7/24 vs. Colorado Game Recap
Tahoma RHP Talon Coker started on the mound for Team PNW, working one inning and flashing at times. Coker's arsenal was on full display with some nice jumps in stuff since our previous look, running his FB up to 90.2 MPH from a clean, fluid delivery. Coker carries a ton of upside in a lean 6'3 frame.

Team PNW's offense was locked in from the jump, starting the day with a first inning single and a stolen base from C Landon Klein. INF/OF Grayson Turnbow immediately drove in Klein with a single through the right side. Turnbow's run-scoring single was just the start of his stellar offensive day.
RHP Harrison Buckingham was the next arm to toe the mound for PNW, showcasing swing-and-miss stuff and plenty of potential despite some mixed results on the day. Buckingham ran the FB up to 90.8 and a sharp SL with spin rates north of 2400 RPM. After Buckingham's two innings of work, RHP Connor Maynard came in and produced some of the better results of the day, working two scoreless frames while allowing just one hit. Maynard, an athletic righty out of Eastlake High School, filled up the zone with a FB up to 88.1 MPH from a shorter arm action.
The PNW offense really got going in the middle innings, starting with a towering 2-run home run from Tahoma INF/OF Grayson Turnbow. The lefty maintained a tight turn on a fastball middle away for a shot to right, tying the game 3-3.

The offense continued to produce shortly thereafter, as INF JT Girod drove in a run with an RBI single. The Central High School product finished 1-3 from the middle of the order. Following this, Peninsula C Pete Browand left the yard for a solo home run. The 6th ranked player in Washington is no stranger to big hits at LakePoint, homering in JFG's two years ago.

Battle Ground INF Cooper McGowan put together some of the best at-bats all afternoon long, finishing 2-3 with a single and a triple. McGowan impressed in his workout on Wednesday and carried his momentum into gameplay, where his hard-nosed style of play was on full display.
A trio of arms shut it down for Team PNW in the later innings. Athletic righty Tanner Davis out of Kamiakin HS logged a K in his scoreless frame, working the FB up to 89 MPH. Canby RHP Jack Brauckmiller followed with a scoreless inning of his own, featuring a long 6'6 frame moving well down the mound and a three pitch mix for strikes. University product Leyton Hurley threw last for Team PNW, throwing perhaps the best inning of the day with a 1-2-3, 2 strikeout performance. Hurley ran the FB up to 90.8 MPH and was in total control throughout.
