East Coast Super Sophomore Games: Team NC Standouts & Statistical Recap
The 2025 East Coast Super Sophomore Games marked the second edition of what has quickly become the premier summer scouting event for rising Sophomore prospects. Hosted at UNC’s Boshamer Stadium and Burlington Athletic Park, the event welcomed top talent from 10 territories, with players representing 12 states across the Northeast and Southeast.
The format included a full workout day on Friday, followed by gameplay scheduled across Saturday and Sunday. Despite weather disruptions throughout the weekend, Team North Carolina and Team Select—featuring over 30 of the top rising sophomores from the state—completed their full slate of games.
Friday’s workout at the University of North Carolina gave position players a chance to showcase athleticism, collect verified stats and advanced analytics, and go through on-field evaluations with batting practice and defensive work. Game play provided additional opportunities for prospects to rotate across positions and compete in a continuous batting order, allowing Prep Baseball scouts and evaluators a comprehensive look at each player.
As we turn our attention to the numbers and key performances, we highlight notable standouts and storylines from Team North Carolina and Team Select.
