The Scoop: Grand Park Power 26
August 13, 2025
Some of the top players from the Midwest and beyond visit Grand Park at least once on the summer circuit and line up toe-to-toe with the strong contigent of programs based within the borders of Indiana. To shine a light on this talent - a list of twenty-six of my favorite prospects from the 2026 class, listed in power rankings-style order of impact, that came through Grand Park this summer over the course of a handful of Bullpen and Prep Baseball Tournaments.
+ C/CF Sean Dunlap (IN)
Strong weekend look at the Tennessee commit and Prep Baseball All-American at the 17u ABC. Physical 6-foot-3 athlete with an impact right-handed bat, going 3-for-3 with a pair of doubles in this game and 4-for-his-last-5 with three XBH on the weekend. Explosive bat speed and intent to punish baseballs, yet shows the ability to adjust on spin, a developing trait. Plus raw power plays to all fields and pairs with rare speed for the position (6.69 runner). Advanced offensive profile with the athleticism and arm talent to stick behind the plate, while also possessing the speed and range to project as a legitimate option in center field. There is some polishing to be done in order to reach the Day 1 ceiling, but the natural athleticism - and legitamite toolset that derives from it, set the stage for a young-for-class, late-blooming, aggressive athlete to continue to make strides.

Physical, imposing 6-foot-1, 223-pound frame built for impact. Louisville recruit. Controlled drift into launch with a connected move through the zone, producing present plus raw power that shows up both in BP and in-game. Exit velocities can reach 110+ mph in BP, with multiple extra-base hits in-game including a pair of loud XBH in this look. Leverages his strength well with a compact, efficient path, allowing the ball to jump off the barrel to all fields. One of the premier power bats in the 2026 prep class.

Lean, athletic 6-foot-1, 185-pound frame with present strength and twitch. Wake Forest recruit. Shows an adjustable, athletic stride with quick-twitch actions that allow the barrel to jump on time, producing quality contact to all fields. Aggressive nature in the box with the ability to impact the baseball when synced. Best-sequenced hacks flash real electricity. Some ability to flick and manipulate when off time within the timing window of his bigger forward move. Showed some drift/timing issues at 17ABC. Real athlete whose speed, range, and body control translate well up the middle, giving him reliability defensively whether at shortstop or in center field. High-energy competitor. Dynamic.

Tennessee recruit with a lean, athletic 6-foot-2 frame and a two-pitch combination that played well together in this look. Works with up-tempo pace and unwavering confidence, filling the zone with the athletic look of a future starter. Fastball sat 90-93 here and higher later in the summer (T 96), showing the ability to control multiple quadrants with occasional arm side life as well. Slider at 79-80 mph spins into the 2900s with tight, late break, projecting as a true plus offering and a consistent bat-misser. Has an abv avg to better change in the bag but didn't see it here. Polished strike-thrower. Winner.

+ SS Dylan Bowen (IN)
Highly-athletic 5-foot-11, 185-pound frame with quick-twitch actions and a 6.6 runner whose speed plays in-game thanks to an aggressive nature. Short takeaway and matching stride lead to a handsy, accurate stroke with raw power beginning to sneak through at times. He lulled offensively in the looks I got on him this summer at the NPI/MPL, but my takeaway was the opposite leaving the spring - a natural eb-and-flow. Regardless, the athlete and aptitude brings the value here and Bowen has showed those traits at GP since his days on the backfield 14u diamonds. Light on his feet defensively, Bowen shows the range to cover ground in the middle of the field and an above-average arm that profiles well in the middle. *Video below from The Rock 7/4/25*

Kentucky commit with a strong, athletic 6-foot-2, 200-pound frame built for impact. Quiet eyes during a repeatable leg lift set the stage for compact explosiveness as the hands deliver the swing with twitch at go and impressive length in the zone. While there was some swing-and-miss through the summer circuit, he still flashed the high-end hit tool shown relentlessly in 2024. Power-athlete profile with the speed and strength combination to impact the game in multiple ways, and the tools to stick in center field long term.

While watching another prospect on the same field, the Florida State commit stood out immediately among his peers. Projectable 6-foot-3, 185-pound frame with a loose, upward stroke that produces quick bat speed and gap-to-gap carry; hit for extra-bases in multiple trips in this look. High-end athlete, running a 6.47 60, with the arm strength to reach 94 mph on the mound. The tooled-out offensive profiles leaves two-way intrigue on the table as he is also armed with one of the firmest heaters in the Midwest for 2026.

+ RHP Michael “Mikee” Teasley (TN)
Compact, strong 5-foot-10, 175-pound frame with explosive athleticism and a high-intensity presence on the mound. Tennessee recruit. First look showed an aggressive move down the slope with intent, working 91-94 mph on a lively fastball that featured arm-side sink and came out of the hand hot. Returned with another dominant showing, sitting 90-93 mph (T94) with effectively wild control to create an uncomfortable look for hitters. Slider is a true weapon that shined in both looks — 77-79 mph, spinning into the 3000s (T3152 rpm) with late, sharp sweep that generates consistent whiffs and merits plus grades. Also shows a firm 85 mph changeup to round out the arsenal.

Strong, durable 6-foot-2, 200-pound Michigan recruit who competes with an edge and attacks with a full arsenal. The fastball jumped at 88-91 mph, touching 92, spinning into the 2500s with the ability to show both cut and ride for a dynamic look up in the zone. A high-arching, sharp 76-79 mph curveball spun above 2500 rpm provided a true two-plane offering that froze hitters, while the 79-80 mph slider swept late across the zone for whiffs. Mixed a fading 78 mph changeup to LHH mostly. Comfortable landing all four pitches. Competitive presence amplifies a quality repertoire.

Wiry, athletic 6-foot-3, 180-pound frame with plenty of physical projection. Kentucky commit. Came out of the bullpen with intent in this look, working 89-91 mph and touching 92 twice on a fastball that played with late cut from an over-the-top slot. Mixed in sharp spin, flashing a 78 mph curveball with bite, while primarily leaning on an 82-83 mph sweeping slider that tunnels well off the heater. Also showed an occasional 85-86 mph cutter and an 82 mph changeup to round out a deep arsenal. Competitive edge is evident on the mound, attacking hitters with tempo and presence. The athletic frame, pitch mix, and current velocity point to a spring helium candidate with starter’s potential down the line.

High-waisted 6-foot-3, 195-pound frame with a younger look and ample room to add strength. Loose, easy arm stroke with clean lines through the delivery, allowing the ball to jump out of the hand. Starter’s traits are evident, and the projection is considerable. Fastball sat 87-90 mph with spin in the 2500s, showing occasional cut and ride to both miss bats and challenge hitters at the top of the zone. Was firmer later in the summer (T92). Slider at 73-75 mph flashed depth and tilt, projecting as a quality secondary with continued refinement. Firm 82-83 mph changeup stood out for its advanced feel to both sides of the plate, giving him a reliable third pitch. High-level arm talent with premier projection in a long, athletic 6-foot-3 frame. Uncommitted. Fastball worked upper-80s to low-90s for strikes, while he reached back for 93-95 when needed, especially late in counts. Slider at 76-79 mph spun into the 2300s with developing shape and the potential to miss bats as it sharpens. Loose arm stroke and easy operation hint at even more velocity gains ahead. Frame and arm talent alone bring intrigue next spring, even though he remains uncommitted.

+ LHP Beckett Doane (IN)
Mississippi State recruit with a towering 6-foot-6 frame. Works aggressively with the fastball at 88-90 mph, touching 91s and 92s, showing heavy arm-side run and shotgun spray to create tough angles on hitters. Relied primarily on the heater in this look, mixing an 83-84 mph changeup with similar fade and a 77-79 mph slider spinning into the 2400s that flashed above average but was inconsistent in total. Length and leverage allow the ball to play up, and added polish to the secondary mix could elevate his already high-ceiling profile.

Recent Duke commit with one of the more polished and aesthetically pleasing swings on the list. Load flows seamlessly into launch with a tight turn and the ability to cover the whole plate. Well-paced moves and easy-effort bat speed produce consistent loud contact, including a 97 mph rocket back through the box and a 95 mph single through the 6-hole to takeaway from my follow from the MPL and 17ABC. Quiet, confident presence with barrel accuracy that shows up each time out. I think he can hit at a high level with compact explosiveness shining in the short-levered, efficient swing and he can burn into the 6.5s too.
