Future Games Pitcher Analysis: Team NorCal

From Wednesday, July 23 to Saturday, July 26th, Prep Baseball hosted the official 2025 Future Games. The best uncommitted talent from the Class of 2027 all met at LakePoint Sports on this day to ignite the start of this special event, as position players were guided through this pro-style workout in front of a sea of over 400 college coaches.

In this post, we’re looking at the scouting reports on every pitcher from Team NorCal at this year’s 2025 Future Games.

TOP PITCHING PROSPECTS

1. Davis Wilson, Clovis North High (CA), 2027
Positional Profile: RHP/SS Starter profile with commanding presence on the mound. Showcases advanced pitch ability with four pitch mix. Controls the zone and shows great overall feel.
Body: 6-2, 177-pounds. Wiry, athletic frame. Exhibits good body control, with room still to grow.
Delivery: Works from a higher hand set that drops quickly to belt level before syncing with the front leg. Utilizes a high leg kick and employs a drop/drive movement to work efficiently down the mound, generating consistent extension through a lengthy stride. Shows solid ability to block with the plant leg and repeats the delivery well.
Arm Action: RH. Features a compact arm path that works straight down out of the glove, staying in line with the body throughout. Displays explosive arm speed that accelerates fluidly through the motion. Works up to an over-the-top release with a consistent release point, finishing with recoil upon release.
FB: T93, 91-93 mph. High spin FB that plays well off the high release point. Shows good ride/life the top of the zone. Changes eye levels consistent, getting called strikes at the knees. Can run in well on RHH; miss barrels. Confident filling the zone; showcases strong command. T2267, 2104 average rpm.
SL: 79-82 mph. Short, late breaking action that is a weapon against RHH. Tunnels well off the FB down, getting chase below the zone. T1983, 1893 average rpm.
CH: 84-84 mph. Split-like action that kills spin. Plays well off the FB; limits barrels. Commands well down. 1371 average rpm.
CUT: Displays late bite that limits barrels and can run in for whiffs against LHH. Can spot in zone, when needed. Real weapon.
