Summer Spotlight: '28 Noah Andrew Castillo
June 25, 2025
The summer is in full swing, and the Prep Baseball Hawaii staff has officially wrapped up the Hawaii State Games, which featured over 100 players from across the state. The event brought together a strong group of uncommitted talent who showed well across all areas of the game. From the workout to live gameplay, there was no shortage of standout performances, and several players made a strong impression as they head into the rest of the summer.
As we continue our coverage, we’re kicking off our Uncommitted Spotlight Series—where we’ll take a closer look at some of the top performers from the event. With updated stats, data, and video now added to player profiles, these prospects have taken another step forward in tracking their progress and getting their game out there. This series will highlight what they showed at the event and why they stood out to our staff.
We continue to highlight summer standouts with ‘28 Noah Andrew Castillo, who was a top prospect at the Hawaii State Games and has been tearing it up this summer with Hawaii Elite. On the mound, he works with a three-pitch mix—all showing strong upside (FB, SL, CH). This summer, he has been sitting 86 to 88 mph, topping out at 89 mph, with over 2400 rpm on his FB. His SL is a wipeout pitch, generating 13.4 inches of horizontal movement and spinning up to 2800 rpm. He rounds out his arsenal with a CH that has up to 19 inches of horizontal movement and is a big-time weapon against LHH's. Off the mound, he’s swinging the bat well and playing solid outfield for Hawaii Elite, just like he showed at the Hawaii State Games. Noah is one of the top-ranked prospects in Hawaii for the 2028 class, and it will be exciting to watch him continue to develop as he enters the biggest part of his high school career.
This article will take a closer look at some of Noah's recent metrics, scouting reports, and videos from previous events, including the Hawaii State Games.

Scouting Report
The number 4 overall and number 1 RHP in the state of Hawaii came out and showed electric stuff at the 14U National Championship. Straight out of the pen and dominated with the FB living 84-86 from a lower ¾ slot that stayed at the knees out of release. Castillo worked his FB in and out and was a pure nightmare for RHH jamming them majority of the time. Castillo also worked in a quality CB in the 69-72 range spinning it well at 2450+ and dropping it in at any count stunning hitters. A big name to know coming out of Hawa
