Oklahoma Uncommitted Spotlight: 2026 Middle Infielders

Prep Baseball Oklahoma Staff

With the release of the latest update to our state rankings for the 2026 class, it’s a great time to take a closer look at some of the top remaining uncommitted prospects in the class. With plenty of talented players still available, our staff will dive in and highlight the top five uncommitted prospects from each position group. This time, we'll take a look at the five top ranked uncommitted middle infielders, with a short breakdown of each prospect.

Eddie Fish SS / 2B / Yukon, OK / 2026

Fish is one of the more impressive athletes in the state, putting down some great metrics consistently throughout his prep career. The Yukon product has clocked a 6.53 60 yard dash, while being gunned at 88 mph across the diamond and just missing out on triple digit exit velocities. Fish looks primed to be a huge piece of an intriguing Yukon team this spring.

Cruz Gillespie SS / RHP / Oklahoma Christian Academy, OK / 2026

Another metric machine, Gillespie drew attention last winter with multiple 100+ mph exit velos in his round of BP at the Preseason All-State event, topping out at an event-best 103.7 mph. He showed off some plus athleticism as well, clocking a 6.58 in the 60 yard dash.

Maverick Gardner SS / RHP / Moore, OK / 2026

Gardner is a guy who saw his stock rise throughout the season last spring, climbing from the bottom of the lineup at the beginning of March, to finding himself in the three-hole by the time regionals came around. He's an athletic shortstop, with the potential for more power as he adds more strength this offseason.

Anderson Forrest SS / C / Tuttle, OK / 2026

After spending last spring as the everyday second baseman for an excellent Tuttle squad, Forrest will likely slide over and take the job at shortstop for his senior campaign. He has a big bat in the middle of the Tigers' lineup, topping out with an exit velocity of 95.8 mph at the Super Senior Games this summer. Forrest has also shown off a great arm, already tossing it across the diamond at 87 mph over a year ago.

Hasten Conley SS / 2B / North Rock Creek, OK / 2026

Conley played a big role as the leadoff hitter for a tough North Rock Creek team last spring, and will look to lead the Cougars back to the State Tournament for the second consecutive year. The switch-hitter has a high ceiling, and could continue to see his stock rise as he continues to add strength this offseason.
