More than 15 players will represent Illinois at this prestigious event and, per usual, this group is as talented as those that came before them. Below, in alphabetical order, you’ll learn more about the names on Team Illinois’ roster at the 2025 Future Games.

Hayden Adamowicz LHP / Schaumburg, IL / 2027

Adamowicz is a phycially imposing southpaw, standing at 6-foot-1, 205-pounds. A loose operator down the mound, he features a three-pitch mix; headlined by a mid-to-upper 80's fastball that has reached up to 89 mph for our staff this summer in-game. The secondaries include a low 70's breaking ball that has gotten firmer with seemingly each look this summer - showing swing and miss ability, while he is also able to mix in a low 80's changeup to round out his repertoire.

Jimmy Benson LHP / St. Laurence, IL / 2027

6/19/25: "Uncommitted, currently ranked No. 46 in the state. Projectable 6-foot-8, 205-pound frame. Started on the mound. Benson shined on Friday as he struck out six batters through five and two-thirds innings to pick up the win on the mound. The left-hander operates from an uptempo delivery with a high leg with tuck while having a drop/drive approach. Clean, full arm action from a ¾ slot. Would slow down his delivery occasionally to mess with hitters’ timing. Also, dropped down to a sidearm slot against righties on multiple occasions. His fastball sat 80-83 while topping out at 84. His length and extension allows his velocity to play up. Mixed in a slider that sat 69-72 with sweeping action. Also, flashed a mid-70s changeup. Competitor on the mound."

Mason Bruesch RHP / Geneva, IL / 2027

Bruesch poses a very tough look for opposing hitters, throwing from a unique low 3/4 slot that creates deception with all of his offerings. Standing at a wiry 6-foot-2, 175-pound frame, there si likely still more to come from a physical standpoint for Bruesch as he continues to mature and grow into his frame. His fastball sits in the mid-to-upper 80's, touching 89 mph multiple times this summer for our staff in various tournaments. Perhaps his best offspeed offering is a sharp slider that plays out fo the same window as his fastball, that can generate whiffs when he needs it. Bruesch rounds out his mix with a 79-82 mph changeup.

Brady Cunningham 3B / RHP / Brother Rice, IL / 2027

5/14/25: "Uncommitted, currently ranked No. 6 in the state, No. 208 nationally. 6-foot-3, 215-pounds, physical build with present strength throughout. Started on the mound and threw it well over his six innings of work in the first game against St. Laurence. Scattered just three hits with two earned runs, two walks and three strikeouts. The big right-hander has a high-leg lift that works into a back-leg sink, creating some uphill angle in the shoulders before working downhill, stays in-line and lands square. Compact arm action, tight window and higher ¾ slot. The fastball played in the 84-88 mph range with carry and finish, attacked in the zone with confidence. Curveball showed sharper action than in the past, 11/5 shape with depth, feel down and under the zone, 71-73 mph - also flashed a slider at 77 mph with gradual 10/4 action. At the plate, continues to look like one of the top overall right-handed bats in the Midwest. Cunningham has a physical presence in the box with advanced feel to hit to go along with well-above average power. Minimal swing-and-miss and minimal chase. Chance to do loud damage on every swing. One of the top 2027s in the state. FINAL LINE: 6-for-11, HR, 2B, 5 RBI, R, SB - 6IP, 3H, 2ER, 2BB, 3K."

Tyler Gluting LHP / OF / Metea Valley, IL / 2027

5/8/25: "Uncommitted. Currently ranked No. 5 in the state. Batted third and got the start on the mound, before moving out to centerfield for the remainder of the game. A left-handed hitter, he displayed high bat-to-ball skills, tallying three hits in the game, including two hits he barreled later in the game. He has a fluid load, direct path, with strong hands. Fluid mover in the outfield, showing the ability to cover ground from gap-to-gap. On the mound he ran his fastball up to 91 mph, and is a high-follow two-way prospect to continue to follow."

Josh Morgan OF / Fenwick, IL / 2027

5/12/25: "Uncommitted. Currently ranked No. 15 in the state and No. 315 nationally. Lean and athletic 6-foot-2, 186-pound frame with twitch. Batted leadoff and played centerfield for the Friars. A right-handed hitter, Morgan was on the barrel multiple times, even when he fouled balls off. He has an uphill path with strong hands and evident bat speed, and generates natural loft on the ball. A high-level football recruit, Morgan also showed foot speed out of the box in the game, posting a 4.44 home to first. He finished the game 0-for-2 with a walk, two loud flyouts - with one going down as a sacrifice fly. Defensively, Morgan’s athleticism is hard to miss both pre-game and in-game, and he showed to have the type of range that should allow him to stick there at the next level. A name to continue to follow in the state’s sophomore class."

Chase Reinhart LHP / OF / Normal West, IL / 2027

4/23/25: "Uncommitted, now ranked No. 11 in the state’s sophomore class. Stands in a 6-foot, 170-pound frame with seemingly more room for added strength. All we’ve continued to see out of the Normal West southpaw is a competitor with pitchability and the ability to throw strikes with his three-pitch arsenal. Tossed a complete game shutout with 10 strikeouts in a top-15 ranked team in Normal Community. Worked out of the stretch and has repeatable actions with a quick arm path. Fastball sat 82-86 mph and topped out at 87 mph, maintained velocity throughout the game, recorded swing-and-miss on the pitch. Turned often and showed confidence in a curveball that sat in the upper-60s with sharp actions at times, threw it both when ahead and behind in the count, kept hitters off-balanced. Threw a change-up at 76 mph with some depth. The compete and strikes with multiple pitches has continued to elevate Reinhart as a must-know prospect in Illinois."

Traxton Roberts RHP / Armstrong, IL / 2027

3/6/25: "RHP Traxton Roberts (Armstrong, 2027) continues to impress with each watch. A standout at this event a year prior, Roberts’ stuff has clearly made a jump. Standing at a long-levered 6-foot-1, 175-pounds, he is a controlled mover down the mound paired with a noticeably quick arm. His fastball sat 86-88 mph on this day for strikes with carry (avg. 17.6” IVB), and an average spin rate of 2316 rpm (T2379). His curveball (avg. 2310 rpm) sat 71-75 mph with sweeping-action for strikes 60% of the time. His 76-78 mph changeup flashed as well with an average of 17.6” HM. A must-know name for the spring."

Mason Rychetsky RHP / Kennedy, IL / 2027

Rychetsky is an arm who has broke out this summer in front of our staff at multiple tournaments throughout the country. At LakePoint earlier this summer, the 6-foot-3, 193-pound right-hander punched out 13 batter over five and two-thirds of work; boasting a lively fastball that sat 86-90 mph, while going to a high-spin curveball (2600+ rpm) at 71-72 mph. Showcasing a shorter arm stroke, Rychetsky hides the ball very well, helping his stuff play up in-game.

Cullen Schwigen RHP / OF / Rockridge, IL / 2027

5/4/25: "Uncommitted, currently ranked No. 10 in the state and No. 203 nationally. Strong 6-foot-2, 195-pound athletic frame. Premium two-sport athlete, quarterback that has received interest from high-level schools. Started at short and hit out of the two-hole. Schwigen had quite the day both at the plate and on the mound. On the mound, he struck out six batters through three and two-thirds innings. The right-hander operates from a tall/fall delivery with a high leg lift. Clean, compact, quick arm action from a ¾ slot. Fastball was firm while sitting 87-89 and topped out at 90 with life. Mixed in a curveball that sat 72-75 with sharp, late actions and an 11/5 shape. Curveball shows out-potential. Struck out five of his first ten batters faced. At the plate, Schwigen went 2-for-4 on Saturday. The right-handed hitter operates from a wide, upright stance with a short stride. Showed a whippy, compact swing with a flat bat path. Strong hands with a gap-to-gap approach. Connected on two singles up the middle."

Keegan Seipp C / 1B / Triad, IL / 2027

5/21/25: "Uncommitted, currently ranked No. 20 in the state. Physical 6-foot-3, 211-pound frame. Started behind the plate and hit out of the five-hole. Seipp continued his strong sophomore season with a 3-for-3 day at the plate. The left-handed hitter operates from a wide stance with a small leg lift. Easy swing with above average pull-side power. His long levers allow him to connect on pitches in all parts of the zone. Strong hands with an uphill power swing. Connected on an RBI single in the first to left. Followed up with a double to left field in his second at bat. Sent a ball back up the middle for a double in his final at bat."

Gavin Stanislawski 3B / OF / Brother Rice, IL / 2027

5/14/25: "Uncommitted. Talented sophomore that has two-way upside. Strong mature frame at 6-foot-1, 205-pounds. Passes the eye test immediately. Got on the mound and worked an impressive inning against Mount Carmel. Clean, athletic mover, especially given his size. Fastball played relatively easy out of the hand at 84-85 mph, T86. Breaking ball is well above-average for his age. Big spin at 2550+ rpm, sat 74-77 mph and flashes hard, late action at times. Intriguing quick look at Stanislawski who is one of many high-level underclass follows for the Crusaders."

Tristan Steger C / 3B / St. Laurence, IL / 2027

3/6/25: "Tristan Steger is another standout name that made his Prep Baseball event debut over the weekend. He has a physically imposing frame at 6-foot-1, 191-pounds, with room for added physical development. He showed natural and clean actions out of the crouch, while posting a 1.88 pop time (event-best), paired with an accurate arm that topped at 75 mph. At the plate, the left-handed hitter showed athletic hands while controlling his levers well, staying balanced throughout with loud contact off the barrel (T101 mph EV, 91.7 mph avg.). He was also able to elevate the ball with ease, showing big power potential with a max distance of 370’."

Andrew Talbert OF / SS / Byron , IL / 2027

Talbert is a prospect who has continue to show well each time our staff gets a look at him. A highly-athletic right-handed hitter who can play all over the diamond, Talbert hit all spring and has continued to do so this summer. Standing at a strong 5-foot-10, 175-pound frame, he has been a sub-7.00 runner for us in the past (6.94 60), showing one of the stronger arms from the outfield in the entire state (95 mph OF velo), while dislpaying barrel strength throughout the spring season - evidenced by his 10 home runs.

Carson Trivellini SS / 2B / Crystal Lake South , IL / 2027

5/16/25: "Uncommitted. Currently ranked No. 18 in the state. Lean and athletic 6-foot-2, 170-pound frame. Batted leadoff and played shortstop for the Gators. Defensively, he showed to have highly-athletic actions both pre-game and in-game. Trivellini has natural athleticism and bounce to his game pre-pitch and plays from the ground up. He has a soft, confident glove and shows a natural feel for the position. His arm plays easy and accurate from multiple angles while also being able to make throws on the move. Offensively, the right-handed hitter has a hitterish look to him while showing mature takes in the box. He has a flat path with quick hands, while showing minimal swing and miss. Trivellini is a name to continue to follow within the state’s sophomore class."

Jacsen Tucker SS / 3B / Oswego East, IL / 2027

From 3/6/25: "...stands out with his ultra-projectable 6-foot-3, 180-pound frame, and he continues to raise his prospect status with each look we get. Currently ranked No. 4 in IL, his right-handed swing continues to improve, working on the barrel with effortless power throughout his round, creating a peak EV of 99.9 mph and averaging 89 mph, also lifting his furthest batted-ball 375’. It's an easy swing that uses his levers well, staying short to the baseball with a handsy operation and balance throughout. He has also trimmed down his 60-time significantly, now running a 6.69. Tucker then continued his standout performance on the infield where he showed the ability to play through the ball with easy range, paired with a reliable glove up the middle. His arm is short, quick, and accurate, topping at 84 mph with more in the tank moving forward."

Kash VanHouten SS / RHP / Canton, IL / 2027

4/16/25: "Slated to rise in our next rankings update, VanHouten stands in an athletic and strong 6-foot, 181-pound frame. Started on the mound and batted third for Canton. On the mound, a competitor that attacks the zone with both a fastball and slider, high leg lift with tuck, repeats, quick arm that works out of a ¾ slot. Fastball sat 88-91 mph throughout the outing, touching 92 mph early, and played with life through the zone, arm-side action at times. Mixed in a slider at 74-79 mph with sharp action that garnered plenty of swing-and-miss, late action. Threw one change-up at 82 mph with fade. A right-handed hitter at the plate, VanHouten has moxie in the box and looks to hit, loose pre-pitch movement with bat speed through the zone, intentful swing with control. Finished the day 1-for-2 with a double and a run - in his only out, barreled a ball to deep centerfield for a flyout. After pitching, moved over to shortstop and showed actions and range up the middle of the field. We’ve continually seen VanHouten perform in-game, remains one of the state’s top sophomore prospects."

Ryan Wilberding C / OF / Libertyville, IL / 2027

4/1/25: "Uncommitted. Currently ranked No. 16 in the state. Strong-bodied, 6-foot, 203-pound frame, present strength throughout. Started in left field and hit in the five-hole for the Wildcats, took multiple quality at-bats and recorded a double. Intentful swing from the right side, ready to hit, aggressive in the zone and showed discipline with limited chase, will continue to hit at a high level."

Kaden Wasniewski 3B / RHP / McHenry, IL / 2027

6/19/25: "Uncommitted, currently ranked No. 2 in the state and No. 50 nationally. Athletic 5-foot-11, 182-pound frame with room to add strength. Came out of the pen in relief. Wasniewski threw an inning and two-thirds during the 4A State Finals. The right-hander operates from a simple delivery with a small leg lift into a drop/drive approach. Compact, clean, quick arm action from a high ¾ slot. His fastball sat 87-88 while topping out at 90 with life through the zone. Mixed in a slider that sat 74-76 with sharp actions. Also, flashed a low-80s changeup. A high-follow 2027 arm that was a major key for a McHenry team that was the 4A runner-up."

James Wasson RHP / Nazareth Academy, IL / 2027

5/10/25: "Uncommitted. Currently ranked No. 70 in the state. Lean, high-waisted 6-foot-5, 200-pound frame with some present strength throughout. Closed the game out for Naz and proved to be an arm to continue to know in the state. He has a simple and athletic operation, throwing from a loose and easy low ¾ slot. His fastball had life out of the hand, reaching up to 88 mph, while sitting 83-87 mph. Wasson would also toss in a 72-73 mph curveball to round out his arsenal."

Omar Avalos Jr OF / Father McGivney, IL / 2027

From 6/10/25: "Uncommitted, currently ranked No. 20 in the state. 5-foot-7, 165 pound strong, athletic frame. Avalos hit out of the two-hole and went 3-for-4 on the day with 2 RBI and one run scored. Left-handed hitter with a wide, upright stance, low-hand setup, and small leg lift. Compact swing with a gap-to-gap approach, showed above-average bat speed. Started the day with a triple into the right center gap that led to him scoring the first run of the game for McGivney. Finished with two hard-hit singles. Defensively, he showed range coming in towards the infield to make two catches, also showed a strong arm during I/O. Continues to impress in each of our looks this spring."

Braylen Brown RHP / 3B / Staunton, IL / 2027

From 2/9/25: "...solidified himself as a must-follow arm in Illinois’ sophomore class with a standout showing. At 6-foot-3, 190 pounds, Brown offers a lean, projectable frame with room to add strength, and he moves with fluidity down the mound, featuring a clean, loose arm action and effortless tempo. Since our last look, Brown has made noticeable strides, with his fastball now sitting at 85–90 mph, topping at 91, and showing impressive carry through the zone (17.2” IVB). His separator is a tight, high-spin 69–70 mph slider that profiles as a true swing-and-miss pitch—spinning up to 2,670 RPM with -18.6” of horizontal movement. He also mixed in a developing changeup at 80–84 mph with heavy arm-side fade. Brown is a high-upside arm that college coaches should have on their radar."

Graydon Leonard RHP / SS / GCMS High School, IL / 2027

From 3/12/25: "...is a young arm to watch moving forward. He has plenty to project on in his wiry 6-foot-1, 172-pound frame, and he is able to repeat his delivery and high ¾ release. His fastball played easy out of the hand in the 82-83 mph range with some carry traits and feel around the zone. To pair off the fastball he went to a curveball in the 70-72 mph range, flashing spin over 2,300 rpm and depth. His changeup has developing action and feel, but it plays clean out of the hand with some fade, 77-78 mph."

Liam Nash RHP / Westminster Christian, IL / 2027

From 2/19/25: "...the 6-foot-2, 201-pound right-hander showed an advanced feel for four pitches, starting with his four-seam fastball that lived at 88 mph throughout the ‘pen, showing hop and jump through the zone for strikes. He featured both a curveball and a slider, with the CB landing for strikes in the 73-74 mph range with short, tight 11/5 shape, and the slider acting more lateral with tight 10/4 bite, 75-76 mph. His final offering was a sinker with hard running action, 82-84 mph, almost acted like a firm changeup. Starter profile, definite high-follow."

Wade Ozment RHP / OF / Crystal Lake Central, IL / 2027

From 3/6/25: "...immediately stands out with his long, projectable frame at 6-foot-3, 186-pounds, and he moves with ease and athleticism on the mound. His fastball sat 87-88 mph, touching 89, and he spun a confident curveball that averaged 2435 rpm. His changeup showed quality fade, working low in the zone. Ozment stood out defensively as well; showing confident and natural actions in the outfield with range, while tying for the strongest arm for the event at 90 mph. At the plate, the right-handed hitter uses his levers to create some jump off the barrel to the middle of the field and the other way, peaking at 92 mph for his EV."

Quinn Rooney LHP / OF / Benet Academy, IL / 2027

From 6/19/25: "Uncommitted, currently ranked No. 32 in the state. Projectable 6-foot-5, 197-pound frame. Started at first and hit out of the five-hole. Rooney impressed Friday afternoon as he went 2-for-3 at the plate. The left-handed hitter operates from an open stance with a small leg lift. Strong hands from a pure swing that has a whole field approach. Connected on a line drive to left field for a single in his second at-bat. Worked a walk after going down 0-2 in the count during his third plate appearance. In his final appearance, Rooney would connect on the biggest hit of the game as he drove a ball deep into right field for a two-run triple to drive in the winning runs for Benet. Launched a solo home over the right field wall on Saturday during the 3A State Final."

Austin Winge RHP / OF / Lockport, IL / 2027

From 3/28/25: "Well-proportioned 5-foot-9, 171-pounds with a strong lower-half. Came in to close the game out for the Porters and had a loud outing. Simple and explosive mover down the mound with a drop/drive lower-half. Long, full arm action, high ¾ slot with acceleration out front. His fastball sat 88-90 mph, T92, with carry through the zone and flashed armside run for swing and miss, while showing above-average spin (2400+ rpm). He also showed a 12/6 curveball at 75-77 mph, and flashed a slider at 79 mph. Line: IP, 0 H, 1 BB, 0 R, 2 K. Winge is a high-follow name in the state’s sophomore class."
