocity of 108.3 MPH and an average of 97.8 MPH. Launched multiple shots well over the LF wall with a max batted ball distance of 417 feet. Carried himself well with a quiet confidence throughout. Standout performance.

'27 RHP/3B Malachi Raymond (Desales Catholic)
Intruiging arm was up to 85 MPH on the mound from 6'3 frame. FB sat 82-84 MPH throughout the bullpen session, shooting the bottom of the zone. CB/SL breaking ball combination, both in the low 70's. CB had an 11/5 shape with higher spin rates than the SL, but both pitches showed flashes at times. Offensively, posted a 91.3 MPH peak exit velocity with a peak batted ball distance of 327 feet. 7.21 runner.

'26 INF/RHP Oliver Spencer (West Valley)
Strong all-around showing, starting with a 7.21 second 60-time. Found the sweet spot in BP rounds from the right side, carrying a heavier barrel through the zone with a long, whippy finish. 95.3 MPH peak exit velocity with a max batted ball distance of 351 feet. Strong arm across the diamond with throws up to 86 MPH. Arsenal has real potential on the mound, with a FB at 80-82 MPH averaging nearly 2400 RPM of spin. SL is a plus secondary at 72-74 MPH averaging 2563 RPM.

'26 C Nolan Wohl (Ridgeline)
Another Ridgeline player with a great performance in Spokane. Wohl's 6'0, 187 pound frame moved well behind the plate, with a best pop time of 2.00 seconds. Quick operation with aggressive intent at the plate, maintaining balance with strong two-handed finish. 96.7 MPH peak exit velocity with a max batted ball distance of 349 feet. Uncommitted backstop to circle heading into the summer.
