North Austin Summer ID: Quick Hits

On Wednesday, July 2nd, the PB Texas staff traveled to Legacy Ranch High School in Liberty Hill, TX, to host the North Austin Summer ID, an open event for all high school classes.
Players made their way to Legacy Ranch and participated in a pro-style workout, gathering unrivaled access to data through our state-of-the-art tech partners, as well as in-depth scouting analysis from our Prep Baseball Texas staff.

Today, we will be looking at the top performers from the day.
QUICK HITS
Cooper Camacho | SS/2B | Cedar Park (2028)
Camacho impressed with a well-rounded skill set and mature presence at the plate. The LHH posted a peak exit velocity of 96.3 mph and averaged 88.6 mph off the bat, showing feel for the barrel and consistent hard contact. He launched balls up to 342 feet with a line-drive approach and showed quick hands (20.4 max hand speed) paired with solid bat speed (67.2 max). A 7.09 runner, Camacho also flashed athleticism and feel for the middle infield. With his ability to impact the baseball and play a premium position, Camacho is a name to know in the 28 class.
Wyatt Duke | OF/RHP | Calallen (2027)
Duke put together one of the louder rounds of BP at the North Austin Summer ID, showcasing big bat speed (71.6 max) and elite rotational acceleration (26.4 max). He posted a top exit velocity of 100.8 mph and drove balls out to 381 feet, routinely finding the barrel with authority (78% hard-hit rate). The LHH also showed arm strength from the outfield, reaching 86 mph, and ran a 7.18 60 with quick bursts out of the gate (1.67 10-yd). With real power from the left side and tools that play across the board, Duke is a high-upside follow in the 2027 class.
Ryder Sommer | C/3B | Troy (2027)
Sommer showed well behind the plate and at the dish, flashing a balanced skill set with some physicality. He recorded a top exit velocity of 95.9 mph and sent balls out to 355 feet during BP, showing strength through contact with a consistent swing. He ran a 7.08 60 and showed quickness out of the crouch with pop times ranging from 1.97–2.06 and a top catcher velo of 78 mph. He also showed versatility in the INF with solid actions. With his catch-and-throw ability and strength at the plate, Sommer had a good overall day in Liberty Hill.
Maxwell Satterwhite | 1B/RHP | McCallum (2026)
Satterwhite put on a show during BP, showcasing a strong, physical frame and real juice at the plate. The right-handed hitter posted a peak exit velocity of 99.9 mph and drove balls out to 380 feet, averaging nearly 90 mph off the bat. He creates leverage with above-average bat speed (72.2 max) and consistently finds the barrel. A 7.07 runner, Satterwhite moves well for his size and showed athleticism throughout his testing. With his raw power and physical tools, he projects well as he continues to develop.
Canon Fitts | 1B/RHP | Liberty Hill (2029)
Fitts is an imposing presence with intriguing two-way upside in the 2029 class. At the plate, the LHH showed bat strength and the ability to drive the baseball, topping out at 93.8 mph exit velocity. He uses his strong lower half well and posted a max bat speed of 68.1 mph. On the mound, Fitts worked up to 84.4 mph with his fastball, mixing in a changeup in the mid-70s and a developing slider with spin in the low 2000s. With his physicality, arm strength, and power potential, Fitts is a young name to watch closely as he continues to refine his game.
Jordan Owens | SS/OF | Glenn (2029)
Owens showed advanced tools for a rising freshman, standing out with his athleticism and ability to impact the baseball. The right-handed hitter posted a peak exit velocity of 93.4 mph and drove balls up to 338 feet, flashing consistent barrel feel with a 79% sweet spot rate. He also ran a 6.95 60, one of the top times at the event, and showed arm strength across the diamond at 83 mph. Owens plays with energy and confidence, and as he continues to add strength, his all-around game should take another leap. Definitely a 2029 name to know.
Cruz LaGrange | C/RHP | Liberty Hill (2030)
LaGrange was one of the youngest players in attendance, but he showed poise and ability well beyond his age. The 2030 catcher showed catch-and-throw skill with pop times ranging from 2.01–2.08 and a 73 mph catcher velo. At the plate, he flashed a smooth right-handed swing with some hard contact. On the mound, he sat in the mid to upper 70s and topped at 78 mph, spinning both his fastball and curveball over 2,000 rpm. With a strong foundation on both sides of the ball and room to grow physically.
