The 14th annual Future Games took place on July 22-27 at LakePoint in Emerson, Georgia. Top uncommitted prospects in the classes of 2027 and 2028 participated in one of the most popular events each year.

There were 36 teams, including Team Michigan, with players representing 43 states plus Canadian prospects. Each team played three games the final three days of the event after all position players are put through a showcase workout on Wednesday, the first day of the Future Games.

More than 300 colleges from across the country were looking on as approximately 500 players participated in this year’s event. This year, more than 450 college coaches from all over the country were in attendance.

2025 Future Games: Team Michigan - Talent Continues To Stand Out At The Future Games

EMERSON, Ga. - The Future Games, an event that began in 2011, continues to draw raves.

With more than 400 college coaches on hand for the second year in a row, those in attendance come away impressed.

Adam Goodwin, the Director of Scouting for Prep Baseball Michigan, was one of them.

“I thought the overall talent from Junior Future Games to Senior Future Games was very competitive across all states,” Goodwin said. “It’s good for our kids to get a taste of what it’s like to play against the best kids in their respective classes on a national stage.”

Goodwin was particularly impressed with the showing from the Future Games squad of 24 players from the 2027 class.

“We were certainly challenged whomever we faced and saw a lot of good players that will end up playing at top-tier college programs,” Goodwin related. “Dylan Crowe, Broder Katke and Dominic Bonnetti all had strong weeks positionally and Grady Preston certainly made a name for himself pitching against Kentucky with a strong outing.”

Admittedly, a lot is involved in making it happen.

“Our staff puts in a ton of time and effort in constructing the roster for all three age groups and identifying the players at our preseason winter events, into the high school season and at Top Prospect Games,” Goodwin explained about what goes on in selecting players for the event.

The Juniors, which faced Oklahoma, Alabama and New Jersey, also drew the attention of Goodwin and his staff.

“Our kids played hard,” Goodwin noted. “We played against some states and kids they usually wouldn’t see in the summer.”

A Prep Baseball thank you to all that participated and a special thanks to the players on Team Michigan that gave their thoughts about the event (including what schools have been in contact with them since Aug. 1):

PBR: What were your Future Games highlights?
My highlight of the Future Games was being able to play in front of so many scouts with such great talent.

PBR: Assess your performance.
My velocity was down from what I normally hit, but I was happy with my off-speed and my spin rates.

PBR: Give your thoughts on being part of Team Michigan and what stood out.
Being a part of Team Michigan was a great honor and experience. It was really fun to play with the top kids in my state!

All of the competition was elite and very fun to face. It was good to see where I sit in terms of talent and abilities as compared to others in the country.

PBR: How can participating in the Future Games help you in the future?
Participating in the Future Games helps me to see where I need to work and has motivated me to keep pushing myself and make gains.

PBR: What, if any, college coaches have you been in contact with since the event ended and the Aug. 1 deadline has been reached?
I haven’t been in contact with any coaches. However, I did gain a few followers on X from college coaches.

PBR: What were your Future Games highlights?
My Future Games highlight was being the starting pitcher against team Kentucky. I was really happy with the outcome.

PBR: Assess your performance.
My performance went well. I filled the zone well and threw pretty hard.

PBR: Give your thoughts on being part of Team Michigan and what stood out.
My thoughts of being a part of Team Michigan was how much fun it was to be able to play with the best in the state. I loved playing with some of my summer ball teammates and also people I know in the area.

PBR: Touch on the competition you faced at the event.
The competition was great. Each game was a battle and a close game and the pitchers were all very solid.

PBR: How can participating in the Future Games help you in the future?
The Future Games can help me in the future with getting in front of colleges and showcasing my talents to the schools I’d like to consider. The exposure is huge.

PBR: What were your Future Games highlights?
It was an honor just to represent Team Michigan and wear the jersey with Michigan across my chest. It was very cool to play with the best players in Michigan. It was fun to get to know them all and to be in the dugout with them sharing stories and memories. The first game we played vs. Ohio under the lights was incredible. The stands and stadium was packed with family and scouts from around the country. The overall atmosphere that night and really all week I won’t ever forget.

PBR: Assess your performance.
I thought I was swinging the bat well all week. I had some good at-bats each day against the best arms in the country. I pride myself on defense but I was a little disappointed in my play in the field on the last day. I made a couple of throws that could have been better for sure. I hope I showed that my athleticism is a big strength of mine.

PBR: Give your thoughts on being part of Team Michigan and what stood out.
I really did feel pride in representing the state of Michigan. I know there are a lot of players that wished they could’ve been on this team. I felt blessed and I felt it was my job to represent Michigan well. The other thing that stood out was just being around the best players in the state and around the country. Everyone on Team Michigan was super cool and supportive of one another.

PBR: Touch on the competition you faced at the event.
The competition we faced each day was unreal. Each pitcher threw in the high-80s or low-90s with great off-speed to go with it. We faced more lefties than I expected as well. The other thing I noticed was the overall speed of everyone. It was a fast game.

PBR: How can participating in the Future Games help you in the future?
I definitely felt some nerves and pressure playing alongside the best players and in front of so many scouts. I had to learn to try to slow my mind and breathing down. I know I will take that type of experience back with me. Also, playing in front of so many scouts reminds you that all the little things matter and you have to do those little things every time. You never know who’s watching.

PBR: What, if any, college coaches have you been in contact with since the event ended and the Aug. 1 deadline has been reached?
On Aug. 1, I was fortunate enough to have a great conversation with Oakland University. I’m super excited to continue my relationship with Oakland and their coaching staff. I continue to receive invites to upcoming prospect camps. Some of those schools include: Princeton, Bradley, Baylor, Mississippi State, Saginaw Valley State, Long Wood University and others.

PBR: What were your Future Games highlights?
My Future Games highlights were having three extra-base hits throughout the week and connecting with my teammates.

PBR: Assess your performance.
I feel like I did really well down there. I had competitive at-bats all week and really showed the college coaches that I can contribute to winning baseball.

PBR: Give your thoughts on being part of Team Michigan and what stood out.
It was an honor being a part of Team Michigan. I’m super grateful for the opportunity. What stood out is the competitive nature that everybody plays with down there.

PBR: Touch on the competition you faced at the event.
The competition we faced was super good. We faced almost every team’s best arms every game and it was super fun getting a chance to compete against the best.

PBR: How can participating in the Future Games help you in the future?
In my perspective, the Future Games can definitely help me in the future in building relationships with coaches and players.

PBR: What, if any, college coaches have you been in contact with since the event ended and the Aug. 1 deadline has been reached?
I’ve been in contact with schools such as Louisville, Notre Dame, Michigan State, Toledo, Central Michigan, Old Dominion, Akron and Oakland.

PBR: What were your Future Games highlights?
Power and control at the plate  was for sure my highlights. I went 3-5 with two walks, two doubles and a single and made some good defensive plays at third base, too. I’ve been working on power and hitting over the last several years and being able to accomplish what I did under pressure, with high-velocity pitching, at Futures is a win for me personally.

PBR: Assess your performance.
There is nothing I would change about my performance. I did well under pressure, contributed to the team and kept my confidence up. I also was able to get two outs for the team in game three on throw downs from shortstop and catcher. One of them was a game ender.

PBR: Give your thoughts on being part of Team Michigan and what stood out.
Being part of Team Michigan was an overall great experience. Bonding in-game with the team was great. I have known a lot of these guys through the years. but also there were lots of cool features I wasn’t expecting. I attended seminars on NIL money and nutrition which helped me understand more about college ball and myself as an athlete.

PBR: Touch on the competition you faced at the event.
The competition was tough but felt like we were on par. The innings roll over at number of pitchers or number of batters so the score of the game isn’t really a true marker of game performance. Twice in the game against Ohio, Michigan had bases loaded but the inning had to switch.

PBR: How can participating in the Future Games help you in the future?
Coaches have reached out and made reference to Future Games. It has helped me rise above others simply because I went. But you have to work hard to get there. One college reached out to me and specifically said they liked my bat at Future Games. Having been to the Future Games is like having an endorsement.

PBR: What, if any, college coaches have you been in contact with since the event ended and the Aug. 1 deadline has been reached?
I am talking to five schools, four are D-I and one is D-3.

Logan Exner OF / RHP / Southgate Anderson High School, MI / 2027

PBR: What were your Future Games highlights?
I feel like my highlights were my 60 and putting up some great at-bats against the top arms in the country.

PBR: Assess your performance.
I think I did okay, could have been better but that's just baseball.

PBR: Give your thoughts on being part of Team Michigan and what stood out.
It was an amazing experience being on Team Michigan. There is really nothing like it so I was beyond grateful to be there and had a great time meeting everyone and competing.

PBR: Touch on the competition you faced at the event.
The competition was really just top tier, you’re seeing the best of the best from all around the country.

PBR: How can participating in the Future Games help you in the future?
Participating in this event will hopefully help me in the near future to get in contact with colleges to play at the next level.

PBR: What, if any, college coaches have you been in contact with since the event ended and the Aug. 1 deadline has been reached?
I have been in contact with Louisville.

PBR: What were your Future Games highlights?
My Future Game highlights were coming in to face Team Ohio and being able to compete against my Cane’s teammates. I was able to pitch three innings instead of two.

PBR: Assess your performance.
I thought I did pretty well and felt like I showcased myself in hopes that colleges are interested in me and want to build a relationship. I was able to limit Team Ohio to soft contact hits while striking out four batters.

PBR: Give your thoughts on being part of Team Michigan and what stood out.
Being a part of Team Michigan was a blast. Being able to play with those guys was an awesome experience.

PBR: Touch on the competition you faced at the event.
The level of competition was amazing and even though we didn’t win all of our games, we battled hard and gave all we had. Everyone that was invited was there for a reason. They are competitors and amazing players. The competition was second to none. Every game had the best of the best from their state trying to win.

PBR: How can participating in the Future Games help you in the future?
Participating in the Future Games was a game changer. I had the opportunity to showcase my abilities and competitive nature.

PBR: What, if any, college coaches have you been in contact with since the event ended and the Aug. 1 deadline has been reached?
On Aug. 1, Cal State Bakersfield contacted me and we had a great conversation. I’m glad they reached out and got the opportunity to build a relationship with them.

PBR: What were your Future Games highlights?
The Future Games was a great event and I had a great time the whole week. Some of the highlights were being able to perform in front of many schools, and getting to attend all of the classes that were set up. The classes were very beneficial and taught me lots of little key things I was not aware of.

PBR: Assess your performance.
Although getting one hit, I believe I performed very well. On the hitting side, I barreled almost every ball I hit which in my mind is successful. On the defensive side, I caught well. My framing and blocking were consistent throughout the tournament.

PBR: Give your thoughts on being part of Team Michigan and what stood out.
Being a part of Team Michigan means a lot to me. I felt honored knowing I’m recognized as one of the top players in Michigan and got to play with many other talented players.

PBR: Touch on the competition you faced at the event.
The competition there was great. Every arm I faced or caught were all upper-80s and some being in the 90s. Facing this competition is great to see because it gives me a challenge and allows me to progress each game I play.

PBR: How can participating in the Future Games help you in the future?
Participating in this event is extremely beneficial for my future. With the amount of coaches at the event, I was able to showcase many of my tools and show coaches that I have what it takes to play at the next level. This exposure opened up lots of opportunities that could potentially shape my future for baseball.

PBR: What, if any, college coaches have you been in contact with since the event ended and the Aug. 1 deadline has been reached?
So far I have been in contact with Notre Dame, Michigan State, Wright State, Columbia, Oakland, George Mason and Akron.

Tre Eitniear SS / RHP / Whiteford, MI / 2027

PBR: What were your Future Games highlights?
My Future Games highlights were hitting an opposite-field single and beating out an infield grounder. Defensively, it was turning a double play and assisting in a double play.

PBR: Assess your performance.
I feel my performance overall was pretty good. I hustled on and off the field after every inning and played hard for all three games.

PBR: Give your thoughts on being part of Team Michigan and what stood out.
Being on Team Michigan was a huge honor. It really made me reflect on all the work I have put in. To be named one of the players to compete on this team was a huge accomplishment.

PBR: Touch on the competition you faced at the event.
The competition at Future Games was ELITE! Going against the best players from each state was a huge challenge. All pitchers were throwing hard and had great off-speeds, and all defenses were playing clean and smooth.

PBR: How can participating in the Future Games help you in the future?
Future Games can help me in my future by allowing me to see what I have to get done to get to the next level of baseball. I’ve noticed some things I exceed in and others I don’t, and that’s what Future Games has shown me. It allowed me to put myself on a scale toward some of the best in the United States. Future Games also helps get my name out to colleges and they can all see me playing in front of them.

PBR: What were your Future Games highlights?
My Future Games highlights focus on the environment you get to play in. There is no better feeling than getting the chance to perform against the best of the best from all over the country. Being able to take a step back and realize there isn’t any one better than who is at the event. Getting the opportunity to showcase my skills while everyone is doing the same, all for the same goal - college. I don’t think there is a better place for me and the kids around me to showcase their talent in pursuit of our goal.

PBR: Assess your performance.
My performance at the Future Games was definitely eye opening as I realized that, yes, these kids are all talented, but you shouldn’t let that impact the way you play your game. I definitely faced some adversity in my two innings, but being able to showcase my talent in crucial parts of the game makes me feel highly of my performance. Going out there and throwing two scoreless while picking up 3 Ks is definitely like a pat on the back.

PBR: Give your thoughts on being part of Team Michigan and what stood out.
Receiving the chance to be a part of Team Michigan was truly honoring to say the least. Being with the absolute best players in the state and getting the opportunity to compete against the best of the best with them was amazing. Coming in, I knew a decent amount of my teammates, but not all of them. Getting the chance to meet them and build new bonds with new people is what sports are all about. Definitely a meaningful experience being able to represent my state.

PBR: Touch on the competition you faced at the event.
Regardless of what state we competed against, every team was going to be at their very best, making the games consistently competitive. Playing against this kind of elite competition makes the rest of your journey as a baseball player easier, knowing that there aren’t any better opponents. To be the best, you must compete against the best.

PBR: How can participating in the Future Games help you in the future?
Participating in the Future Games puts you on the radar for countless coaches. Living a life where I strive to play high-level college baseball, this event provided nothing but the best opportunity for myself. Exposure like this is second to none, definitely a 1 of 1 experience being able to attend this event.

PBR: What, if any, college coaches have you been in contact with since the event ended and the Aug. 1 deadline has been reached?
Since the Future Games event, I have received interest from Rice University, Eastern Michigan University, Western Michigan University, Longwood University, and Oakland University.

PBR: What were your Future Games highlights?
My Future Games highlights were generating weak contact and having my off speed work well.

PBR: Assess your performance.
My velocity is not where I would have liked it to be, but my off speed and command worked well.

PBR: Give your thoughts on being part of Team Michigan and what stood out.
I loved being on Team Michigan. We had a great group of kids and played some good competition.

PBR: Touch on the competition you faced at the event.
We faced three good teams with a lot of great hitters and pitchers. I faced Kansas and they worked a lot of great at-bats.

PBR: How can participating in the Future Games help you in the future?
Future Games can help me in the future by getting my name out there to schools and coaches around the country.

PBR: What, if any, college coaches have you been in contact with since the event ended and the Aug. 1 deadline has been reached?

PBR: What were your Future Games highlights?
My Future Games highlights were competing with Team Michigan against some of the best kids in the Midwest.

PBR: Assess your performance.
Overall I did pretty good, having a great showcase day with a great BP round. I had multiple very-competitive at-bats along with a hit and multiple walks.

PBR: Give your thoughts on being part of Team Michigan and what stood out.
The team atmosphere was great. Seeing all these great athletes was motivating and fun to be a part of.

PBR: Touch on the competition you faced at the event.
The competition we faced was amazing. Almost every arm that we saw was hitting 90 on the mound with great off-speed stuff to go along with it.

PBR: How can participating in the Future Games help you in the future?
I think the Future Games is a career-changing event. There’s no other showcase and atmosphere that’ll get you around this type of competition in front of that amount of college coaches.

PBR: What were your Future Games highlights?
Future Games was an incredible experience. Competing against high-level talent from across the country really pushed me to bring my best. I was proud to throw two clean hitless innings with three strikeouts, and I felt like I commanded both my fastball and breaking ball well. Just as important, I enjoyed learning from the coaching staff and connecting with teammates from different regions. The experience gave me even more motivation to keep developing and preparing for the next level.

PBR: Assess your performance.
I was happy to contribute and do my job on the mound. My focus was on throwing strikes, keeping the tempo up, and giving my team a chance to stay in rhythm. I felt good about my performance, but there’s always something to improve on, whether it’s sharper off-speed or better pitch sequencing. I’m just grateful for the opportunity to have participated in the Future Games. Now it’s time to focus on continued development.

PBR: Give your thoughts on being part of Team Michigan and what stood out.
Being part of Team Michigan was an incredible experience. It felt like everyone was locked in and competed well. We had a lot of talent on the roster, but what really stood out was how quickly we came together as a team. Guys were supporting each other, competing hard, and having fun while still taking the game seriously. It was great to wear the Michigan jersey and represent the state with a group of guys who love the game as much as I do. I’m really proud I got to be part of it and I walked away better for it, both as a player and a teammate.

PBR: Touch on the competition you faced at the event.
At Future Games the competition really challenged my mental toughness, especially moments like being down 3-0 in the count. Those situations test your focus because it’s easy to get anxious or lose confidence. I stayed calm, trusted my mechanics, and focused on making quality pitches rather than worrying about the count. That mindset helped me reset and compete pitch by pitch, which is crucial at this level. It’s definitely a skill I’m working on to get even better at as I keep progressing. It was a valuable experience that showed me areas I’m doing well in and areas I can keep improving.

PBR: How can participating in the Future Games help you in the future?
Being around guys who are all working hard and bring different strengths pushed me to raise my own game. Watching how they handled pressure and competed every day taught me a lot about preparation and mindset. Those lessons, both on and off the field, will definitely help me grow as a player and teammate moving forward. Also, the Future Games exposed me to high-level feedback that I can use to refine my skills. Beyond that, the experience builds my confidence and mental toughness by putting me in pressure situations. Overall, it’s a great stepping stone that prepares me for the next level of baseball.

PBR: What, if any, college coaches have you been in contact with since the event ended and the Aug. 1 deadline has been reached?
Schools that have contacted me are Virginia, Louisville, Coastal Carolina, Illinois, Michigan State, Oakland, Akron and Notre Dame.
