Oregon Uncommitted Spotlight - '26 C Santino Flores

As we wrap up the summer showcase season, Prep Baseball Oregon features an Uncommitted Spotlight, where we highlight standout performers who have attended a Prep Baseball ID event this year. Uncommitted spotlights are meant to showcase players that Prep Baseball Scouts felt showed standout tools, large improvements in overall game, or potential upside moving forward. College coaches and recruiters should be sure to keep an eye on these prospects in the coming months.
This week, we spotlight '26 C Santino Flores. The backstop out of Lake Oswego High School was seen at the Portland Summer ID this June.
A compact-framed player with some twitch present, Flores' showcase was highlighted by a pop time of 2.15 seconds and exit velocities up over 93 MPH. Below is a complete breakdown of the player, including scouting reports and video from the event.

Hit: Square posture with weight evenly distributed. Loose hands pre-pitch with barrel stacked vertically over rear shoulder. Steady stride closes base slightly as hands lower and retract from frame. Flatter barrel path through the zone. Loose wrists with whippy two-handed finish. 62.9 mph bat speed with 12 G's of rotational acceleration.
Power: 93 max exit velocity, averaged 77.7 mph. 354' max distance.
Arm: C-73 mph. Clean catch and throw with 3/4 slot release. Tighter, tucked gloveside.
