Rising Stars on the Radar: 2028 RHP/OF Parker Klug (Delbarton)
September 19, 2025
The number two overall player in New Jersey’s 2028 class is physically imposing and generates power. At 6 ‘4 and 214-pounds, Klug can fire a fastball up to 90.7 mph and can hit a baseball north of 100 mph. At the East Coast Super Sophomore Games, he was a standout player when displaying his ability to be an elite two-way prospect.
On the mound his arm talent is undeniable. The 6 ‘4 right-hander’s release point is a high, three-quarter slot that makes hitters feel uncomfortable. Klug’s extraordinarily high release height at 7.5 feet and extension at 7 feet on average result in a unique matchup for hitters. In addition to his rare release point, his two-pitch arsenal consists of a fastball that sits 86-90 and tops 90.7 mph and a curveball at 75-78 mph. The curveball can be spun up to 2,590 rpm with a tight shape. In his 2 innings of work in gameplay, Klug displayed nothing but dominance. His fastball blew by the hitters, and his curveball was landed for strikes and buckled hitters who were gearing up for the fastball.
Offensively, Klug stood out from swing number one of his workout portions at the ECSSG. He consistently barreled baseball north of 95 mph and peaked at an exit velocity 100.4 mph. He hits from a tall, even stance and loads with minimal hand movement and stays engaged in his back leg. With a slight upward bat path and above average barrel awareness he can consistently elevate baseballs with authority to all fields.
Overall, Klug is developing into one of the Garden State’s premiere arm talents and power bats at the same time. Will be a must watch prospect next high school and summer season.
