Northwest Suburban Summer ID: Pitcher Analysis

On Tuesday, July 15th, the Prep Baseball Illinois staff traveled to the Wintrust Field in Schaumburg, Illinois for the Northwest Suburban Summer ID. This open event was host to over 40 players, and it consistently gives our staff a strong look at the talent the area has to offer.

We are finishing up our post-event content with a look at every single pitcher from the day, including a top-5 ranking of who our staff thought showed the best on the day, found below.

Top Pitching Prospects

1. Maddux Miller, Jacobs (IL), 2027
Positional Profile: RHP
Body: 6-2, 175-pounds.
Delivery: Athletic mover, controlled tempo, medium leg-lift into balance point, stride works in-line.
Arm Action: RH. Clean arm action, loose, 3/4 slot with whip out front.
FB: T85, 82-85 mph. Slight arm-side run. T2393, 2237 average rpm.
SL: 66-70 mph. 10/4 shape, feel around the zone. T2298, 2213 average rpm.
CH: 72-74 mph. Thrown with fastball intent, drops below the zone. T1608, 1570 average rpm.
