Mica Mountain Scout Day: Quick Hits (9/18)

TUCSON, AZ — On Thursday, September 18th, the Prep Baseball Arizona staff hosted the Mica Mountain High School Scout Day, an exclusive event for players within the Thunderbolts program.
Every participant received a Prep Baseball profile update with headshot, video, showcase statistics and advanced data analysis. With profiles subscribed to by more than 900 colleges across the country, the event provided valuable visibility for Mica Mountain players while also serving as a key development checkpoint before the 2025 season.

Raydon Rocha SS / RHP / Mica Mountain, AZ / 2026Rankings StateRank: 75 / POS: 19
A name to follow in Arizona’s 2026 class, Raydon is a leader who brings athleticism and polish to his game. The Mica Mountain product ran a 6.90 60 while flashing a 98 mph exit velocity, showcasing both speed and power potential. His defensive actions stood out as well, with smooth hands, arm strength up to 87 mph and the ability to impact the game from multiple positions. |

Miguel Tanori Jr. C / SS / Mica Mountain, AZ / 2028Miguel showed advanced defensive ability behind the plate with quick feet, clean transfers and pop times in the 1.87–1.95 range. He paired it with a compact right-handed swing that produced a 90 mph max exit velocity and consistent gap to gap contact, while also posting a 7.29 60 to round out a well rounded skill set. |

Mikey Sunday 1B / OF / Mica Mountain, AZ / 2027At 6'2, 198 pounds, Mikey is a strong bodied right-handed hitter who showed the ability to drive balls with authority back up the middle, reaching 95 mph exit velocity and 310 feet in distance. With size and strength already in place he has a solid foundation to grow into a power bat at as he continues to mature. |

Brady Webster OF / RHP / Mica Mountain, AZ / 2028Brady carries a projectable 6'1, 182 pound frame and showed flashes of impact ability from the left side of the plate. With a smooth, level swing and developing power (94 mph EV), paired with athletic actions in the outfield, he’s a 2028 to keep close tabs on as he continues to mature. |

Julius Salvador 3B / 1B / Mica Mountain, AZ / 2027A strong bodied 2027 corner infielder, Julius already flashes power to the pull side with the chance for more as he continues to sync up his lower half. At 6'2, 205 pounds, he has the physicality to grow into a run producing role at either first or third base. |

Nick Hawkins 2B / SS / Mica Mountain, AZ / 2029As a young infielder Nick flashed athleticism with a 7.04 60 yard dash and an 89 mph max exit velocity from the left side. His direct, level swing showed the ability to drive the ball on a line, while his developing actions on the infield give him a foundation to build upon. |

John Nyman 3B / 2B / Mica Mountain, AZ / 2028A steady defender with emerging offensive tools, John showed glimpses of impact ability in his right-handed swing, posting an 86 mph exit velocity and 316 foot max distance. With quick hands and solid fundamentals on the infield, he has a foundation to grow into as he continues to refine consistency at the plate. |
