Today, we take a closer look at some of the top pitching performances from the event. ⤵️

Aiden Moore, RHP, Hillgrove
Moore burst onto the scene last summer and carried it over into an impressive junior campaign with Hillgrove. The stock continued to rise for the RHP as he put together a strong showing at Senior Games. Standing an athletic 6-foot-0, 185-pounds with present strength in the lower half, Moore shows repeatability in the delivery with real arm speed from a shorter, compact arm action. Generated whiffs at will on the fastball that sat 85-87 (T88 MPH) with carry through the zone. Curveball created good depth at 74-78 and played well off of the fastball. Moore’s stock continues to rise as he remains one of the most intriguing uncommitted arms in the state.

Kurtis Maher, LHP, Denmark
The pitchability was on full display for the Southpaw across a dominant two innings of work. Lean and wiry at 5-foot-11, 146-pounds with a quick arm there is much more to come physically. Maher, an athletic mover, shows advanced feel for all three of his pitches and mixes well with the ability to work all quadrants of the plate with ease. As he induced a ton of soft contact as well as whiffs. Fastball lived 80-81 (T82 MPH) with above-average command. Curveball played extremely well off of the fastball out of the same tunnel at 70-73 with 12/6 depth. Changeup was used sparingly at 75-76. Maher looks poised to build on an impressive spring with the Danes and will be a good addition for any recruiting class.

Gabe Hester, RHP, Mount Paran
Coming off an outstanding summer the senior RHP would continue to look the part at Senior Games. Strength is present throughout the physical, athletic 6-foot-1, 195-pound frame. Hester shows a smooth, repeatable delivery with real arm speed and fills up the zone with feel for all 3 pitches. Fastball shows easy life out of the hand at 87-88 (T89 MPH). Slider creates some sweep at 79-81. Changeup is a potential future advanced offering with feel to land R/R at 81-82 with tumble.

Halen Bennett, RHP, North Cobb Christian
It was an impressive look at the RHP in a strong two-innings of work. Easy to see projection throughout the lean, high-waisted 6-foot-2, 165-pound frame. Bennett, an athletic mover, creates good extension down the mound followed by a quick arm. Fastball sat 83-86 (T87MPH) and slider tunneled well off the fastball with good depth at 72-75. Changeup was worked in at 74-75. Bennett looks poised for a big role in the spring with much more to project upon physically.

Sebastien Walsh, LHP, Denmark
The ‘24 Future Games alum continues to string quality outings together in each look. A physically imposing presence on the bump and a quality mover at 6-foot-4, 207-pounds. Walsh gets down the mound well and creates good extension with feel for his pitches from a longer arm action when in the zone. Attacks with the fastball at 83-84 (T85) and sliders tunnels well off of it at 75-77 with some tilt. Curveball shows tighter break with depth at 76-78. Changeup was used sparingly at 81. Projection remaining throughout the frame/profile for one of the top uncommitted LHP still on the market in the state.

Davis Gurski, RHP, Harrison
Setting the tone early and often with 5 K over 2.0 while showing a strong three-pitch mix, Gurski shows the signs of a high-floor, projection RHP. Lean 6-foot-2, 163-pounds with a high waist and plenty of room to add good weight. Easy extension while repeating a lower, three-quarters slot well. Fastball lived in the mid-80s with feel to land on the other half to both sides of the plate. Slider was the go-to out pitch on the day, showing late sweep at 72-76 while showing feel to land wherever he wanted. Changeup plays off the fastball well at 72-77 with some fade to miss barrels and has the makings to be a quality third offering. The trio of Colin White, Jack Johnson, Gurski gives the Hoyas a plethora of starting talent heading into the spring.

Kolby Clark, RHP, West Laurens
An easy mover at 6-foot-3, 166-pounds, Clark shows good extension down the mound while working from a higher three-quarters slot. FB/CB combo kept hitters off balance throughout his outing, mixing both at will for called strikes and whiffs. Fastball sat 81-83 with good arm-side run and present command to land anywhere he wanted in-zone. Curveball sat 64-68 with quality depth and late bite from a near 12/6 shape. There’s a chance for more velocity as he continues to get stronger, and will be a valuable arm for West Laurens this upcoming spring.

Jonas Wigley, RHP, Bowdon
Wigley heads into his spring season as one of the main dudes for Bowdon and opens this spring with a standout performance this past weekend. Lean, wiry 5-foot-9, 145-pounds with plenty of room to add strength as he matures. Repeats well from a drop-and-drive delivery with a three-quarters slot and hiding the ball well to create a ton of deception. Fastball is heavy out of the hand with sink and run at 81-84 and filling out the inner half against LHH. Excellent command of a tighter curveball at 70-72 with 11/5 shape that he holds well and landed to the top of the zone at will for called strikes. Changeup rounds out the well in the low-70s with some tumble. It’s the above-average feel for the full mix and ability competes on the mound with confidence that gives Wigley a real chance to further breakout and find somewhere to pitch early at the next level.

Renard Stricklin Jr., RHP, Westlake
Stricklin Jr. posted the top velo of the day at 88-90 and had a strong outing to back it up. Besides the fastball he flashed a right on righ change up that had really good action. He has cleaned up the delivery and is really starting to put it all together. There is feel for the breaking ball with room to improve, but with the strong, 6-foot frame the sky is the limit for Stricklin.

Jake Perry, RHP, Troup County
Perry was a guy that really stood out in the state championship series against Cherokee Bluff. It was more of the same at the Georgia Senior Games. He was 86-88 with a loose athletic arm slot. The moves really well and fills up the zone. He made quick work of his inning of work, since he was a 2 way player at the event. Perry is the type of player that can contribute at the next level in many different ways. He would be a perfect arm to jump into a bullpen and make an impact right away and has the starter profile to get in the mix if needed.

Jack Powell, RHP, Denmark
Powell has been the model of consitency over the last 2-3 years. He continues to develop the frame with more strength to be added. He has probably been one of the higher volume arms in innings production over the last year between high school ball and summer. He was a swiss army knife for Denmark, playing every role. The pitch ability continues to standout and even after a long summer we saw him 85-87 with the strong curveball and change up to pair with it. Powell is a player that will only continue to get better and still isn't near his peak.

Chase Anarumo, RHP, Holy Innocents
Anarumo kicked things off with game play, filling up the zone per usual. The fastball was low to mid 80's with an effortless action. He has a curveball and change up to pair with it. He has performed well over the last couple of years and is only going to get better.

Noah Parsons, RHP, Archer
This was the 1st look at Parsons in a while and he really impressed. He moves really well down the mound and has a fastball that was really getting on hitters. He filled up the zone on both sides of the plate and landed the off speed for strikes. There is easy feel for the curveball with good spin and late break that was sneaking up on hitters.
