Colorado Uncommitted Spotlight: 2026 Third Basemen

Prep Baseball Colorado Staff

With the release of the latest update to our state rankings for the 2026 class, it’s a great time to take a closer look at some of the top remaining uncommitted prospects in the class. With plenty of talented players still available, our staff will dive in and highlight the top five uncommitted prospects from each position group. We’ll kick this series off by taking a look at the five top ranked uncommitted arms, with a short breakdown of each prospect.

Riley Honick 3B / SS / Rocky Mountain, CO / 2026

Honick is an excellent athlete with the requisite strength to stick at third base at the next level. This summer, we had his exit velocity in the triple digits, topping out at 101.2 mph. He has a good arm, tossing it across the diamond at 83 mph, and showed off his athleticism in the 60 with a 6.84.

Evan Esquibel 3B / RHP / Liberty, CO / 2026

Esquibel is a powerful prospect in the corner infield. Defensively, we've gunned him at 86 mph tossing it across the diamond, and the RHH has shown plenty of present power at the plate, popping exit velocities in the upper 90s when he took BP with us this summer.

CJ Mullen 3B / C / The Classical Academy, CO / 2026

Mullen is a high-ceiling athlete with the potential to see his numbers take another leap as he adds some more strength to a long frame. Presently, he flashes power potential from the right side of the plate, with EV's up to 98.1 mph.

Greyson Glasheen 3B / RHP / Regis Jesuit, CO / 2026

Glasheen is the first left-handed hitter on the list thus far, but continues the trend of prospects with present power at the plate. Defensively, Glasheen has a decent arm and confident actions at third.

Tavian Box 3B / SS / Bayfield, CO / 2026

Box has a strong frame, standing at 6'1 190 lbs. He's got some present power at the plate, and displayed some solid gap to gap power in our look at him in BP.
