Uncommitted Spotlight: '26 Brayden Lame

The summer is rolling, and Prep Baseball Idaho just wrapped up the Idaho State Games, which brought together over 60 players from across the state. The event was loaded with uncommitted talent, and plenty of players stepped up with strong performances in both the workout and live game settings. Several made a clear impression on our staff and are trending in the right direction heading into the rest of the summer.
As part of our continued coverage, we’re kicking off our Uncommitted Spotlight Series—a closer look at some of the top standouts from the Idaho State Games who are still on the board. Each of these players showed well and continue to raise their stock with their play.
We continue highlighting standouts from the Idaho State Games with a look at ‘26 Brayden Lame. During his batting practice session, Lame consistently found the barrel, showcasing a short, compact swing. He posted a max exit velocity of 94.9 mph with an average of 86.9 mph, and also ranked among the top 10 in several Blast Motion metrics at the event.Lame stands at 6'4", 193 pounds with plenty of room to continue filling out. With an already physical build and metrics trending in the right direction, he’s definitely a name to keep in mind as he gears up for his final year.
