Jacksonville Summer ID: Quick Hits

The Jacksonville Summer ID took place on Tuesday, July 1, at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, FL. The event featured players from the 2026-2029 classes participating in a pro-style workout, followed by bullpens in front of the Prep Baseball Florida Scouting Staff.

Bowen Barber C / 3B / Marianna High School, FL / 2026Barber showed his athleticism and ability to move well behind the plate. Led the event in the 60, running a 6.84. 89 mph max exit velocity offensively. Behind the plate, had a 2.07 pop time on throws down.

Braden Bodenstein OF / 1B / Wharton High School, FL / 2027Athletic left-handed hitter. Used the whole field spraying gap to gap in BP. 88 exit velo. More to come as he gets stronger.

Brennen Crouch SS / 2B / University Christian, FL / 2027Athletic middle infielder with upside as he adds strength. Showed ability to lift the ball with an exit velo of 89 mph. Defensively, moves well up the middle with soft hands.

Tanner Eckert C / 3B / Providence, FL / 2028Strong frame and showed two-way ability. 92 exit velo, 86 infield velo, 85 outfield velo, and a 2.02 pop time. Hopped on the mound to end the day and was up to 84 mph.

Cullen Garner RHP / OF / St. Joseph Academy, FL / 2028Garner continues to be one of the higher-level 2028s in the state. 6.93 60 to start the day. Drove gap to gap at 96 EV during BP. 90 mph from the outfield. On the mound, Garner sat mid-80s but bumped it up to 91 on his final pitch.

Logan Hunt OF / 3B / Ponte Vedra High School, FL / 2027Hunt impressed with athleticism, running a 6.85 60. The arm strength plays at 85 mph from the OF. Up to 94 EV as well.

Jackson Miller SS / 3B / Ponte Vedra High School, FL / 2028Impressive 2028. Long, lean frame with room to fill out. Flashed power potential in BP at 92 exit velo. More to come as he gets stronger.

Colton Rogers OF / RHP / Suwannee, FL / 2027Rogers continues to make the jump on both sides of the field. Still lean, but starting to fill out. Rogers attacked the left-center gap with hard contact up to 92 EV. Showed above-average arm strength in the outfield with throws up to 90. On the mound, Rogers comes from a tough low 3/4 slot that gets in on hitters' hands.

Tristan Silver OF / 2B / Bishop Snyder, FL / 2027Athletic right-handed hitter. Gap to gap hitter and flashed some pull-side power potential. 96 exit velocity. Moves well defensively in both the infield and outfield and showed an above-average arm.

Caleb Stanton C / 1B / Ponte Vedra High School, FL / 2027Stanton showed his strength from both sides of the plate with pull-side power potential. 6'1" 237 lb catcher got up to 100 mph exit velo and cleared the fence multiple times in BP. 2.00 pop time from behind the plate.
