August 15, 2025
The summer has come to a close, and the Prep Baseball Hawaii staff has wrapped up both the Hawaii State Games and the 2025 Future Games, showcasing talent from all across the state.
With the summer schedule in the books, our staff will be reflecting on summer standouts with our Uncommitted Spotlight Series—a closer look at the players who stood out at our events. Updated stats, data, and video have been added to player profiles, giving these prospects another boost in getting their game seen by college coaches.
’27 Chase Thompson made a statement at the 2025 Future Games, lighting up his BP round with a max exit velocity of 102.0 mph, an average of 95.6 mph, and multiple balls leaving the yard. The BLAST Motion data backed it up, showing a max bat speed of 79.3 mph and hand speed of 25.9 mph. He carried that juice into the outfield, where he showed a clean 87 mph arm, and turned in a 7.09 in the 60-yard dash. Following the Workout Day, Thompson stayed hot in gameplay, making several good swings in the 3 games, including a missile for a pull-side home run.
This article will take a closer look at some of Chase's recent metrics, scouting reports, and videos from previous events, including the 2025 Future Games.

Scouting Report
Prep Baseball Hawaii’s #2 ranked 2027 added muscle and already surpassed most 2025’s physically. The University of Hawaii commit had arguably the best two rounds of BP at Hawaii Fall Showcase hitting ‘um as far as 18-year-olds making a crowd of 24 MLB scouts scramble for their roster to make sure they know his name. One of the more advanced bats in Hawaii at 15 years old, Thompson projects as a power-hitting plus-impact offensively corner guy. Arm has improved to a point where he could end up a value in RF and 1B where he makes it look easy now. Makeup is off-the-scale and the 2027 premium bat LHH RF/1B is on track to develop into one of the high school best bats to come out of Hawaii in years.
