On Wednesday, June 25th, the 17s took the field in Kansas City for the Midwest Premier Super 17. A total of 158 teams from 11 different states were in attendance. The event showcased some of the top talent we’ve seen at the park, including 64 Senior Future Games participants and numerous Power Four college commits. Several of these standouts will be names to watch as the 2026 MLB Draft approaches next summer.

Semifinal 1: The Minnesota Blizzard Blue 2026 rallied after an early deficit, exploding for 12 runs over three innings to defeat the Houston Wildcatters 2026 National in four frames and advance to the championship. Spencer Barta went 3-for-3 with three RBIs, while Sam Abrahamson added three more with a double.

Semifinal 2: BOA Oklahoma 2026 jumped out early behind a Luke Hill solo homer and a bases-clearing triple from Ritson Meyer, but Building Champions 17u National stormed back. BC answered with a string of RBI hits from Kendall Hagedorn, Hayden Sharp, Will Ray, and Drew Yockey, then capped it with a Henry Goodwin solo shot in the fifth to complete the comeback and secure the win.

Championship Game: The Minnesota Blizzard Blue 2026 and Building Champions 17u National met in the Midwest Premier Super 17 championship, and the game did not disappoint.

The Blizzard struck first with a Spencer Barta RBI single in the opening frame and added another run in the second on an RBI groundout. BC answered in the bottom of the second when Will Ray lined an RBI single to center, then broke through in the fifth with four runs—highlighted by Ray’s bunt single, an Acy VanRheen two-run double to right-center, and a Brady Stewart RBI groundout. The Blizzard made things interesting in the seventh, cutting the lead to two on a Chase Rudolph RBI triple to bring the tying run to the plate. BC turned to Grant Seibert, and two ground balls later the game ended on a double play, sealed by an impressive scoop at first from Drew Yockey.

Super 17 MVP: Drew Yockey (Building Champions) hit .350 with a 1.235 OPS, 3 Doubles, 2 HR and 6 RBIs.
