THE TOP 10

The top 10 saw plenty of movement this summer, with several newcomers earning their way into the mix after standout performances across multiple events.

This update also brings a new face back to the top, as RHP Cooper Shrum (Belton; Tennessee) reclaims the No. 1 spot. The 6-foot-6, 185-pound right-hander offers plenty of projection, running his fastball up to 94 mph while flashing a standout changeup. Schrum’s showing on the summer circuit sparked draft buzz, and he still appears to be only scratching the surface of his ceiling.

Fellow Tennessee commit RHP Tyler Putnam (Battle) claims the No. 2 spot in this update, followed by a strong trio of arms: RHP Dylan Curtis (Francis Howell; Missouri) at No. 3, RHP CJ Lake (Oakville) at No. 4, and RHP Cameron Taylor (Kearney) at No. 5. Taylor continues to trend upward, climbing a spot after a dominant summer on the mound where he polished his arsenal and ran his fastball up to 97 mph.

INF Nolan Sissom (Fort Zumwalt West; Missouri) slides into the No. 6 spot in this update, followed by RHP Brody Crane (Neosho; Arkansas) at No. 7.

A newcomer to the top 10 and one of the summer circuit’s biggest risers, RHP Grayden Seuferling (Blue Springs South) breaks in at No. 8. After a standout spring that saw him help lead Blue Springs South to the Class 6 State Championship, Seuferling carried that momentum into the summer and capped it with an impressive showing at the Senior Future Games in Georgia with Team MOKAN. There, he pounded the zone with a lively 93–94 mph fastball and a sharp 79–82 mph slider from a short arm action. His dominant performance propelled him up more than 50 spots in this update and is a must see arm.

Another newcomer to the top 10, LHP Zach Van Hook (St. John Vianney; Missouri) debuts at No. 9, showcasing a low-90s fastball from the left side paired with a sweeping, swing-and-miss slider. Meanwhile, OF GT Taylor (Christian Brothers College; Kansas) rounds out the top 10.

RISERS AND NEWCOMERS

RHP Haverly Cox (Homeschool; Illinois) burst onto the scene in June at the St. Louis Summer ID, showcasing a 94 mph fastball and a high-spin curveball in the upper 70s that eclipsed 3,000 RPM. That performance earned him a spot at the Senior Future Games, where he delivered two electric innings in a standout showing against Team Four Corners. Now an Illinois commit, Cox debuts in our rankings at No. 12.

One of the biggest risers from the spring and summer, INF Troy Fisher (Liberty North; Arkansas) climbs more than 20 spots in this update, landing at No. 18. At 6-foot-5, 184 pounds, Fisher is as projectable as they come. He broke out this spring for the Eagles and carried that momentum into the summer, turning heads with a strong showing at the Central Super Senior Games. Already boasting a 103.5 mph exit velocity that translates in-game, along with a 6.65 60 and a 90 mph infield arm, Fisher offers plenty to dream on as he continues to add strength.

A pair of Southern Missouri bats continue to climb the rankings, as C/INF Hunter Fryman (Marshfield; Davidson) and INF Cole Milliken (Lebanon; Missouri State) each rise more than 20 spots in this update.

Fryman, one of the top catch-and-throw backstops in the region, was among the biggest winners at the Senior Future Games. He showcased a strong feel for the barrel with sneaky pop in game and turned in impressive defensive metrics, posting 1.82–1.86 pop times from the chute. Milliken stood out recently at the Missouri State Games, continuing his upward trend with more polish every time out. The 5-foot-11, 170-pound right-handed hitter profiles as a top-of-the-order bat, showing advanced barrel control at the plate and dependable defense up the middle.

Few players in the state have elevated their stock over the past year quite like INF/OF Logan Sutton (Liberty). After a spring in which he hit .409 with 18 extra-base hits and 42 RBIs en route to Suburban Red Conference Player of the Year honors, Sutton carried that momentum into the summer. He impressed at both the Missouri State Games and the Senior Future Games, where he hit .500 with three extra-base hits across three games for Team MOKAN. A high-level multi-sport athlete with triple-digit exit velocities and 6.65 speed, Sutton stands out as one of the top uncommitted names in Missouri.

Two St. Louis-area outfielders—Jacob Noland (Kirkwood) and Chase Roeder (Lafayette)—climb the rankings following strong performances at the Central Super Senior Games and Super Senior Games, respectively. Meanwhile, a pair of Central Missouri infielders—Charlie Morgan (Warrensburg; Central Missouri) and Luke Throgmorton (Lone Jack; State Fair CC)—see massive jumps, with Morgan rising more than 50 spots and Throgmorton soaring over 150 spots in this update.

One of the first newcomers to the rankings comes in at No. 107: LHP Cade Gustafson (Eureka; Missouri Southern). The 5-foot-11, 165-pound left-hander impressed at the Missouri State Games earlier this summer, working a low-80s fastball from a 3/4 arm slot that proved difficult for hitters while showing plenty of room for growth.

A trio of US Nationals arms break into the rankings after standout performances earlier this summer at the US Nationals & Affiliates Scout Day at Mizzou’s Taylor Stadium. RHP Anthony Velazquez (Lee’s Summit) enters at No. 86 after reaching 91 mph on the mound across several looks this summer. Joining him are teammates LHP Bryce Meyer (Grain Valley) at No. 90 and RHP Bryce Williams (Lee’s Summit) at No. 110, who both feature fastballs in the upper 80s as part of a strong four-pitch mix.

One of the biggest risers in this update, LHP Wyatt Taylor (Blue Springs South, 2026) jumps 158 spots after playing a key role in the Jaguars’ Class 6 State Title run and continuing to show gains in velocity throughout the summer circuit. He ran his fastball up to 87.5 mph while flashing a slider/curveball mix that consistently generated swings and misses, capping off his summer with a strong showing at the Central Super Senior Games. He comes in at No. 140

C/RHP Landon Montgomery (West Plains) makes his debut in the rankings following a strong showing at this summer’s Midwest Mavericks Scout Day. The 6-foot, 165-pound athlete posted 1.90–1.96 pop times with an 82 mph arm from behind the plate, while also touching 84 mph on the mound, with reports suggesting even higher velocity in game action. Montgomery enters this update at No. 144.

His teammate, C/INF Adam Brown (Diamond), also debuts in the rankings at No. 195 after a well-rounded performance at the same event.

Several other names made notable moves in this update, including OF TJ Boston (Lee’s Summit; Drury), C Mason Williams (Webb City; Missouri Southern), OF Chase Cradick (Francis Howell), C Xavier Ritchie (Rockhurst; Missouri S&T), OF Drew DeMint (Mexico), OF Cooper Scott (Hannibal; UMSL), INF Maveric Cure (St. Michael the Archangel), and INF Brady Rosenburg (Orchard Farm).

Additionally, a new wave of talent debuts in the rankings, with RHP Samuel Smith (St. John Vianney), C Jace Cooper (Battle), C Austin Blum (Plaza Heights Christian), OF Ryan Shipley (Fort Zumwalt North), OF Augie Hutchison (Lindbergh), RHP Caden Brocato (Washington), and C Alex Arthaud (Hannibal) each earning their first spot on the list, all inside the top 250.
