QUICK HITTERS - PITCHERS(Alphabetically)

Brian Ebeling 3B / RHP / Philip Simmons, SC / 2028

Confident presence on the mound with a clean, repeatable delivery and feel for his mechanics. Shows the ability to command the zone and compete with poise. The fastball sat 77–81 mph with some late life, working well to both sides of the plate. Slider flashes swing-and-miss potential, working 73–77 mph with good shape and depth.

A strike-thrower who competes and stays composed under pressure. Projection remains as strength and velocity continue to develop. A solid foundation with room to climb.

Beau Hite SS / RHP / Emerald High, SC / 2028

Good athlete with a long arm action from a low ¾ slot, creating tough angles for hitters. The fastball worked 84–86, T87 with late life and competitive intent in the zone. Slider (74–77 mph) showed tight shape with feel to land and expand. Also flashed a changeup at 79–80 mph, showing occasional fade and separation.

Attacked hitters with confidence, consistently going right at them. Loose arm with more velocity to come as the frame continues to mature. Intriguing upside with a strong pitch foundation.

Everest King RHP / Legion Collegiate Academy, SC / 2028

Athletic right-hander with quick arm speed and a clean operation. Fastball sat 88–90, T91 with life through the zone and late finish. Slider (76–78 mph) spun at a high clip (2600 rpm), showing sharp, late break with swing-and-miss potential. Also mixed in a splitter at 76 mph, offering effective speed difference and occasional depth.

More velocity is likely on the way as he continues to mature physically. High-upside arm with the tools to make significant jumps.

McClain Knight LHP / OF / A.C. Flora, SC / 2028

Lanky frame with plenty of room to add strength. Showed a good feel for spin, generating several swing-and-miss results with a breaking ball (68–71 mph), particularly effective vs LHH. Fastball sat 79–81, T82, with occasional arm-side run.

Projectable left-hander with pitchability and upside. A name to follow as strength and velocity continue to develop.

Braden Lawton SS / OF / Spring Valley, SC / 2028

Good athletic arm speed with repeatable mechanics. Shows a clean operation and stays around the zone. Fastball sits 83–85, T86–87, with more velocity likely as he adds strength and continues refining direction. Slider (74–77 mph) shows flashes with late action and potential as a swing-and-miss offering.

Upside arm with a lot to like in the delivery and projection.

Trace Mathews RHP / 1B / Legion Collegiate Academy, SC / 2028

Shows good command of a three-pitch mix when in rhythm. Fastball sits 83–86 mph with occasional life. Changeup (76–78 mph) tunnels well off the FB and generates swing-and-miss when executed and shows to the ability to be a plus pitch. Slider (74–75 mph) has shape and can develop into a quality secondary.

Solid projection with pitchability and a good feel for sequencing. A definite name to follow.

Brady Quirk RHP / SS / Fort Dorchester, SC / 2028

Raw arm talent with explosive potential. Still developing consistency in the delivery, but shows easy arm speed and natural athleticism. Fastball mix includes a 4-seam at 83–85 mph with life and a 2-seam at 80–82 mph with some arm-side run. Curveball (73–75 mph) flashes depth and shape.

Big ceiling as strength and command continue to come. High-upside arm to monitor closely.

Riggs Scott SS / RHP / AC Flora, SC / 2028

Good athlete with feel for a complete 4-pitch mix. Moves the ball effectively in and out, competing in the zone and limiting hard contact. Fastball sits 78–80 mph, complemented by a high-spin curveball (66–70, 2500+ rpm) that flashes bite. Cutter (73–76) shows late action, and changeup (70–71) is thrown with intent and feel.

More arm strength to come—projects well with continued development.

Asher Turner RHP / 1B / Travelers Rest High, SC / 2028

Big, tall frame with projection remaining. Shows ability to control the fastball with multiple shapes, working effectively in and around the zone. Fastball (80–82) plays true, while the sinker (76–78) adds a different look with arm-side action. Slider (71–74) is still developing but flashes shape, and the changeup (72) is thrown with feel.

Solid foundation with upside as strength and velocity continue to come.

Jones Wilhite 1B / RHP / Aiken, SC / 2028

Maintains slot well, creating deception that makes the FB/SL tough to pick up. Generates swing-and-miss with a solid two-pitch mix and flashes a developing splitter. Fastball sits 79–82 with late life, while the slider (74–75) shows tight shape and feel. The splitter (71–72) adds depth and change of pace.

Solid extension with room to add strength, and the velocity should continue to climb. Definite follow as he refines mechanics and adds physicality.
