The winter schedule has come to a close as players are now beginning to get their season's underway. The 2025 preseason showcase schedule featured the first-ever Hawaii Preseason Invitational which was an eight-team tournament to open up the year that saw all positional players run through a pro-style workout alongside our tech partners, while we also collected updated TrackMan pitching data on all arms during gameplay.

Our staff had eyes on over 100 players and with the season finally here, there is still a ton of quality uncommitted talent still on the board in Hawaii's senior class. Over the next couple weeks, our staff will begin highlighting some of these names who need to be on the radar of college coaches looking to roundout their 2025 class.

We continue our Top Uncommitted Senior Spotlight Series with '25 C/RHP John Ganske of Moanalua HS. Ganske is the 4th-ranked catcher in Hawaii's senior class and impressed at several events throughout the fall with the ability to impact the game on both sides of the ball.

6-01/215, pro body...physical RHH catcher with potential +value on both sides & +makeup...possesses the traits to hit & hit for power: compact swing for power hitter & got a little something at the end, 95.6 Trackman Exit Velo & 21.6 blast Hand Speed with no-load & pause before swing, incorporating a load could equate to premium exit velo & hand speed along with more rhythm to swing...love the approach: really stays inside well, have yet to see him get around a BP pitch, big-time middle-away power w/+carry & +backspin, true oppo HR power now...arm is amongst his best tools, throws hard as RHP, plays even better behind plate with a 1.99 pop-time...good athlete, would not be surprised if was a value at 3B for UTL defensive value...RHP up to 86 with decent secondary, value will be as catcher unless starts throwing 93-95 out of nowhere...+makeup with +focus on goals, military family where discipline & work ethic is instilled at an early age...3.8 GPA & Engineering major...Hawaii #5 ranked 2025...strong DI recruit.
