Lubbock Coronado and Coach Gary Hix will have plenty to look forward to this season with the return of several experienced starters. Leading the way will be Mississippi State recruit CF/QB1 Sawyer Robertson (No. 324 in the 2021 National Rankings, and No. 40 in the 2021 State Rankings) who is coming off a strong season on the gridiron, and with the athleticism Robertson brings to the diamond expect a strong spring from him as well. At the core for the Mustangs will be two seniors in Weatherford signees in MIF Ben Tadlock and 3B/C Layden White, with both bringing plenty of experience and leadership to this ballclub. Senior OF/RHP Charlie Robinson (TTU Football Commit) another dual-sport athlete and two year starter whose contributions will be key to the success of this team. Arms at the front of the bullpen for Coronado will RHP Preston Schmid and LHP Tucker Gideon (Odessa College commit). Sophomore INF Jett Carroll a newcomer for the Mustangs who will help provide support for this much anticipated Mustang team.
