Super Sophomore Games 2025: Quick Hitters Team South Carolina - Hitters Part 2

The East Coast Super Sophomore Games is the premier summer scouting event for Class of 2028 prospects.

Ten teams featuring players from Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Team Select competed at the beautiful UNC’s Boshamer Stadium and Burlington Athletic Park in North Carolina.

Team South Carolina completed their full pro-style workout on Friday at UNC.

QUICK HITTERS - POSITION PLAYERS(Part 2)

Beau Hite SS / RHP / Emerald High, SC / 2028

Demonstrates advanced pre-swing sequencing, allowing him to consistently get into strong hitting positions on time. Shows a compact, flat bat path that stays in the hitting zone, enabling consistent hard contact. Athleticism is a clear separator — posted a 6.75 laser-timed 60, translating well to game speed and range. Arm strength plays across the diamond, recording 85 mph across the infield with carry and accuracy. At the plate, displayed a line-drive oriented approach with the ability to drive the ball to all fields. BP rounds produced a top exit velocity of 94.8 mph, showcasing present bat speed and the potential for increased power as the frame continues to mature. Possesses a well-rounded toolset with the athletic upside to impact the game in multiple ways. 

Kaden Lank SS / 3B / North Myrtle Beach, SC / 2028

Strong, well-proportioned frame with noticeable physicality throughout. Generates big hand speed at the plate, producing loud contact and showing clear power potential still to be tapped into. Ultra-competitive makeup — plays with an edge and high-level focus in all situations. Defensively, shows solid middle infield actions with sure hands, fluid footwork, and the ability to make plays on the move. Arm strength measured at 83 mph across the diamond from shortstop with accurate throws and carry. Offensively, posted a max exit velocity of 92.6 mph in BP while showing a mature gap-to-gap approach, demonstrating the ability to use the middle of the field effectively while projecting for more impact as he continues to develop.

Emerson Morris SS / OF / Baylor, SC / 2028

Athletic, well-built frame with present strength and high-level tools across the board. Shows quick, strong hands through the zone with a line-drive approach, consistently using the entire field. Offensive profile is highlighted by a top exit velocity of 94.8 mph in BP, showing present bat speed and the potential for extra-base production. Defensively, displays a big arm across the diamond, reaching 89 mph with carry and accuracy, while showing the versatility to handle multiple infield positions effectively. Projects as a dynamic, impact-type player capable of contributing in all facets of the game.

Brady Quirk RHP / SS / Fort Dorchester, SC / 2028

 Long and lanky 6’2”, 170-pound frame with significant physical projection remaining. Moves well defensively, showing smooth, clean infield actions with the ability to field through the ball. Arm strength plays across the diamond, topping at 84 mph with carry and accuracy. Offensively, flashed impact potential during BP with a max exit velocity of 96.2 mph and a peak distance of 366 feet, showing emerging power that should continue to develop as he adds strength to his frame.

Griffin Gowens 3B / SS / Greenville Academy, SC / 2028

Easy, explosive bat speed with present juice and clear power upside. Offensively projects to drive the ball with authority as he continues to develop. Possesses a high-end tool set with significant ceiling and the athleticism to impact the game in multiple ways. Defensively shows versatility, capable of handling multiple positions effectively, with arm strength up to 88 mph across the infield. High-upside player with tools and makeup to project at the next level.

Allen Hegler 3B / 1B / Lexington, SC / 2028

Strong, physical young player with room to add strength and further develop as he matures. Generates loud contact with present power, posting a max exit velocity of 98.1 mph and a peak distance of 362 feet during BP. Ball jumps off the barrel with heavy carry to all parts of the field. Defensively, shows developing infield actions and footwork, with arm strength measured at 78 mph across the diamond. Offensive profile and physicality provide a strong foundation for future growth.

Mike Johnson 3B / SS / Georgetown, SC / 2028

Physical, run-producing profile with big-time juice at contact. Possesses raw strength, quick hands, and a short, direct path to the ball, creating loud barrels with present power and significant future upside. Consistently produces quality at-bats and has shown the ability to hit in every look, including this evaluation where he squared up multiple balls in game action despite coming directly from football practice. Strength, bat speed, and natural hitting ability make him a dangerous middle-of-the-order type with the potential to impact the baseball at a high level.

Charlie McCrory 3B / 1B / Spartanburg, SC / 2028

Powerful, well-built frame with present strength and impact potential. Shows quick hands and a mature approach, demonstrating the ability to drive the ball to all fields. Generated a top exit velocity of 99.9 mph in BP with a max distance of 353 feet, while Blast Motion data recorded a peak hand speed of 24.7 mph. Defensively, continues to develop footwork and arm strength but already shows the ability to handle both corner infield spots effectively. Offensive tools and physicality project to translate at the next level.
