ALABAMA - Prep Baseball Alabama is thrilled to announce the 2026 Prep Baseball South Alabama Showdown, showcasing 16 of the Southeast’s premier high school baseball programs during the second weekend of the 2026 high school season. The event is set for Thursday, February 26 through Saturday, February 28, and will be played across four host sites — Gulf Shores Sportsplex, Orange Beach Sportsplex, Robertsdale High School, and Volanta Park.

Last year’s 2025 South Alabama Showdown marked the second edition of the event and featured 20 talented teams competing across the same venues. Several programs, including American Christian and Tuscaloosa County, went on to capture state championships, while many others remained ranked inside the top 10 in their classifications and advanced deep into the Class 7A–1A playoffs.
