On Saturday, August 2nd, the PB Texas staff traveled to McLennan CC in Waco, TX to host the Central Texas Uncommitted Games, an event for uncommitted 2026 & 2027 prospects.

Over 40 Players made their way to MCC and participated in a pro-style workout followed by gameplay, gathering unrivaled access to data through our state-of-the-art tech partners, as well as in-depth scouting analysis from our Prep Baseball Texas staff.

Today, we take a look at the scouting reports on every outfielder in attendance as well as rank the top 6 from the event.

TOP OUTFIELDERS

1. Carson Roy, Rock Hill (TX), 2027
Positional Profile: OF/2B RHH/OF with build to add strength in future. Moves well on baseball field. Solid OF taking good routes to baseball. Solid bat/power combo in future. Shows now ability to impact baseball. Adjustments to hit approach will firm. Player with tools and ability to leave yard. Fun player to watch develop.
Body: 5-11, 162.5 pounds. Good build/frame. Width to shoulders and back. Frame supports added strength with growth and maturity. Good physical projections.
Hit: RHH. Solid use of lower in swing, hits into firm front side with good posture. Work to keep stride foot into ground and off heel. Moving to heel creates body falling back, stay into foot. Simple approach, launch from just above shoulder with flat barrel, gets on plane. Bat/hand speed present along with surprising bat strength. 71.3 mph bat speed with 16g of rotational acceleration.
Power: 99 mph max exit velocity (92.7 avg.); 396-foot max batted distance. Solid bat/power combo. Adjustment opportunity to firm hit approach. Swing works with bat/hand speed present. Shows ability to impact baseball, pull approach, can firm using all fields.
Arm: RH. OF - 86 mph. Arm works well. Full circle arm action. Ability to throw on a line with some carry.
Defense: Moves well to ball. Nice actions work through the ball transitioning into throw, utilizing momentum well.
Athletic Testing: 7.00 runner in the 60-yard dash; 31.60-inch max vertical jump. Good runner. Strides well. Arm swing action is good with a good forward tilt with upper body. Well above avg speed.
