Southern Illinois Summer ID: Positional Analysis
August 22, 2025
On Wednesday, July 9th, the Prep Baseball Illinois staff traveled to the John A. Logan in Carterville, Illinois for the Southern Illinois Summer ID. This open event was host to over 20 players, mostly from the southern region of the state, and it consistently gives our staff a strong look at the talent the area has to offer.
INF Ian Crabb (Harrisburg, 2027) is a switch-hitter who just missed the list below. Crabb showed intrigue with his left-handed swing and simple defensive actions while also putting together one of the better bullpens of the day.
