On Tuesday, June 17th, the Prep Baseball Illinois staff made the trip down to Dozer Park in Peoria, Illinois for the Peoria Summer ID. Though one of the smaller events we hosted, it proved to be packed with talent, as shown with the top overall prospects below.

SS Garret Matznick (Newman Central Catholic, 2026) is an athletic glove to note from the day. On the dirt, he showed clean actions with sure-handed actions and the ability to play on the move. He also took a quality round of BP with a middle of the field approach while working on the barrel.

Defense: Agile, showed off range, soft hands to receive, fields with confidence.
