This summer, the best uncommitted Class of 2027 prospects will head to LakePoint Sports in Emerson, GA for the premier Prep Baseball Report Future Games. For the first time ever, the state of California will be bringing two teams: Team NorCal and Team SoCal. For the next three weeks leading up to the event we will be previewing each player that will be putting their talents on display in front of a plethora of college coaches from across the entire country.

Standing 6-foot-1, Colton Hadfield is a two-way star from Valley Christian High School. Hadfield is ranked as the seventeenth best shortstop in the entire state.

Hadfield shows great promise both in the batter’s box and on the base paths, having a 91.0 MPH exit velocity off the bat and running a 7.11 sixty yard dash.

This season for Valley Christian, Hadfield hit for a .726 OPS while tallying 17 RBIs. Additionally, Hadfield showed some pop, hitting six doubles and a home run on the year.

Hadfield first showed off his potential at the NorCal Preseason All-State Event. Hadfield’s performance on the day earned him the number two rank of all prospects on the day.

At the event, Hadfield had a max exit velocity of 91 MPH at the plate and topped out at 90 MPH on the mound.

In his arsenal, alongside his heater, Hadfield possesses a nasty curveball, sharp changeup, and a sinker that has the potential to be a phenomenal pitch.

Hadfield is a must-watch talent for Team NorCal’s inaugural appearance at LakePoint. Hadfield’s two-way ability, paired with his impressive athleticism will make for an exciting Future Games debut.
