Blast Motion Leaderboard: 2025 Louisiana State Games
September 25, 2025
New Orleans, LA - On September 20-21, 2025, the Prep Baseball Louisiana staff traveled to Tulane University to host our annual Louisiana State Games event, which featured over 100 of the state's best and brightest in the 2026-2029 classes. Each participant went through a pro-style workout on Saturday that consisted of running a laser-timed 60 yard dash using Vald Performance, defensive evaluations, and batting practice using Trackman Baseball and Blast Motion. Each position player competed in two games over the course of the weekend and each pitcher threw live to hitters during gameplay with Trackman Baseball running to receive all of their pitching data and metrics. Below, we take a look at the top Blast Motion hitting metrics from this past weekend's event.

Body Rotation: A swing that has the appropriate relative contributions of body and bat rotations is an efficient and Powerful swing that maintains proper sequencing. An efficient baseball swing is one in which the body creates the initial movements, which is then transferred to the arms and out to the bat, thereby maximizing Bat Speed through this proximal-to-distal kinematic sequencing movement pattern.
