QUICK HITS
2027 SS Hector Cadena – Laredo United
Cadena put together one of the most electric showings of the event and firmly established himself as one of the top uncommitted players in the class. The physical infielder posted a 108.8 mph max exit velocity and made a habit of flattening baseballs with authority throughout BP. He’s a dynamic athlete, running a 6.56 60 while showing a big arm across the diamond at 89 mph. Defensively, he moved with confidence and rhythm, picking it clean with ease. Cadena carries a physical presence in everything he does, and his performance turned heads. A must-follow name heading into the end of summer.
2027 RHP Evrick Paulino – San Antonio Reagan
Paulino made a strong impression in his first look, flashing a projectable frame and a fastball that already plays. The 6’3” right-hander sat 88–89 mph with 18.9 inches of IVB and over 13 inches of horizontal movement, making for a tough, late-riding pitch. His breaking ball is still developing, working in the low 70s (71–73), but flashed shape and potential. With his size, athleticism, and current feel, there’s plenty more velocity to come. He creates uncomfortable at-bats and has the traits to emerge as the next big arm out of Reagan’s storied program.
2026 1B/3B Karsten Holman – Reagan
Holman showcased serious strength at the plate, posting a 100.2 mph max exit velocity and averaging 93.1 mph throughout his round. The right-handed hitter generates easy power with a strong lower half and showed the ability to lift the ball with authority. He also reached 350 feet in BP, highlighting his ability to impact the baseball to all fields. Holman ran a 7.00 60 and moved well for his size, with solid actions at the corner and a 78 mph infield arm. With his physicality and offensive upside, Holman profiles as a power bat to follow in the 2026 class.
2027 C/2B Tristen Korzekwa – La Vernia
Korzekwa continues to trend upward after another strong showing, showcasing both strength at the plate and versatility on the field. The physical right-handed hitter posted a 98.8 mph max exit velocity and averaged 85.6 mph, consistently driving balls with intent and lift. He showed clean footwork and actions behind the plate with pop times ranging from 2.01–2.15, and a 75 mph catcher velocity. Defensively, he also flashed a 77 mph infield arm, further proving his positional flexibility. He ran a 7.03 60 and moves well for a catcher, with a 19.8 max run speed. Korzekwa has the tools and work ethic to be a dependable backstop or middle infielder with real offensive upside in the 2027 class.
2026 C/OF Quade Sullivan – Junction
Sullivan continues to show intriguing upside as a strong, athletic backstop with emerging power. He posted a 98.1 mph max exit velocity with a peak distance of 358 feet, flashing bat speed (70.3 mph) and a compact, powerful stroke. Behind the plate, he recorded pop times between 2.06–2.12 with a 71 mph catcher velocity, showing clean transfers and solid footwork. He also ran a 7.11 60 and reached a 19.8 mph top run speed, proving he's a capable mover for his position. With a durable frame and raw tools that are still trending up, Sullivan is an uncommitted 2026 catcher to keep close tabs on.
2026 OF/1B Cade Pantuso – Johnson
Pantuso impressed with a dynamic combination of speed and strength from the left side. The L/L corner outfielder posted a 96.8 mph max exit velocity and drove the ball with authority, reaching 352 feet in BP. He showed an athletic, compact swing with a 73% sweet spot rate, consistently finding barrels. A 6.80 runner with a 20.7 mph max run speed, Pantuso moves well for a physical frame and showed an 80 mph arm from the outfield. With twitch, offensive impact, and versatility at both corner spots, he’s an uncommitted 2026 name to know.
2028 1B/OF Brody Alcoser – Sonia Sotomayor
Alcoser turned in a strong all-around showing, flashing left-handed pop and defensive versatility. The 5’11”, 147-pound R/L athlete posted a 95.6 mph max exit velocity and consistently drove the ball with a smooth, balanced swing. He ran a 7.08 60 and reached a top run speed of 19.7 mph, showing solid athleticism for a corner profile. Defensively, he showed well with a 79 mph infield velo and an 85 mph arm from the outfield. With physical development still to come and a clean swing from the left side, Alcoser is a promising 2028 prospect to keep an eye on.
