As always, our evaluation process is fluid and ongoing, built on multiple viewings and discussions to get the most accurate feel for each player’s abilities. It’s worth noting that while some players show rapid improvement, this doesn’t suggest that others have regressed—player development is simply a journey with peaks and valleys. As the season unfolds, new names will continue to surface, expanding the universe of top prospects in Nevada. In addition to our player evaluations, our scouts—both in-state and nationally—have been in constant dialogue, comparing notes and making adjustments based on the latest insights to ensure the rankings are as up-to-date and accurate as possible.

Terrell Otis 3B / C / Centennial, NV / 2028Rankings StateRank: 2 / POS: 1
The physical, Swiss Army Knife type player has shown his ability to find loud barrels time and time again, settling in quickly to the varsity level this past Spring as he quickly became a staple in the heart of the Centennial order. Showing his versatility in the infield at both 3B and 1B, he understands how to use his physicality at the plate with feel for the big part of the yard. Keep an eye on Otis to make a big jump over these next few months and carry that into a big Spring campaign. |

Austin Rodriguez RHP / 2B / Liberty, NV / 2028Rankings StateRank: 3 / POS: 1
The two-way had his breakout Spring during his freshman campaign with adnvaced actions on both sides of the ball that we expect to only continue trending over the next few months. The smooth stroke from the left side is a line drive producer that we expect to be an anchor in the heart of the order for Liberty this coming Spring and do not be surprised if his number gets called out toe the rubber in big games for the Patriots. |

Derek Wenzel RHP / OF / Basic Academy, NV / 2028Rankings StateRank: 4 / POS: 2
After having got sit out this past Spring, it looked like Wenzel stepped right into his Summer season with very little time needed to get his game back up to speed. Wenzel makes his way up into the #4 spot after shining on the mound in multiple events around the country and you could expect him to take an immediate impact role for the Wolves come Spring. |

Bryson Lee OF / SS / Basic, NV / 2028Rankings StateRank: 5 / POS: 1
Coming in at the #5 spot is, Bryson Lee, who has had his breakout Summer at the plate. His game is already beginning to take shape with present feel for the barrel, as well as flashes of advanced actions in the middle infield. Connor McDonald RHP / Palo Verde, NV / 2028Rankings StateRank: 7 / POS: 3
McDonald is scheduled to start game one at the inaugural Super Sophomore Games at the University of Oregon here in a few weeks. He has earned this opportunity after posting big numbers all summer that have shown his secondary mix also progressing as well. The long, lean frame leads you to believe that there is still much more in the tank to go along with his polished delivery that gets him down the mound well. This is another player that we expect to make significant jumps over the next few months, heading into the sophomore campaign. |

Joshua Teal OF / LHP / Arbor View HS, NV / 2028Rankings StateRank: 8 / POS: 2
A standout for Team Nevada at the Junior Future Games in 2024, Teal put together an impressive performance at the Wow Factor ID earlier this summer. There is a lot to like with this Arbor View product that sees his game continuing to trend in the right direction with his power potential already making flashes of real present power that we expect to be on full display this spring as he is primed for a key role in the heart of the Aggie's order. |

Oliver Schoppmann SS / RHP / Shadow Ridge, NV / 2028Rankings StateRank: 9 / POS: 2
Though he comes in a compact frame, he plays much bigger and has the tools to go along with it. His impressive actions at the Las Vegas Vegas Top Prospect Games On both sides of the ball solidify him as one of the top players in Nevada's 2028 Class. There is still plenty of room to fill out in his frame, and we only expect added strength and size to amplify each part of his game as he is set to be a big piece the Shadow Ridge lineup in 2026. |
