This Tuesday, July 15th, the Prep Baseball Illinois team is hosting the Northwest Suburban Summer ID at Wintrust Field in Schaumburg, IL. This is an open event for all high school classes (2026-29), and gives our staff an ample look at the area's top players.

For a closer look at the showcase details and the technologies we'll have on-site to assist our in-person evaluation for all in attendance, click here. For a complete look at those registered to attend this event, view the most up-to-date version of the roster by clicking here.

EVENT HISTORY

We've been hosting this event for the past three years, and it's consistently provided us a look at prominent players who've later gone on to receive invitations to select events, like the Prep Baseball Future Games and Illinois State Games. Among the players in attendance at this event in 2024, there are already twelve commitments among them.

We're looking forward to checking in on the next crop of talent from this event to earn next-level attention in the coming weeks, months, and years.

2025 ROSTER

This year's roster is already shaping up nicely, just like in years past.

MJ Castelloni 3B / OF / Fremd, IL / 2028

From 5/23/24: "...3B/OF displayed a loose, easy left-handed swing that caught our attention throughout BP; working through the zone with extension and using the whole field, also recording a single in gameplay. He showed some feel for both the infield and outfield, displaying sure-handed actions at each position."

Nathan Cera 3B / RHP / Maine South, IL / 2026

From 4/26/25: "...Uncommitted. Trim, 6-foot-1, 165-pound frame with room for added strength in the future. Batted third and played the hot corner for the Hawks. He was all over the barrel from the right side, showing a mature approach at the plate. Cera utilizes a direct path paired with quick hands, while displaying high bat-to-ball skills. He finished the game 3-for-4 with a triple, and the walk-off hit to secure the win for the Hawks. He also showed to be a steady defender at the hot corner."

Jake Cicero SS / 2B / Lake Park, IL / 2027

From 2/13/25: "...+ INF is another Lancer that showed well on Sunday, especially at the plate. The right-handed hitter has a fluid and loose operation, working on-plane through the zone with a balanced finish and up-the-middle approach. He’s a steady defender on the infield as well, boasting sure-handed actions with fluid footwork that plays through the ball, also displaying range to both sides of his glove. Intriguing young prospect that should continue to get stronger in the coming years."

Drew Whitney C / 1B / Barrington, IL / 2028

Perusing the event roster, we’re set to meet a majority of players who’ve not yet attended a Prep Baseball showcase, and we’re eager to add more names to our follow lists.

EVENT CHECK-IN PROCESS

On that Form, players will enter their name (matching the spelling on their PB profile) and hit submit. Upon submission, players will be prompted to click a link that will direct them to their jersey color and number, located next to their registered name.
