With the release of the latest update to our state rankings for the 2026 class, it’s a great time to take a closer look at some of the top remaining uncommitted prospects in the class. With plenty of talented players still available, our staff will dive in and highlight the top five uncommitted prospects from each position group. We’ll kick this series off by taking a look at the five top ranked uncommitted catchers, with a short breakdown of each prospect.

Walker Blanchard C / 3B / Elizabeth, CO / 2026 Rankings  StateRank: 25 / POS: 2 Blanchard is one of the better left-handed bats in the class, displaying a nice feel for the barrel as well as some present strength to hit for power.

Brayden Reiner C / RHP / Arvada West High School, CO / 2026 Rankings  StateRank: 43 / POS: 4 Reiner is a solid prospect with some two-way potential. Defensively, the backstop has put down pop times as low as 1.88, with decent arm strength, throwing it down at 78 mph. At the plate, we've seen him produce exit velocities in the low 90s.

Logan King C / RHP / Pueblo West, CO / 2026 Rankings  StateRank: 50 / POS: 5 King is a physical athlete behind the dish. At the plate, he's shown a nice feel for the barrel, as well as some present power. Defensively, he has put down pop times as low as 1.88.

Blake Anderson C / Eaglecrest High School, CO / 2026 Rankings  StateRank: 51 / POS: 6 Anderson is another physical guy behind the dish, and has displayed some nice raw power tools. We've seen him with exit velocities in the upper 90s in BP, and behind the dish he's got one of the best arms in the state, throwing down at 86 mph.

Colton Brush C / C / Legend High School, CO / 2026 Rankings  StateRank: 54 / POS: 7 Brush is one of the better athletes in the class behind the dish, best-displayed through a good 60 time at 7.01 seconds. At the plate, we've seen him produce exit velocities up to 95 mph.
