Top Prospect Games Dallas: Pitcher Analysis
August 26, 2025
On Tuesday, July 8th, the PB Texas staff traveled to Dallas Baptist University in Dallas, TX, to host the Top Prospect Games: Dallas, an invite-only event for the class of 2026-2028.
More than 20 players made their way to DBU and participated in a pro-style workout, gathering unrivaled access to data through our state-of-the-art tech partners, as well as in-depth scouting analysis from our Prep Baseball Texas staff.
We've already posted a Statistical Analysis from the event, highlighting more of the traditional statistical categories, as well as a Takeaways, highlighting some of the events top performers, while also posting Data Dives for both Pitchers and Position Players.
Today, we take a look at the scouting reports on every pitcher in attendance as well as rank the top 5 from the event.
TOP PITCHERS
1. Cameron Ireland, Keller (TX), 2026
Positional Profile: RHP/1B RHS with build to add strength. Will have good build in future. Arm works, will continue to add arm speed in future, avg arm speed now. Delivery can be firmed. Strikes with FB, expect velocity to continue to increase. (Have seen better than seen today). Can see him touching 92-93 next spring. Can pitch up/down with FB. Blended breaking ball, flashes avg action. Inconsistent release point. Split shows down action, avg at times. Good body, arm works, flashes secondary, will continue to improve.
Body: 6-3, 205 pounds. Solid build, width to back and shoulders. Good lower. Will add good strength in future for good pitchers build.
Delivery: Side step rocker with high knee lift, inward turn of hip. Stride leg works down the slope. Lands with hip open past midline, work to get landing leg down the midline. Open hip causes arm to drag and puts stress on shoulder and arm.
Arm Action: RH. Full circle, works well with developing arm speed. HTQ slot, good finish out front.
FB: T86, 85-86 mph. FB shows some arm side tail. Quality FB down in zone with solid plane down. Shows carry up. Strike thrower. Velocity will continue to develop, will throw harder. T2008, 1813 average rpm.
CB: 73-75 mph. CB with 3/4 tilt. Shows solid action when landed. Must firm release point for consistency and success. Showed ability to get swing and miss when landed. T1958, 1805 average rpm.
SL: 74-76 mph. Similar action to CB. T2196, 1936 average rpm.
SPLT: 73-76 mph. Split shows avg action at times, showing depth.
