On August 6th, the Prep Baseball New Jersey staff hosted the NJ Unsigned Senior Games at FDU Florham in Florham, NJ. 46 players participated in a pro-style workout, gathering unrivaled access to data through our state-of-the-art tech partners, as well as gameplay and in-depth scouting analysis from our Prep Baseball NJ staff.

Earlier this week, we released the Statistical Analysis from the event, highlighting some of the best statistical metrics from the day as well as a Positional Data Dive and Pitching Data Dive.

Today, we will be looking at the prospects that stood out to our staff within this Takeaways story.

Pitchers

RHP Jack Cartaina (Morristown Beard, 2026)
Arguably the most dominant performance of the day. Long, lean athletic frame. Fastball jumped on hitters at 87-89 mph and ripped off some breakers for strikes, too. One of, if not the top prospect to come out of this event. 6-foot-2, 215-pound frame.

LHP Brody Moore (Brick Memorial, 2026)
The spin king. Moore was flicking fastballs in the mid to upper 80s with 2600+ rpm and dominating the bottom half of the strike zone. The breaker is legit. 12/6 at 75-77 mph with 2500+ spin and is able to kill spin on his changeup, too. FB topped at 88.6 mph.

RHP Ayden Wolfe (Cherokee, 2026)
Wolfe is intriguing at 6-foot, 220-pounds. Back end of bullpen type, long levers and fastball at 85-87 T88 mph with some late life. The slider had a smaller 10/4 break at 79-82 mph. An arm to follow coming out of the event.

RHP Connor Harrison (Delsea, 2026)
Big fan of Harrison’s pitchability. Whippy arm action, lanky/athletic frame at 6-foot-1, 175-pounds. Solid feel for spin at 70-76 mph and 2400+rpm too. Able to add/subtract velo on breakers with ease. Elbow climb on the backside but whip to arm action bodes well for more velo in the future. One of the top arm prospects from the event.

RHP Jace Loeb (Glen Ridge, 2026)
Your prototypical starter profile, 6-foot-4, 200-pounds. Loeb’s effortless delivery and extension out front are noteworthy. Broad shouldered, projectable frame. The fastball worked in the mid 80s, topped 86 mph with a changeup and slider.

RHP Joaquin Rivera (Bergen Catholic, 2026)
Lanky, athletic frame - long loose arm action from a true ¾ slot. Really liked how the ball jumped out of hand, the fastball worked up to 85 mph. True swing and miss changeup in the low 70s that fades arm side.

RHP Caden Lozito (West Essex, 2026)
Athletic and whip to arm action. When the breaker is on, it’s legit, 12/6 with 2500+ rpm. More velo in the tank, too. 5-foot-11, 155-pounds, fastball worked in the low to mid 80s. Interesting follow from the event. Currently ranked No. 99 in the state's 2026 class.

RHP Logan Streitz (Pennsville, 2026)
5-foot-10, 170-pounds, two-way potential - long athletic arm action. Slider is swing and miss at 73-76 mph with 2090+ rpm, true out pitch. High 3/4 release, fastball was up to 85 mph with 21+ in of avg. total movement. Currently ranked No. 106 in the stats's 2026 class.

LHP Kyle Harrison (Delsea, 2026)
Currently ranked No. 115 in the state’s 2026 class. Long, whippy arm action with some effort on the finish. Fastball topped 82 mph from the left side with a breaker for strikes. Competed in the zone. One of the top arm prospects from the event.

RHP Jack Walsh (Westwood, 2026)
Broad shouldered 6-foot, 180-pound frame. Two way prospect potential at the next level. Got swings and misses with the fastball up in the zone, up to 88 mph. Armside run on FB when down in the zone. The curveball had 2090+ rpm.

Position Players

SS Jack Walsh (Westwood, 2026)
Currently ranked No. 88 in the state’s 2026 class, Walsh has a strong and athletic frame. Impressive workout day on both sides of the ball. Multiple EV’s 100+ and a max distance of 355’+. Explosive bat path through the zone. Loud BP, turned heads. Projects as a power hitting corner guy.

OF Christopher Joy (Marlboro, 2026)
The top overall position player prospect from the event. Strong showing in the workout and in gameplay. Multiple extra base hits in the game. Lanky/athletic 6-foot-2, 185-pound frame. Really impressed with the motor and skill level. EV was peaking at 100.4 mph with a near 400’ max distance (394’).

C Aiden Funk (Red Bank Catholic, 2026)

EV peaked at 98 mph with a max distance of 354’. One of the top catch and throw catchers from the event. Able to receive velo, too. Pop time range of 2.00-2.08 and tossed 73 mph from the chute.

C Dominic Favieri (Delran, 2026)
Favieri is up there with one of the best pound for pound athletes from the event. 7.12 runner, 96.8 EVs, and the best catch and throw metrics from behind the plate (1.87-1.98 pop, 81 mph arm). Lean, athletic frame at 6-foot, 150-pounds. Really impressed with bat to ball skills and catch and throw skills. Don’t expect Favieri to be available for much longer.

1B Luke McKenty (Washington Township, 2026)
Really liked the simplicity to McKenty’s setup in the batters box. Quiet at the start then explodes the barrel through the zone. Punished some balls in BP with backspin in the gaps. Up to 95 mph EV, averaged 84 mph EV.

1B Connor Sweeney (James Caldwell, 2026)
Some movement pre-pitch to get into his backside, but Sweeney gets into a good position at launch to deliver an impact on the barrel. LHH with some barrel accuracy when he’s on time. Maxed at 94 mph EV with an impressive 89 mph average. Had a max distance of 360’.

1B Blake Duddy (Oratory Prep, 2026)
Duddy has steadily progressed each time we’ve gotten a chance to see him. Always a loud batting practice round that grabs the attention of all, topped 91 mph EV. Stays in his legs, uphill finish. Reliable hands at 1B, improved footwork.

C Danny Haggard (Delbarton, 2026)
Steady, reliable backstop. Caught some of the top arms in the state in the spring for Delbarton, 2.05-2.16 pop time, 72 mph from the chute. At the plate, balanced, stays in the ground with feet, up to 91 mph EV with an average of 86 mph.

Passes the eye test at 6-foot-3, 175-pound and long, athletic frame. Back spun some balls into the gaps with authority in his BP round, reached 96 mph EV, avg. of 85 mph.

SS Brayden Thorp (Kingsway, 2026)
One of the top INF’s from the event. Some twitch in the infield, clean hand exchange, throws topped at 87 mph across the diamond. At the plate, tall, athletic stance with balance and effortless stroke through the zone. EVs peaked at 94 mph with a max distance of 343’, 7.19 runner.

C/1B Stephen Longo (Cherry Hill East, 2026)
Projectable 6-foot-2, 190-pound frame. One of the better catch and throw guys from behind the plate, too. Pop time range of 1.99-2.15, 74 mph arm from behind the plate. Tall setup, fluid swing through the zone with gap to gap pop, up to 92 mph EV.

SS Max Garcia (Old Tappan, 2026)
Currently ranked No. 200 in the state’s 2026 class. Garcia is another INF with some bounce to step in the field. Throws topped at 84 mph across the INF. LHH, table setter, type, crouched setup, line drive hitter. Clean footwork in the field, able to throw from multiple arm slots.
