Central Illinois Summer ID: Pitcher Analysis

By: Illinois Scouting Staff

On Tuesday, July 8th, the Prep Baseball Illinois staff traveled to the Corn Crib in Normal, Illinois for the Central Illinois Summer ID. This open event was host to nearly 60 players, mostly from the central region of the state, and it consistently gives our staff a strong look at the talent the area has to offer.

We conclude our post-event rollout with a look at every single arm from the day, including a top-5 ranking of who our staff thought had the best bullpens.

An upside southpaw to note from the day is long-levered Nate Kaufmann (St. Thomas More, 2027). Standing in at a wiry 6-foot-4, 172-pounds, he has plenty more room to add strength, and his 80 mph fastball certainly has a chance to make jumps as well.
