The 2025 Future Games took place on July 23-26 at LakePoint Sports in Cartersville, GA. The event featured the top uncommitted players from the 2027 class participating in a pro-style workout, followed by three games with over 400 college coaches in attendance.

Today, we will take a look at some of the winners from workout day, as well as highlights from all three Team Florida & Team Southeast games played at the Future Games.

Workout Winners

Jake Carruthers OF / 3B / St Thomas Aquinas High School, FL / 2027

Carruthers was a big winner during workout day, running a 6.46 60-yard dash, leading all Florida players. He also had one of the top exit velos during BP, maxing out at 104.9 mph. He also showed big bat speed, averaging 75.6 mph, and a big arm at 89 mph from the OF.

Jake Cueto OF / Belen Jesuit Prep, FL / 2027

Cueto had a strong showing during the Future Games Workout. Ran a 6.58 60. Moved well athletically in the OF with an above-average arm at 91 mph. He had the third-highest average bat speed among Florida players at 77.5 mph and led Florida players in the vertical jump with a 29.4-inch vertical. 

Tavis Honeycutt 3B / 1B / Newberry, FL / 2027

Honeycutt's raw strength was on display at the Future Games workout. Had one of the best grip strengths at the entire event, 206 R, 202 L. In BP, he led all Florida players in exit velo topping 105.2 mph. Honeycutt also led in average bat speed at 81.3 mph.

Jameson Moan C / Northside Christian, FL / 2027

Moan impressed behind the plate all week at the Future Games, but on workout day, he raised some eyebrows. Moan had one of the best pop times at the event with a 1.76 pop time to second. He went on to throw out multiple runners in-game with sub-2.00 pops. In BP, his exit velo got up to 97.6 mph.

Jace Moran C / SS / Suwannee, FL / 2027

Moran was one of the best players at the entire Future Games and started the week with a strong workout day. 6.87 60, 100.5 max exit velo, and 71.1 average bat speed. Defensively, showcased a big arm behind the plate up to 83 with a 1.90 pop time.

Daniel Padilla OF / 1B / TNXL Academy, FL / 2027

Padilla really impressed during the Future Games workout. At 6'5" 220 lbs, Padilla ran a 6.67 60-yard dash. The left-handed hitter was launching balls in BP up to 105 mph, second among all Florida players. He finished 4th in average bat speed at 75.8 mph and showcased an above-average arm in the OF.

Jett Walters OF / RHP / Berkeley Prep, FL / 2027

Walters impressed athletically throughout the Future Games. 6.64 runner and led all Florida players in OF velo up to 92 mph. Walters launched balls in BP, with one hitting the scoreboard, and had an EV of 102.7 mph. 

Game Highlights

Florida Game 1

Team Florida knocked off Team Georgia in Game 1 of the Future Games. RHP Logan Bristol got the start for Florida, throwing two scoreless innings with five strikeouts. He ran his fastball up to 93 mph.

RHP Tristan Macpherson came in next for Florida for innings three and four. He also struck out five in two shutout innings while battling around some baserunners. Macpherson was also up to 93 on the mound.

Team Florida's offense didn't get going until the sixth inning when Jace Moran doubled off the left field wall, nearly missing a home run. After a Jett Walters single, Braylon Sheffield came up with the bases loaded and launched a no-doubt grand slam to put Florida on top.

RHPs Alex Wise and Daylen Linton finished off the last four innings for Florida. Wise allowed one run with three strikeouts in his two innings while up to 92 with the fastball. Linton allowed four runs with three strikeouts while up to 89.

Nathaniel Sabino capped off the runs for Team Florida with an RBI double off the wall in the 8th.

Southeast Game 1

Team Southeast defeated North Carolina 8-0 in their first game at the Future Games. Angelo Geraldo got things going in the 6th with a single and would later score.

RHP Jace Riggan came on in relief for the fifth and sixth innings. He was up to 92 mph and threw two shutout innings while striking out three.

Julian Rodriguez singled in the 8th to drive in a run. Geraldo collected his second hit of the game with another single, driving in Rodriguez. Two hits and a walk for Geraldo in Game 1.

Florida Game 2

Florida took on Alabama in Game 2 of the Future Games, where they defeated Alabama 8-4. RHP Ryder Simon started for Florida, where he went two shutout innings up to 91 with his fastball. RHP Noah Adkins came in next for Team Florida for two innings, where he allowed two runs with two strikeouts and up to 89 with his fastball.

In the third, Tavis Honeycutt drove a double and scored on a Nathaniel Sabino RBI single. CJ Wall doubled later in the inning, driving in two runs.

RHP Christian Lynch was the next arm for Team Florida. Up to 92 with his fastball in two shutout innings, allowing just one baserunner. LHP Gavin Ruvalcaba closed out the last two innings. Up to 90 from the left side, allowing two runs with one strikeout.

Preston Cole doubled to lead off the fifth and later scored.

In the sixth, Nathaniel Sabino launched a two-run homer. Jace Moran doubled and Lucas Farrar drove in a run on a single.

Southeast Game 2

Team Southeast took on South Carolina in Game 2 of the Future Games and lost 4-2. LHP Evan Dyett got the start for Southeast. He ran his fastball up to 89 from the left side but allowed three runs in two innings.

In the third, following a Jace Riggan walk, Vaughn Howard drove a double the other way to score Riggan.

RHP Brycen Payne threw innings five and six for Team Southeast. He allowed just one baserunner in two shutout innings up to 90 with his fastball.

Florida Game 3

Florida defeated Tennessee in their last game of the 2025 Future Games. RHP Isaac Vidal got the start for Florida and ran his fastball up to 94. He had two strikeouts in two shutout innings.

Team Florida got on the board early in the first when Lucas Farrar drove in two with a double.

Bryce Besece doubled to lead off the third for Florida and would later score. Blayden Caballero drove in two with a single to extend Florida's lead.

RHP Hunter Wieckowski was next to pitch and threw two shutout innings up to 92 with his fastball. LHP Anthony Iatarola came in after for two more innings, allowing just one run with two strikeouts, and was up to 90.

Gavin Ruvalcaba tripled in the 6th but was left stranded at third. In the seventh, Tavis Honeycutt led off with a double and Jake Cueto followed with a single.

RHPs Jett Walters and Lucas Farrar closed out the last two innings for Florida as they defeated Tennessee 6-2.

Southeast Game 3

Southeast defeated Team Select in Game 3 by a score of 7-3. A Brody Baxmann single followed by a Jace Riggan RBI double got things started for Team Southeast.

RHP Colton Hyde was first in relief for the Southeast, throwing innings three and four. He was up to 90 while striking out three in two shutout innings.

RHP Zachary Tavarez threw next and was up to 92 with his fastball. He struck out three and gave up two runs in two innings.

Julian Rodriguez and Jameson Moan both singled in the fourth and later scored.

Vaughn Howard doubled in a run in the sixth.
