The Rock 16U Summer Championship was undoubtedly one of the best tournaments we hosted all summer with 80 teams from around the Midwest. Continue reading below to see which players stood out the most to our staff from the weekend.

Athletes HQ (McCabe)
INF/RHP Andrew Evans (St. Charles East, 2027)
Presenting a projectable 6-foot, 162-pound frame, Evans would show a developing two-way profile throughout the weekend. At the plate, the right-handed hitter presented a line-drive approach with developing bat speed & some present feel for the barrel. On the mound, the right-handed arm would get the Saturday morning start and would throw three innings while allowing a singular earned run and collecting four strikeouts. Showed an upper-70s fastball that would top out at 80 mph.
C Evan Gomez (South Elgin, 2028)
Playing up a class, Gomez would show an intriguing left-handed bat through the weekend. Presenting a 5-foot-9, 167-pound frame, Gomez has an aggressive approach to go long with a twitchy swing and developing bat speed. Name to follow in the 2028 class as he adds more polish to his present toolset.
RHP/UTL Noah Hallahan (Geneva, 2027)
One of the top two-ways in Illinois’ 2027 class would continue to display an intriguing profile in front of our staff. Hallahan would show well during his three inning start on Monday, offering a quality three pitch mix, showing an 87-90 mph fastball with ride, a 72-75 mph breaking ball, and a 74-76 mph changeup. At the plate, the right-handed bat has added more twitch to his 6-foot-1, 191-pound frame. With present bat speed and strength, there is still promise with Hallahan’s bat, but his advanced profile on the mound may be more intriguing for college coaches as he enters the recruiting phase of his high school career. Nonetheless, Hallahan is a must-know name in Illinois’ 2027 class.
C Tyler Phillips (St. Charles East, 2027)
Phillips would show an intriguing profile throughout the weekend with quality actions on both sides of the baseball. At the plate, the right-handed bat showcased a line-drive oriented flamingo stance with developing balance and bat speed throughout his present swing. Defensively, the backstop showed good actions behind the plate with evident instincts and soft hands. Athletic 6-foot, 160-pound frame.
OF Kyle LaRose (St. Charles East, 2027)
LaRose would show a quality left-handed bat throughout the weekend with a quiet presence in the box, line drive approach, and developing bat speed. An athletic 5-foot-10, 155-pound frame, LaRose should be a name to follow as he continues to add strength to his already solid profile at the plate.
1B Dylan McCabe (St. Charles East, 2027)
One of the best defensive first basemen in the Midwest, McCabe would show a quality all-around profile throughout the weekend. At the plate, the left-handed bat would show a line-drive approach, a general feel to hit, and twitchy, loose hands. Defensively, showed active actions at the cold corner with evident instincts and athleticism that consistently played up for his AHQ squad. Wiry 5-foot-11, 154-pound frame with developing strength.
Canes Illinois 16u DeGeorge
OF Carson Hamblin (Lake Zurich, 2027)
A strong and athletic 5-foot-9, 192-pound left-handed hitter, Hamblin was all over the barrel Thursday afternoon, tallying two homers in a 9-7 win over Rhino CI 16u Short. Hamblin showed easy bat speed and a very relaxed look in the box with evident juice to the middle of the field. A 6.68 runner for our staff in the past, he also showed to have the range and athleticism that should allow him to stick in centerfield at the next level.
Cangelosi Sparks North-Black 2027
LHP/1B/OF Hayden Adamowicz (Schaumburg, 2027)
A recent standout at the Big Ro Memorial, Adamowicz would continue to cement himself as one of the better two-way prospects in the continuously emerging Illinois 2027 class. At the plate, despite limited results would show an intriguing loft-based left-handed bat with evident strength and a controlled aggressive approach. On the mound, Adamowicz would get the start during Sparks’ Saturday evening start, allowing no hits across five innings of work in which he would collect six strikeouts. Showing a three-pitch mix, Adamowicz would show an arm-side heavy fastball that was up to 89 mph along with a low-80s changeup and low-70s breaking ball that generated consistent swing-and-miss throughout his outing. Strong 6-foot-1, 190-pound frame with the makings of a starter at the next level.
3B Julio Ayala (Montini Catholic, 2027)
Ayala would show an intriguing LHH/3B profile throughout the weekend with advanced actions at the hot corner and an aggressive left-handed bat. At the plate, Ayala showed a whippy barrel with developing bat speed and present strength. Defensively, showed shortstop instincts at the hot corner with fluid footwork, soft hands, an accurate arm, and athleticism that consistently played up on the dirt. 5-foot-11, 185-pound frame with present strength & athleticism.
2B James “JJ” Obaldo (Fenwick, 2027)
Obaldo would show an intriguing profile with advanced defensive actions at the keystone and a developing right-handed bat that consistently showed well throughout the weekend. At the plate, Obaldo showed a whole field approach to pair with a line-drive oriented bat. Finished the tournament 5-for-12 with a triple, two RBIs, five runs scored, and three walks. Defensively, showed soft hands, fluid footwork, and developing arm strength. Developing 5-foot-7, 155-pound frame with present athleticism.
SS Carson Trivellini (Crystal Lake South, 2027)
Set to represent Team Illinois at the Prep Baseball Futures Games later this month, Trivellini would show an athletic up-the-middle profile throughout the weekend. At the plate, showed a compact swing with developing bat speed and strength. Finished the weekend 6-for-11 with a double, a triple, four RBIs, four runs scored, and two walks. Defensively, showed athletic actions with confident hands and footwork. 6-foot-2, 170-pound frame.
LHP Grayson Waters (Oak Park-River Forest, 2027)
Waters would pitch an inning of relief during Sparks’ Saturday evening matchup, allowing no baserunners while collecting a pair of strikeouts. Showed an 83-85 mph fastball to go along with a low-70s breaking ball. Projectable 6-foot-4, 180-pound frame. Name to follow in Illinois’ 2027 class.

3B Eric Acevedo (Lane Tech, 2027)
Acevedo would show quality actions on both sides of the ball throughout the weekend. At the plate, the right-handed bat showed a whippy barrel with developing bat speed and strength. Defensively showed rangy actions at the hot corner with fluid footwork and confident hands. Developing 5-foot-9, 150-pound frame with present athleticism.
1B Jacob Cordero (Ogden, 2027)
Cordero would show an intriguing right-handed bat throughout the weekend with present strength that consistently played up. Presenting a balance based and simple stride, Cordero consistently found the barrel with a slightly uphill bat path. Strong 6-foot, 200-pound frame.
OF Ahmad Dunbar (Mount Carmel, 2027)
Dunbar would show a quality RHH/OF profile with tools that consistently played up thanks to his twitchy athleticism. At the plate showed an athletic line-drive oriented swing with developing bat speed and some present feel for the barrel. Developing 5-foot-9, 155-pound frame with present athleticism and room for added strength.
INF Jayden Ibarra (St. Rita, 2027)
Ibarra would show a quality right-handed swing throughout the weekend with twitchy strength that would allow for his tool to consistently play up. An athletic 5-foot-11, 185-pound frame with present strength, Ibarra showed developing bat speed and feel for the barrel. Name to follow in Illinois’ 2027 class.
OF Jazarris Mackmore Jr (Marian Catholic, 2027)
A name who has continued to trend in the right direction since we saw him this February is Jazarris Mackmore Jr. An athletic 6-foot-1, 192-pound prospect, Mackmore has shown well on both sides of the ball all summer with seemingly every look. Thursday was more of the same, going 2-for-2 with a walk, and two RBIs while showing rangy actions in right field. A name for schools to know as the summer winds down.
OF Isaac Ochoa (Lake Central, 2027)
Ochoa would show a quality RHH/CF profile with wiry athleticism and strength that would consistently play up. At the plate showed a short bat path with developing feel for the barrel and bat speed. Defensively showed quality actions with an above-average first step. 5-foot-9, 145-pound frame with room for added strength.
RHP Josiah Patterson (Kenwood, 2027)
Patterson would show a quality two-pitch mix during this Saturday start, showing a fastball up to 86 mph along with an upper-70s slider that sported spin rates north of 2400 rpm. Athletic mover who worked from a 3/4s release, Patterson would show confidence in the zone with a 62.3% strike rate across his five inning outing in which he collected four strikeouts. Patterson would control the running game well with multiple successful pickoffs, a well controlled slide step, and evident baseball acumen on the mound. 5-foot-9, 171-pound frame with present athleticism.
SS Mikey Watson (Brother Rice, 2027)
Presenting a twitchy and athletic 6-foot-1, 175-pound frame, Watson showed well throughout the weekend. A natural defender up the middle at shortstop, he showed the type of athleticism and arm strength that should allow him to stick on the left side moving forward. The right-handed hitter also displayed an aggressive approach at the plate, paired with a confident look in the box. Name to know in Illinois’ 2027 class.
Edwardsville Tigers Scout 2027
OF Mathew Crownhart (Father McGivney, 2027)
Currently ranked No. 41 in Illinois’s 2027 class. Possessing a high-waisted 6-foot, 173-pound frame, Crownhart had a strong day at the plate in Saturday’s 12-2 win. The left-handed hitter worked out of a slightly open stance, working back in-line with a short lift/place stride. He showed loose hands at the plate with a line-drive approach. In his first at-bat, Crownhart lined a single into center field to bring in a run. He would go on to finish 1-for-1 at the plate with two walks, an RBI, and two runs scored.
SS Joe Stephan (Marquette Catholic, 2027)
Displaying an athletic 5-foot-11, 185-pound frame with strength present throughout, Stephan was all over the barrel in Saturday’s 12-2 win. The right-hander operated out of a balanced setup, showing strong hands into a slightly uphill path. He finished 3-for-3 at the plate with a double, three RBIs, two runs, and a stolen base. An intriguing 2027 bat to keep an eye on.
Elite Baseball Training Miller 16U
OF Quinn Rooney (Benet Academy, 2027)
Currently ranked No. 32 in Illinois’ 2027 class. Coming in at a projectable 6-foot-5, 197-pound frame with strength present throughout, Rooney has been a consistent performer in front of our staff since the spring. The left-handed hitter operated from a wider, slightly open setup, showing strong hands into a compact swing with feel for the barrel. Rooney will be representing Team Select at the Future Games.
C Isaac Heerdt (Chicago Christian, 2027)
Displaying a wiry 6-foot, 155-pound frame, Heerdt looked the part behind the dish and at the plate this weekend. The right-hander worked out of a narrow, upright stance, hanging his foot into a minimal stride, with loose hands that flowed into a direct path. Heerdt went 4-for-10 on the weekend with a double, two RBIs, and a run scored. On the defensive side, he showed quality catch-and-throw behind the plate with strong and accurate throws. An athletic catcher in the 2027 class to keep an eye on.
Encompass Expos 16U Harriman
RHP Max Linn (Duluth East, 2027)
Currently ranked No. 40 in Minnesota’s 2027 class. Standing in at an athletic 5-foot-11, 178-pound frame, Linn showed off some quality swing-and-miss stuff in his one inning of relief in Friday’s 6-1 win. The right-hander was an athletic mover on the mound, utilizing a high leg kick and finishing in-line down the mound, with a compact ¾ arm action. Linn struck out the side to close out the game, consistently missing barrels with his three-pitch mix. His fastball sat 85-87 mph with firm actions. He also flashed a sharp 11/5 curveball at 72-74 mph, and a downer changeup at 77-78 mph. A right-handed arm to follow in the 2027 class.
3B Vinny Udd (Denfeld, 2027)
Possessing a projectable 6-foot-5, 215-pound frame with strength present throughout, Udd was consistently on the barrel in Friday’s 6-1 win. The left-handed hitter worked out of a wider setup with no stride, showing strong hands into a flatter path, with the ability to control the barrel. He finished 2-for-3 at the plate with a double into the left-center gap, an RBI, and two runs scored. An intriguing bat in Minnesota’s 2027 class to keep an eye on.
Extreme Elite National 16u
MIF Tyler Rasch (St. Louis University, 2027)
An athletic, lean 5-foot-10, 150-pound frame left-handed hitting middle infielder got a start over at second during their Friday game. Working with a slightly wide stance and an easy swing through the zone, picked up two hits in his first two at-bats of the day both being triple to the pull-side gap. Defensively, has easy and smooth action that allows him to range to both sides of the field.
GRB Northstar 16U Navy
RHP Ike Crouser (Cretin, 2027)
Grouse would show well across two appearances throughout the weekend in which he would collect seven strikeouts across five innings of scoreless pitching in which he also allowed no hits. Showed a fastball up to 89 mph to go along with a low-to-mid-80s sinker with heavy arm-side run. Also showed a sharp mid-70s breaking ball. Athletic 6-foot-1, 185-pound frame.
C Jonathan Drevlow (Chanhassen, 2027)
Set to represent Minnesota at the Future Games later this month, Drevlow would show quality actions on both sides of the ball with present strength that consistently allowed for his present toolset to play up. At the plate showed an aggressive approach to go along with a strong barrel and quick hands. Finished the tournament 6-for-14 with two doubles, an RBI, a run scored, and two walks. Defensively showed quality actions behind the player with above-average catch-and-throw that has sported poptimes as low as 1.95 seconds in past showcase settings. Strong 6-foot-3, 211-pound frame.
RHP Aiden Herner (Century, 2027)
Herner would show an intriguing two-pitch mix during his Sunday bracket-play start. His fastball would sit 83-85 mph and was paired with a 73-75 mph breaking ball. Projectable 6-foot-3, 175-pound frame with room for added strength. Name to follow in Minnesota’s 2027 class.
OF/3B Kalin Jochum (Chaska, 2027)
Set to represent Minnesota at the Future Games later this month, Jochum would show a quality right-handed bat. Presenting an athletic swing with developing bat speed and a strong barrel, Jochum would consistently find the barrel for his GRB Northstar squad. Defensively got reps both in the outfield and at the hot corner with fringy actions at both positions. 6-foot-3, 210-pound frame.
OF Aeson Kiley (Hill-Murray, 2027)
An athletic left-handed bat that has consistently shown well in front of our staff, Kiley would continue to act as a quality top-of-the-order presence for his GRB Northstar squad. Presenting an athletic 5-foot-11, 170-frame, Kiley has present feel for the barrel and developing bat speed that consistently plays up.
SS Max Lerner (Hopkins Senior, 2027)
The no. 25th ranked player in Minnesota’s 2027 class, Lerner would show an athletic up-the-middle profile throughout the weekend. Defensively, showed athletic, rangy actions with confident hands and bouncy footwork. At the plate showed a simple contact-oriented swing with developing feel for the barrel. Athletic 5-foot-8, 137-pound frame With room for added strength.
RHP/1B Micah Lindsey (Burnsville, 2027)
Lindsey would show an intriguing two-way profile throughout the weekend. Presenting a strong 6-foot-3, 200-pound frame, Lindsey would show well during his Saturday start, collecting 10 strikeouts across five innings of work. At the plate, showed a competitive presence and patient approach. Finished the tournament 4-for-7 with a double, two RBIs, four runs scored, and five walks.
3B Brody Nelson (Prior Lake, 2027)
Nelson would show a strong right-handed bag throughout the weekend with a hitterish presence in the box with developing bat speed and present feel for the barrel. Finished the tournament 3-for-8 with a triple, an RBI, and a walk. Strong 6-foot-2, 190-pound frame. Name to follow in Minnesota’s 2027 class.
3B/RHP Jack Tooke (Mandan, 2027)
A consistent performer in front of our staff, Tooke showcased a smooth LH swing as well as athleticism on both sides of the ball. Showed the ability to adjust to off speed pitches as well as the ability to spray line drives all over the field. Impressed on the mound with an 83-86 mph fastball along with a sharp 70-74 mph breaking ball, and a mid-70s changeup with spin that sat in 1000-1200 rpm range. Athletic 6-foot-2, 187-pound frame. Set to attend the Prep Baseball Future Games later this month.

SS Landon Clements (McHenry, 2027)
Clements would show a quality up-the-middle profile throughout the weekend. At the plate showed an athletic left-handed swing with an opposite field approach to pair with line-drive intent. Finished the tournament 3-for-10 with a double, four RBIs, five runs scored, and a walk. Wiry 6-foot, 160-pound frame. Name to follow in Illinois’ 2027 class.
RHP/INF Sean Dabe (Huntley, 2027)
A recent two-way standout at The Big Ro Memorial, Dabe would continue to cement himself as a name to follow for college coaches. On the mound Dabe would make a relief appearance during GRB Illinois’ Friday matchup, collecting two strikeouts while throwing a singular inning of work. Worked primarily off an 83-85 mph fastball with arm-side run. Tunnelled off the fastball with a quality fading offspeed. At the plate showing an athletic line-drive oriented right-handed bat. 6-foot, 170-pound frame.
OF Jace Koth (Jacobs, 2027)
Koth would continue to show an athletic LHH/OF profile. Showed loose actions at the plate with line drive tendencies and quick hands. Finished the tournament 3-for-7 with an RBI, five runs scored, and three walks. Also showed quality defensive instincts in center with athletic routes and a solid first step on the grass. 5-foot-10, 160-pound frame.
LHP Nate Larson (Huntley, 2027)
Larson would show well during his Friday start, working three innings of no-hit baseball in which he would collect five strikeouts. Showed a low-80s fastball that would top out at 84 mph and was thrown alongside a mid-70s changeup with varying shape, particularly arm-side fade at its best. Athletic 5-foot-10, 175-pound frame. Name to follow for college coaches in Illinois’ 2027 class.
C Liam Schultz (Burlington Central, 2027)
Schultz would show a strong, rhythmic left-handed swing throughout the weekend, with bat speed and line-drive tendencies. Finished the tournament 4-for-10 with three RBIs, a run scored, and one walks. Schultz showed strength that would consistently play up throughout the weekend, allowing for his present toolset to play up at the plate. 5-foot-11, 200-pound frame.
1B Nicholas Sherry (Burlington Central, 2027)
Sherry would recently stand out at The Big Ro Memorial with a fastball up to 88 mph, but would stand out with a strong right-handed bat this past weekend. Showed an aggressive approach at the plate with loft-based intent, developing feel for the barrel, and bat speed. 5-foot-11, 182-pound frame with lean strength.
MIF Ryan Tucker (Jacobs, 2027)
Tucker would show a quality up-the-middle profile this past weekend with a hitterish presence at the plate along with athletic actions at the keystone. At the plate showed a strong right-handed bat with a slightly uphill bat path, hand speed, and pull-side tendencies. Defensively showed athletic footwork and confident hands on the dirt. 5-foot-10, 176-pound frame with compact strength throughout.
3B/RHP Kaden Wasniewski (McHenry, 2027)
Wasniewski would continue to cement himself as one of the best two-way players in the nation with twitchy athleticism that consistently shows well on both sides of the ball. At the plate showed an athletic right-handed swing with explosive bat speed and lean strength that would finish the tournament 9-for-11 with four doubles, two triples, eight RBIs, seven runs scored, and two walks. On the mound would get the Saturday start, collecting seven strikeouts across three innings of work. Showed the makings of a four-pitch mix which included a high spin 89-92 mph fastball that would top out at 94 mph that was thrown alongside a sharp low-80s slider, and mid-70s curveball. Also flashed a changeup at 84 mph. Set to represent Illinois at the Future Games later this month, Wasniewski is a must-know name on the national stage and should be a name to follow for college and professional evaluators.
GRB Rays North Green
C Arthur Adams V (Bay Port, 2027)
Adams would show an advanced feel for the barrel, consistently extra bases throughout the weekend, including two home runs during GRB North’s Saturday matchup with Halos National. Showed a strong right-handed barrel with loft-based tendencies and developing bat speed. Defensively showed fringy actions with confident hands and developing instincts. Strong 6-foot, 214-pound frame.
RHP Ty Bumgardner (Notre Dame, 2027)
Set to represent Wisconsin at the Future Games later this month, Bumgardner would show a quality two-pitch mix during GRB North’s Sunday bracket play matchup. Showed an 82-85 mph fastball that would top out at 86 mph and was thrown alongside a 76-78 mph slider with sharp break and spin rates north of 2500 rpm. An athletic 6-foot-2, 182-pounds with levers, Bumgardner should add more velocity and polish to his present profile as he continues to add strength and body control to his present toolset on the mound.
RHP Jacob Coisman (Luxemburg-Casco, 2027)
Coisman would show quality actions on the mound during his Saturday start against Halos National, collecting eight strikeouts across five innings of work in which he allowed zero earned runs. Showed a quality, high spin two-pitch mix which included an upper-80s fastball that topped out at 89 mph along with a 74-78 mph slider. 6-foot-3, 175-pound frame with long levers and room for added strength. Set to represent Wisconsin at the Future Games later this month, Coisman is a must know name for college coaches.
RHP Cade Heiman (Oshkosh West, 2027)
Heiman would throw five and two-third innings out of the pen during GRB North’s Sunday bracket play matchup, collecting seven strikeouts while allowing no runs and a single hit across his outing. Showed a deceptive 3/4s release with a solid two-pitch mix. Worked with a low-80s fastball that would top out at 83 mph along with a low-70s breaking ball with spin rates north of 2700 rpm. Athletic 5-foot-11, 175-pound frame.
OF Ethan Orlando (Bay Port, 2027)
The no. 59th ranked player in Wisconsin’s 2027 class, Orlando would continue to perform in front of our staff with a dynamic toolset and wiry 6-foot-1, 177-pound frame. At the plate showed an athletic right-handed swing with bat speed and some loft-based intent. Showed athletic actions in center with a solid first step and developing instincts. Must know name for college coaches in the rising junior class.
1B Wyatt Stauss (Marinette, 2027)
Strauss would show a strong right-handed barrel throughout the weekend with loft-based intent and bat speed that consistently played up. Presenting a strong 6-foot-2, 235-pound frame, Stauss moves well for his size with athleticism that shows up both at the cold corner and at the plate. Name to follow in Wisconsin’s 2027 class as he continues to add more polish to his present toolset.
SS Braun Wotruba (Pulaski, 2027)
Currently ranked No. 37 in Wisconsin’s 2027 class. Displaying a compact 5-foot-9, 185-pound frame with present strength throughout, Wortuba was all over the barrel in Saturday’s 9-2 win. The right-handed hitter operated out of a narrow, upright setup, utilizing a longer stride, with loose hands into a direct path, creating length through the zone. Wotruba looked the part batting out of the leadoff role, finishing 4-for-4 at the plate with two doubles, an RBI, and two runs scored.
LHP Drew Stettbacher (Horace Mann, 2027)
Currently ranked No. 48 in Wisconsin’s 2027 class. Coming in at a high-waisted, projectable 6-foot-1, 170-pound frame, Stettbacher had a stellar showing on the bump to give GRB Rays North Green a 9-2 victory on Sunday. The left-hander worked out of a controlled up-tempo delivery, utilizing a high leg kick into a deceptive slight cross-fire finish, showing a loose low ¾ arm action. He was able to consistently miss barrels with his three-pitch mix, securing ten strikeouts through six innings of work. His fastball was located well around the zone, sitting 82-85 mph with heavy arm-side run. He also utilized a sweeping curveball at 69-71 mph that flashed out-pitch potential, and a late fading changeup at 72-74 mph. An overall impressive performance from the left-hander, who will be representing Team Wisconsin at the Future Games.
OF Harrison Selk (Preble, 2027)
Possessing a wiry 5-foot-10, 180-pound frame, Selk put together a quality weekend at the plate. The left-handed hitter worked out of a wider setup, featuring a minimal toe-tap stride, showing a loose, handsy swing with quick bat speed. Selk was consistently on the barrel throughout the weekend, finishing 8-for-18 with a double, seven RBIs, and nine runs scored.
GRB Rays Yellow 16U
C Nolan Pennekamp (DeForest, 2027)
Standing in at a strong-bodied 6-foot-2, 220-pound frame, Pennekamp had a strong showing at the plate during Saturday’s pool play. The right-hander possessed a wider stance with a longer toe-tap stride, showing a compact swing with whole field power. Pennekamp waited back on an offspeed pitch to send it to deep center field for a double. He would go on to finish 2-for-3 at the plate with a run scored.
GRB Stiks Teal 16u
1B Liam Gann-Dudgeon (Whitefish Bay, 2027)
Gann-Dudgeon displays a strong 5-foot-10, 190-pound frame. At the plate in the third inning, he doubled on a line drive to the opposite field on two strikes to score a run. He has a wide stance with a heavy barrel. In the field, he covers a lot of ground at first base.
SS Damen Lonstine (Cedarburg, 2027)
Presenting a twitchy 5-foot-8, 164-pound frame, Lonstine would show an athletic up-the-middle profile throughout the weekend. At the plate, showed a gap-to-gap approach with line-drive intent and twitchy, loose hands. Defensively showed athletic footwork, confident hands, and developing arm strength. Michna would show a strong left-handed bat throughout the weekend with line-drive intent, developing bat speed, and some present feel for the barrel. Finished the tournament 8-for-16 with four doubles, a triple, seven RBIs, two runs scored, and a walk. Athletic 5-foot-11, 190-pound with present strength.
RHP Nelson Raciti (Brookfield East, 2027)
Raciti would show an intriguing two-pitch mix during his Sunday bracket play start. Worked off an 80-82 mph fastball along with a 70-72 mph slider with gradual break and spin rates north of 2800 rpm. Athletic 5-foot-9, 178-pound frame. Name to follow in Wisconsin’s 2027 class.

1B/RHP Derrik Beckstrand (Elkhorn Area, 2027)
Standing at a strong 6-foot-3, 237-pounds, Derrik Beckstrand was a threat at the plate. He collected two hits with an RBI. He singled on a line drive to left field in the fifth inning followed by a hard ground ball single to left field in the sixth. He has a strong presence at the plate with a level swing and a heavy barrel. Beckstrand also put together a strong showing on the mound Thursday morning. Showcasing a loose and easy delivery down the mound, he sat 84-85 mph with his fastball that showed armside run, while throwing consistent strikes with a 67-70 mph slider. He punched out four batters over four innings of work, while scattering just one hit in the outing.
OF Carter Fry (Wisconsin Lutheran, 2027)
Set to represent Wisconsin at the Future Games later this month, Fry would continue to show a twitchy RHH/CF profile with athleticism that continuously showed well throughout the weekend. At the plate showed a whippy barrel and gap-to-gal approach with present feel for the barrel and developing bat speed. Defensively showed evident foot speed that consistently allowed for his reads and routes to play up on the grass. Developing 5-foot-11, 155-pound frame.
RHP Henry Koopmeiners (Waukesha North, 2027)
Possessing a strong 6-foot-3, 220-pound frame, Henry Koopmeiners was dominant on the mound. He threw six innings allowing one earned run, two hits, and one walk while striking out three. He pounded the zone with his 81-83 mph fastball complemented with a tight 75-77 mph breaking ball. He is rhythmic and loose on the mound with a feel for the zone.
OF/LHP Joey Shaw (Muskego, 2027)
Set to represent Wisconsin at the Future Games later this month, Shaw would show a developing two-way profile throughout the weekend. At the plate showed an athletic left-handed swing with aggressive approach and developing feel for the barrel. On the mound showed athletic actions while working from a high 3/4s release with a low-80s fastball. Twitchy 6-foot, 181-pound frame.

C Frank Covelli Jr (Lockport, 2027)
Covelli would show an athletic RHH/C profile with a twitchy toolset that would consistently play up throughout the weekend. At the plate showed a line-drive approach with loose hands and some present feel for the barrel. Finished the tournament 3-for-9 with two RBIs, one runs scored, and three walks. Defensively showed Athletic actions behind the plate with confident hands and evident defensive instincts. Wiry 6-foot, 161-pound frame.
RHP Jett Hill (LaSalle-Peru, 2027)
Hill would show well during his Saturday start, throwing a four inning complete game in which he would collect five strikeouts while not allowing an earned run. Showed an upper-70s fastball that would top out at 80 mph with spin rates north of 2400 rpm. Also showed an upper-60s breaking ball with spin rates north of 2800 rpm and a 69-72 mph changeup with spin rates in the 1700-1900 rpm range. Presenting an athletic, lean frame Hill should be a name to follow as he adds more strength. Feel for spin is often coveted when evaluating young arms and Hill’s ability to generate spin at his current velocity ranges stands out.
SS Tyler Koma (Plainfield North, 2027)
Koma showed an athletic up-the-middle profile this past weekend. At the plate showed a rhythmic right-handed swing with line-drive intent and developing feel for the barrel. Finished the tournament 4-for-8 with a double, five RBIs, one run scored, and four walks. Defensively showed bouncy actions with developing arm strength. Name to follow in Illinois’ 2027 class.

SS Carlos Prado (Preble, 2027)
Standing in at a lean 6-foot, 140-pound frame with room for added strength, Prado was consistently on the barrel in both of Friday’s pool play games. The switch-hitting shortstop showed strong, intentful swings with a feel for the barrel from both sides of the plate. On Friday, Prado finished 4-for-6 at the plate through two games with a double. An intriguing switch-hitting shortstop to follow in Wisconsin’s 2027 class.
3B Drew Hagedorn (Shawano, 2027)
Possessing a wiry 5-foot-9, 150-pound frame, Hagedorn had a strong day at the plate in Friday’s pool play game. The right-handed hitter worked out of a balanced setup, showing rhythmic hands that flowed into a flat path. Hagedorn found a barrel into the left-center gap for a stand-up double, finishing 1-for-1 at the plate, with two walks, and a run scored.

C Brady Dunnett (Oswego, 2027)
Presenting a compact 5-foot-6, 168-pound frame with strength, Dunnett would show an intriguing LHH/C profile throughout the weekend. At the plate showed a hitterish look in the box with a present feel for the barrel and quick hands. Finished the tournament 5-for-10 with a double, two home runs, five RBIs, six runs scored, and four walks. Defensively showed confident actions with soft hands and evident baseball acumen. Name to know in Illinois’ 2027 class.

RHP Tristan Olson (Eagan, 2027)
Displaying a lengthy and long levered 6-foot-2, 165-pound frame with plenty of room for added strength, Tristan Olson was dominant on the mound. He threw five innings allowing zero runs on only four hits. He threw a running 80-84 mph fastball that paired up nicely with his sharp 74-76 mph slider. He moves easily on the mound with a balanced finish.

OF Jeffrey Hartman III (All Saints Central, 2028)
Hartman would show an athletic RHH/OF profile this past weekend. At the plate showed a twitchy, line-drive oriented right-handed swing. Athletic 5-foot-9, 145-pound frame with room added strength. Name to follow in Michigan’s 2027 class as he adds more strength to his present athletic toolset.
3B Braelyn Penn (Ann Arbor, 2026)
Penn stands at an athletic and projectable 5-foot-11, 160-pound frame with plenty of room for added strength. At the plate, he drove a run in the first inning on a line drive to right field. Penn has a smooth swing with strong hands and a quick bat path. He is athletic in the field and quick to the ball.

MIF AJ LaSane (St. Joseph, 2027)
The no. 127th ranked player in Indiana’s 2026 class, LaSane would show an athletic up-the-middle profile this past weekend with a quality line-drive oriented swing along with evident defensive instincts. At the plate showed twitchy hands and some present feel for the barrel and bat speed. Defensively showed confident footwork and developing arm strength. 5-foot-11, 180-pound frame with present strength and athleticism.
OF Tanner Rachels (Niles, 2027)
Presenting a twitchy 5-foot-11, 165-pound frame, Rachels would show a quality RHH/OF profile this past weekend. At the plate showed an athletic swing with line-drive intent and quick hands. Name to follow for college coaches as Rachels as more strength to his present toolset.

RHP Michael Bernardi (Hartland, 2027)
Bernard would show well across multiple appearances on the mound this past weekend. Showed a fastball in the low-80s, topping out at 84 mph in both outings our staff saw. Also showed a low-to-mid-70s breaking ball in both outings as well. An athletic, rhythmic mover on the mound, Bernardi showed some present feel for the zone. Athletic 5-foot-11, 180-pound frame.
LHP/1B Jackson Fossitt (Leslie, 2027)
The no. 4th ranked player in Michigan’s 2027 class, Fossitt would show an advanced profile on the mound this past weekend. Getting the Saturday start, Fossitt would collect six strikeouts across five innings of work in which he allowed no earned runs. Confident in the zone throughout his outing, Fossitt sported a 68.5% strike rate, offering the clear makings of a starter at the next level. The fastball would sit 88-90 mph, topping out at 91 mph with spin rates north of 2500 rpm. Also showed an advanced upper-70s breaking ball with swing-and-miss traits and spin rates north of 2800 rpm. He would also tunnel a 82-85 mph changeup. Working from a low-3/4s slot with deception and rhythm on the mound, Fossitt is a must know name on the national stage as he heads down to Georgia for the Future Games later this month. At the plate showed a strong right-handed barrel with line-drive intent and developing bat speed. Finished the tournament 5-for-11 with a triple, two RBIs, and three runs scored. 6-foot-3, 220-pound frame with strength that adds to his overall toolset.
OF Jaxon Gatt (Catholic Central, 2027)
Set to represent Michigan at the Future Games later this month, Gatt showed an athletic RHH/OF profile that offered plenty of intrigue to our staff. Presenting a line-drive approach, Gatt showcased a direct bat path with quick hands. Defensively showed athletic actions on the grass with foot speed that played up. 6-foot-3, 195-pound frame.
RHP/SS Brady Hamilton (Howell, 2026)
Presenting a 6-foot-5, 195-pound frame, Hamilton showcased a developing two-way profile that should offer plenty of intrigue for college coaches down the stretch. An athletic defender at shortstop, Hamilton showed impressive range and confident hands. At the plate showcased developing feel for the barrel to pair with a line drive approach. On the mound showcased a fastball up to 87 mph. With long-levers, Hamilton should add more polish to his profile as he adds more strength.
LHP/OF Colton McCaleb (Mason, 2026)
A strong build listed 5-foot-9, 190-pounds, the left-handed pitched toed the rubber late Friday afternoon. McCaleb tossed 4 1/3 shutout innings in a five inning game, striking out seven of 17 batters faced and gave up just one hit with four walks. Using a stretch only delivery, McCaleb worked quickly. During the outing McCaleb used a fastball/curveball mix to attack the hitters. The fastball played with some arm-side run and sat 80-83 mph throughout the four innings. His secondary pitch being the curveball was thrown with confidence being able to be thrown in any count or to any hitter, worked on a 1/7 plane and sat 68-70 mph. McCaleb flashed a changeup a few times with sinking action coming in the mid-70s. McCaleb would also act as a quality top-of-the-order presence with hitterish actions out of the leadoff spot. Finished the tournament 5-for-10 with a double, three RBIs, three runs scored, and six walks.

OF Gavin Hanson (Prior Lake, 2027)
Hanson would offered a promising left-handed bat this past weekend. Showed an athletic swing with line-drive intent, developing feel for the barrel, and bat speed. Athletic 5-foot-10, 155-pound frame with room for added strength.
C Christopher Worm (Prior Lake, 2027)
Worm was on the barrel throughout the weekend, offering an athletic RHH/C profile for our staff to evaluate. Defensively showed athletic actions behind the plate with quality catch-and-throw to pair with soft, confident hands. At the plate showcased a gap-to-gap approach with line-drive intent, developing bat speed, and some present feel of the barrel. Wiry 6-foot-3, 175-pound frame.

DH Nolan Wold (New Life Academy, 2027)
Displaying a lengthy and long levered 6-foot-3, 145-pound frame with plenty of room for added strength, Nolan Wold was seeing the ball well at the plate. He collected two hits in two at-bats. Wold singled on a line drive to center field in the first inning, followed by a lead-off double to center field in the fourth inning. He has a relaxed presence in the box with a smooth swing.

OF Elijah Bohm (Tremont, 2027)
Standing 5-foot-10, 150 with an athletic frame. The outfielder got the start in centerfield and displayed his range tracking down the ball with ease. He stayed on the barrel all game long tallying multiple hits including a double and a triple while showing an advanced feel for the barrel. Bohm is a name to follow in the state over the next couple years.
C Noah Luser (Illinois Valley, 2027)
Presenting a 5-foot-10, 220-pound frame. Showed well with the bat this weekend tallying multiple hits, including a ball that he sent all the way to the wall on the fly in left field. Lusher also showed the ability to control the barrel as well, sending a single back up the middle.

C Grady Cheever (Germantown, 2027)
Set to represent Wisconsin at the Future Games later this month, Cheever would showcase a quality left-handed bat with athleticism that consistently played up. At the plate showcased a line drive approach with quick hands and developing feel for the barrel. Defensively showed athletic qualities with above-average catch-and-throw to pair with confident hands. 6-foot-1, 158-pound frame with room for added strength.
OF Kingston Grisolono (Kewaskum, 2027)
Set to represent Wisconsin at the Future Games later this month, Grisolono would show hitterish actions in the box with advanced baseball acumen which make him a must know name in the Midwest. An athletic left-handed swing with slightly uphill bat path and advanced bat speed, Grisolono showed advanced feel for recognizing spin out of the hand. Finished the tournament 5-for-10 with a home run, four RBIs, four runs scored, and four walks. 6-foot, 191-pound frame.
SS Ryan Rose (West Bend West, 2027)
Set to represent Wisconsin at the Future Games later this month, Rose would show clean, effortless movements at shortstop, gap to gap power and a knack for finding the barrel. Melodic LH swing, calm presence in the box. 6-foot-1, 195-pound frame.

Hollrah would show a quality RHH/C profile this last weekend. At the plate showcased a gap-to-gap approach with hitterish actions in the box. Defensively showed confident actions with evident baseball acumen that consistently played up for our staff. Strong 6-foot-3, 219-pound with levers and present athleticism.
MIF Grant Hummel (Washington, 2027)
Hummel showcased an intriguing up-the-middle profile. At the plate showcased a direct bat path, line-drive approach, and developing hand speed. Defensively showed fringy actions on the dirt with confident footwork and developing hands. 6-foot-1, 187-pound frame.
OF Colton Wolff (Fort Zumalt, 2027)
Wolff would show a twitchy profile throughout the weekend. At the plate showcased a line-drive approach, present feel for the barrel, and developing bat speed. Athletic 5-foot-11, 175-pound frame.

RHP Kobe Jordan (Providence Catholic, 2027)
Jordan was a name we labeled as a follow after last summer in which he showcased a long-levered frame and fastball up 81 mph. A summer later Jordan would show major strides in his profile on the mound with an 83-85 mph fastball and a sharp 72-73 mph slider. 6-foot-5, 215-pound frame. Should add more polish to his profile on the mound as he learns more body control and adds strength.
OF Josh Perez (Joliet Catholic, 2027)
Perez would act as a quality top-of-the-order presence for his Rhino’s squad, showcasing a quality line-drive oriented right-handed bat. Finished the tournament 6-for-13 with two doubles, a triple, two RBIs, four runs scored, and two walks. Athletic 5-foot-11, 170-pound frame with room for added strength.
RHP Matthew Whitman (West Praire Senior, 2027)
Whitman would get the Saturday start for his Rhinos squad and would collect nine strikeouts across four and a third innings in which he allowed no earned runs and only one hit. Working from a quick low-3/4s slot, Whitman showed an 85-87 mph fastball to pair with an upper-70s changeup. Was confident in the zone throughout his outing, sporting a 60.5% strike rate. Athletic 5-foot-6, 159-pound frame.
3B Lincoln Boersma (Providence Catholic, 2027)
Currently ranked No. 31 in Illinois’s 2027 class. Possessing a long-levered 6-foot-1, 180-pound frame, Boersma showed quality actions at the plate in Saturday’s 9-1 win. The right-hander operated out of a slightly open setup, showing loose hands that worked into a level path, with a feel for the barrel. Boersma sent a deep shot into center field for a stand-up double, finishing 1-for-3 with an RBI, and two runs scored. He also came in for one clean inning of relief, topping out at 85 mph with his fastball, and inducing weak contact with his three-pitch mix. Another strong showing from one of the top two-ways in Illinois.
MIF Colin Grosenheider (Williamsville, 2027)
Standing in at a wiry 5-foot-11, 157-pound frame with room for added strength, Grosenheider showed clean actions up the middle all weekend. Offensively, the right-handed hitter featured a balanced setup with a short toe-tap stride, displaying direct hands that worked into a level path. He found the barrel for a bases-clearing double to right-center field in Saturday’s 9-1 win, finishing 1-for-2 on the day with three RBIs and a walk. Defensively, Grosenheider showed a steady glove, with a strong arm, and multiple smooth double play turns.

1B Landon Beckman (Normal University, 2027)
A strong 6-foot-2, 207-pound frame at first base, the left handed hitter showed well on Thursday afternoon going 2-for-2 with easy power at the plate. One of our top performers at Central IL summer ID with a 102.5 exit velo. Showed his ability to hit to both gaps with power, barreled one to the opposite field for an RBI double. Looked the part in the field as well having no trouble picking balls over at first.
SS Parker Roop (Normal University, 2027)
The 6-foot-1, 159-pound shortstop took some loud swings Thursday afternoon. Was all over the barrel with a no doubt home run to his pull-side. Showed his speed with a triple later on in the afternoon followed up with a two strike single later. Showed well at our Central IL Summer ID with a 95.6 exit velo. Soft hands and arm that will play at short.
Slammers Black 2027
SS/RHP Madden Cotts (Libertyville, 2027)
Standing 5-foot-8, 152-pounds with an athletic frame. The right-hander made multiple appearances over the weekend displaying multiple offerings. First, Cotts’ fastball sat between 83-86 mph and was thrown alongside, 72-73 mph slider, and a changeup that sat between 76-79 mph.
1B/RHP Aksel McKnight (Libertyville, 2027)
Standing 6-foot-3, 210-pounds with a strong, lean frame. Got the start on the mound for the Slammers and displayed a fastball that was up to 83 while sitting 79-82 with run. He worked a slider off of that which sat 73-75 with sharp action.
C Michael Thompson (Loyola, 2027)
Thompson showcased a repeatable RH swing to pair with a strong 6-foot-2, 196-pound frame. Long levers allowed his swing to play well to the opposite field. Drove in the tying run late in a

Strong 6-foot, 203-pound frame. Soft hands behind the plate to pair with advanced blocking ability. Calm presence at the plate, ability to do consistent damage which was showcased in a two home run game this weekend.

A recent standout at the Big Ro Memorial, Hillard continued to showcase a twitchy left-handed bat with present feel for the barrel. Lean 6-foot-1, 175-pound frame with room for added strength.
SS Vincent Junkas (Downers Grove South, 2027)
A switch hitter, Junkas would show a rhythmic left-handed bat with developing hand speed and a direct bat path. Defensively showed athletic actions up-the-middle with confident hands and fluid footwork. 5-foot-11, 170-pound frame.

DH Max Kading (Loyola HS, 2027)
Featuring a strong 6-foot-1, 195-pound frame, Max Kading was seeing the ball well at the plate. He didn’t commit an out as he collected three hits in three at-bats. His first hit was a lead off single to center field in the second inning, followed by an RBI double to right field in the fourth, then a lead off single in the fifth. He has strong hands and utilizes his strength to drive the ball to all the fields.

SS Will Bute (York, 2027)
Possessing an athletic and proportionate 5-foot-10, 160-pound frame, Will Bute had a strong showing at the plate. In the third inning, he tripled on a line drive to center field followed by an RBI single to left field in the fourth inning. He has a relaxed stance with soft hands and a level swing. He displays quick actions at shortstop.
