MURFREESBORO, TN — The Murfreesboro Summer ID was held at Riverdale High School on July 2nd, that featured top talent from the 2026-2030 classes. Players went through a pro-style workout with TrackMan, Blast Motion, and VALD Performance tech, while pitchers threw in a bullpen setting and were able to get data and metrics on our TrackMan unit.

Some prospects built on past showings, while others made strong first impressions.

PITCHER REPORTS

Colton Baron, Siegel (TN), 2026 |
Positional Profile: RHP/OF
Body: 6-2, 200-pounds. Stocky build with long limbs.
Delivery: Very athletic mover with electric actions. Gets down the mound aggressively.
Arm Action: RH. Present arm speed with a 3/4 release (can be slightly lower at times)
FB: T88, 86-88 mph. FB is a ground ball machine, tons of life. T2273, 2146 average rpm.
CB: 72-75 mph. CB shows very good 12/6 break, can land it whenever. T2174, 2135 average rpm.
SL: 74-77 mph. SL has sharp late movement, blends with other pitches well. T2386, 2350 average rpm.
CH: 77-79 mph. CH has swing and miss potential, present feel for throwing it as a strike and letting it work. T1841, 1743 average rpm.

Thomas Evans, Webb (TN), 2026 |
Positional Profile: OF/RHP
Body: 5-10, 198-pounds. Physical frame with athletic body movements and solid, repeatable mechanics.
Delivery: Stretch primarily, is simple with his actions, leg lift and go with good pace down the mound.
Arm Action: RH. Slingshot lower 3/4 release.
FB: T85, 82-84 mph. FB comes out lower out of the hand and stays there, tricky pitch. T2147, 1880 average rpm.
SL: 75-77 mph. SL shows late life with effective smaller movement to it. T2323, 2134 average rpm.
CH: 74-76 mph. CH will devastate LHH, and will be hard for RHH as well. T2249, 1636 average rpm.

Caleb Gilbert, Nolensville (TN), 2026 |
Positional Profile: RHP/2B
Body: 6-0, 159-pounds. Taller frame with long limbs
Delivery: Uses a hand pump and toe tap for timing, as he turns into a belly button high leg lift that has a slight turn in with the upper body and legs.
Arm Action: RH. Very intriguing arm, hides it well with a whippy 3/4 release.
FB: T87, 83-86 mph. FB shows very good life out of his hand, should get on hitters. T2409, 2256 average rpm.
CB: 72-74 mph. CB is very sharp with late movement, sweeping tendencies. T2662, 2522 average rpm.
CH: 79-80 mph. CH shows very good life down and to the armside. T1686, 1535 average rpm.

Russell River Johnston, Hillwood High (TN), 2027 |
Positional Profile: C/RHP
Body: 6-1, 157-pounds. Thinner frame with composed movements that result in explosive action.
Delivery: Shows a smooth delivery with pace throughout, good action down the mound,
Arm Action: RH. Very efficient action with a 3/4 slot release.
FB: T83, 81-83 mph. FB plays firm with solid command within the strike zone. T2067, 1932 average rpm.
CB: 71-74 mph. T2138, 1935 average rpm.
SL: 73-75 mph. SL has tight 3/9 movement T2131, 2072 average rpm.
CH: 73-74 mph. CH showed spotty command at times, with solid action when landed. T1347, 1203 average rpm.

Colson Kelley, Franklin Co High School (TN), 2028 |
Positional Profile: RHP/SS
Body: 5-8, 156-pounds. Smaller frame with room to grow. Smooth, athletic actions.
Delivery: Keeps his balance centered as he gets into a controlled move down the mound.
Arm Action: RH. Shows a bigger swing behind the body into a 3/4 release.
FB: T80, 72-80 mph. FB shows late cut to it, with a good feel for command. T2422, 2015 average rpm.
CB: 60-64 mph. CB shows big 12/6 movement, good feel for creating spin. T2727, 2574 average rpm.
SL: 67-69 mph. SL shows good spin with late movement. T2603, 2115 average rpm.
CH: 67-70 mph. Spotty feel for his CH, has good life when located. T2563, 1225 average rpm.

Kaden McCarty, Independence (TN), 2028 |
Positional Profile: OF/RHP
Body: 6-0, 153-pounds. Longer frame with proportional limbs.
Delivery: Is tall with his posture as he gets into a controlled leg lift with very good back hip presentation.
Arm Action: RH. Arm works very well into a 3/4 release, more armspeed eminent.
FB: T83, 81-83 mph. FB has good angle through the zone, could be difficult to get on plane with. T2143, 2068 average rpm.
CB: 70-71 mph. CB shows good movement, with more horizontal action when he gets it across his body. T2234, 2177 average rpm.
CH: 74-75 mph. Shows solid feel with his CH, good depth at times. T1575, 1497 average rpm.

Miles McClure, South Gibson County Elementary School (TN), 2028 |
Positional Profile: C/RHP
Body: 5-10, 168-pounds. Wiry frame with proportional limbs. Composed, athletic actions.
Delivery: Methodical in his actions with good use of his lower half down the mound.
Arm Action: RH. Big swing behind the body, almost at a M shape at footplant, but spirals well with good armspeed into a 3/4 release.
FB: T83, 82-83 mph. His FB has good feel for spin with early signs of life to it. On great pace developmentally. T2199, 2127 average rpm.
CB: 68-71 mph. CB has really good movement, with bite late. T2161, 1902 average rpm.
SL: 72-73 mph. SL shows a good differential off the CB, with late bite to it. T1919, 1906 average rpm.
CH: 72-75 mph. CH complements his entire arsenal well, good depth to the armside. T1599, 1440 average rpm.

Ty McKenzie II, Lipscomb Academy (TN), 2029 |
Positional Profile: SS/RHP
Body: 5-8, 143-pounds. Smaller frame with room to grow. Flowing, athletic movements.
Delivery: Repeatable actions with still developing body control. Good base to grow on.
Arm Action: RH. Early armspeed in a 3/4 release.
FB: T76, 73-75 mph. Good feel for his FB in the zone that can have some tail to it. T1879, 1695 average rpm.
CB: 56-57 mph. CB has good 12/6 movement, spin will come. T1571, 1454 average rpm.
SL: 66-66 mph. T1513, 1513 average rpm.
CH: 64-65 mph. CH comes out of the hand well and will play as he grows. T1642, 1633 average rpm.

Brady North, Summit (TN), 2026 |
Positional Profile: LHP/1B
Body: 6-1, 156-pounds. Taller and thinner frame with proportional limbs.
Delivery: Has a slight turn inward at the top of his leglift, getting good engagement of his back hip. Moves well down the mound.
Arm Action: LH. Arm has good action into a lower 3/4 release. Has more velocity in there .
FB: T78, 77-78 mph. FB has great tail into the armside, tough look for LHH. T2072, 1961 average rpm.
CB: 64-66 mph. T1558, 1471 average rpm.
SL: 66-70 mph. Early feel for spin with his SL, some sharpness at times. T1657, 1570 average rpm.
CH: 70-73 mph. CH shows really solid movement, can be a devastating offering. T1555, 1496 average rpm.

Jack Schmahl, Oakland (TN), 2028 |
Positional Profile: LHP/1B
Body: 5-11, 173-pounds. Compact frame with proportional limbs
Delivery: Generates solid separation with an athletic move down the mound.
Arm Action: LH. Arm works with solid speed through a 3/4 release.
FB: T83, 80-82 mph. FB has life, will play harder than it reads. T2339, 2287 average rpm.
CB: 65-67 mph. CB shows good movement with solid feel for location. T2320, 2214 average rpm.
SL: 70-70 mph. SL has solid downward movement, will keep hitters off balance. T2185, 2185 average rpm.
CH: 71-74 mph. CH has solid bite late, can kill more spin for more. T2258, 1345 average rpm.

Hayden Yandell, Father Ryan (TN), 2026 |
Positional Profile: RHP/RHP
Body: 6-3, 174-pounds. Wiry frame with proportional limbs.
Delivery: Slower in pace into his leg lift, before getting ramping it up with an aggressive move down the mound.
Arm Action: RH. Very quick arm with smooth action into a 3/4 release. More velo in there.
FB: T87, 86-87 mph. Throws his FB with confidence, shows life out of the hand. T2281, 2126 average rpm.
CB: 69-76 mph. CB is spun very well with sharp movement, can command it to both sides of the plate. T2706, 2591 average rpm.
SL: 74-74 mph. SL has solid shape to it, tight movement. T2522, 2522 average rpm.
CH: 81-82 mph. CH has very good late life presently, with very solid command of it . T1703, 1603 average rpm.
