CLARKSVILLE, TN — The Clarksville Summer ID was held at Austin Peay University on Tuesday, July 1st that featured top talent from the 2027-2029 classes. Players went through a pro-style workout with TrackMan, Blast Motion, and VALD Performance tech, while pitchers threw in a bullpen setting and were able to get data and metrics on our TrackMan unit.

Some prospects built on past showings, while others made strong first impressions.

Positional Profile: OF/SS
Body: 5-10, 175 pounds. Compact build with aggressive action. Solid developing power.
Hit: RHH. Even and balanced setup. Long stride with a shorter leg lift. Showed signs of developing power to the pull side. 68 mph bat speed with 9g of rotational acceleration.
Power: 93 mph max exit velocity (79.4 avg.); 340-foot max batted distance.
Arm: RH. INF - 82.00 mph. OF - 89.00 mph. 3/4 arm slot with good actions. Has shown continued development.
Defense: Has confident range to both sides of the ball. Good actions and smooth glove.
Athletic Testing: 6.79 runner in the 60-yard dash.

K'Saun Barksdale, Davidson Academy (TN), 2027 |
Positional Profile: OF/RHP
Body: 6-1, 174 pounds. Wide frame with room for muscle growth.
Hit: RHH. Wide base, lower handset Toe tap with a longer stride. Intent to lift the ball to the center-pull side. 69.1 mph bat speed with 8g of rotational acceleration.
Power: 82 mph max exit velocity (72.7 avg.); 283-foot max batted distance.
Arm: RH. OF - 77.00 mph. Slower over the top throwing motion. Has smooth actions throughout.
Defense: Shows clean glove with good confidence.
Athletic Testing: 7.05 runner in the 60-yard dash.

Ty Burklow, Christ Presbyterian Academy (TN), 2029 |
Positional Profile: 3B/1B
Body: 6-2, 195 pounds. Tall frame with proportionate limbs. Natural power with relaxed body movements.
Hit: RHH. Front leg wide, back leg even. Higher handset. Little to no leg lift. Short stride. Impressive pop to the pull side. mph bat speed with g of rotational acceleration.
Power: 91 mph max exit velocity (80.2 avg.); 348-foot max batted distance.
Arm: RH. INF - 79.00 mph. Long over the top motion with nice, quick transfers. Still early in his development.
Defense: Moves well to the ball with a nice actions. Tends to get glove down late.
Athletic Testing: 7.41 runner in the 60-yard dash.

Trey Fowler, Brentwood (TN), 2029 |
Positional Profile: SS/RHP
Body: 5-9, 150 pounds. Smaller frame with room to grow. Relaxed body actions.
Hit: RHH. Even and balanced setup. Mid-high leg lift. Short stride. Intent to lift the ball to the center-pull side. mph bat speed with g of rotational acceleration.

Arm: RH. INF - 77.00 mph. Sidearm arm angle and has really nice actions throughout the whole motion.

Body: 5-5, 105 pounds. Small frame with room to grow. Should add more muscle with age.

Power: 75 mph max exit velocity (67 avg.); 238-foot max batted distance.
Arm: RH. INF - 67.00 mph. Quick and compact motion. Will gain velo with continued development.
Defense: Moves well to the ball with a nice glove. Tends to have choppy feet at times.
