Cayden Stockbridge, RHP, 2026, Penn

+ Stockbridge provided an excellent start for Penn, beating Carmel and coming one out away from a complete game. Stockbridge still earned the win, going (6.2) innings with (4) walks, (3) earned runs, (3) hits, and striking out (9) against a top-20 ranked foe. The projectable, 6-foot-2, 190 pounder pitched at 87-91 throughout the start, working mostly 88-90, and holding 87-90 into the 4th. I like the slider development best and it has turned into at least an above average offering that plays with swing-and-miss sweep at 78-81. He shows a bigger version of the pitch at 74-75, more of a land pitch, and his best OS offering in this look was an 82-83 change that played with fade, and he used to R/R and versus LHH. Stockbridge uses a more-methodical paced lift as he gets to a tall, inward turn, and then uncoils with a small uphill shoulder tilt and dynamic balance throughout. The arm is clean and there is easier intent shown. Walking away, the projectability still left and starters' profile are what I value most here. He has made steady gains over 3-plus years and more jumps are likely...

Parker Robinson, SS, 2027, Lake Central

+ I caught Robinson in an early season matchup versus two quality arms from Valparaiso. Robinson continues to look the part of a premier prospect in the uniform with a 6-foot-4 frame that is equally athletic and projectable. I loved the actions in pregame I/O - he plays with some swagger/flare, but there is also a strong base of fundamentals and proper footwork shines. His arm has enough strength to stay on the left-side long-term, as well. Offensively, the setup is a bit crouched, and he walks away from the hands as he arm-bars out to create linear stretch. He launches from a lower handset to allow for some loft, but the swing is more wristy with the barrel getting some buggy-whip as it comes through. There is power potential in the operation with the levers & future strength factored in. He turned around an upper-8s fastball for a firm, pull-side liner in my look this week.

Jackson Harris, C, 2027, Carmel

+ I sat on Harris for a DH look and walked away excited about his growth. He made strides this offseason that he showed off at our Preseason All-State workout, but I really wanted to see this LHH backstop in-game to see how the tools translated between the white lines. He is all of 6-foot-1 with a listed weight of 195 pounds, with a younger-look to the face that leads me to believe more physical growth is to come. I was impressed with how much better he showed defensively - now an above average receiver and the lateral quickness has elevated, as well. The arm is strong for the age and he grabbed 1.95s on his best pops throughout the day, ranging from 1.95 (2x) to 2.11 between innings. Offensively, the strength he has added has paid serious dividends and there is budding power starting to shine. The load is flowy and when timed propertly, he creates quality hip-to-shoulder that leads to easy bat speed. He showed the ability to use the whole field in this look with firm barrels to all parts of the field.

Connor Christiansen, RHP, 2027, Cathedral

+ Christiansen got the ball for Cathedral versus Brebeuf last Friday. The 6-foot righty pitched at 84-88 in the first, touching 89, with heavy sink on the fastball. He has the physical strength to hold velocity, sitting 85-87 in the 3rd, keeping starters' upside on the table - especially given the body control & athleticism present. I liked his faded change that came out with a fastball look, and it played in the upper-70s. He showed a bigger, 72-74 slurve and a sharper, upper-70s slider. His feel for spin was inconsistent in total, though it flashed swing-and-miss action several times, especially the firmer SL. The fastball control is average, as well, and he will show a bit of manipulation with SK/4S shapes both shown. The delivery is athletic and features a bit of a tilt-and-topple as a loose, compact arm follows. The arm speed stands out most and there is a bit of projection left to the frame.

Bo Blondi, RHP, 2027, Cathedral

+ Blondi came out of the Cathedral bullpen to work 3.2 innings on Friday. He stands at a lean, 6-foot, 155 pounds with all-kinds of room for strength gains in the future. I am all in on the delivery, lifting with an athletic pace as he uncoils in-line and finishes with dynamic balance. He gets down the mound well and the arm action gets to a full-circle on the backside. Blondi pitched at mostly 83-85 with some carry, and grabbed several 86s and one 87 throughout the night. It was a frigid look, but his velocities did begin to fall into the low-80s as he got deep into the outing. His 73-76 slider shows flashes of a future wipeout, playing with tight, late, glove-side break. He showed tons of feel for an upper-70s change, as well. He showed tons of bounce of the mound and fielded his position extremely well for a young arm. Strength gains need to be made, but this could get loud in a hurry to compliment above average control in total.

By: Kellan Northam (Area Scout - Southern Indiana)

Jaxon Lueken, RHP, 2026, Forest Park

+ Indiana commit lived up to the hype in this look, Providence lineup had no answers the first time through. FB sat 87-89 through first 3 IP before jumping up to 90-91 in last inning of work, SLV was sharp at 78-80 and buckled a few hitters, CH at 80-82 got a few swinging K’s diving away from LHH, worked into trouble with a pair of walks but blew hitters away with high heaters to escape. Was ahead in nearly every count and attacked with his best stuff regardless of hitter. Final line was 4IP, 8K, 1R, 1H, 2BB.

Jerron Miles, SS, 2026, Silver Creek

+ The 6-foot-3, 185 pound athlete showed good actions during I/O at SS with a loose arm that played with carry across. He DH’d in this look hitting out of the Silver Creek three hole, didn’t do any real damage but reached base via BB. Very projectable body and can dream about power potential. High follow.

Gavin Jackson, 3B, 2026, Providence

+ Jackson produced in a big way across both games of the DH. He shortened up and took advantage of a trio of mistakes, going pull-side for an RBI single and driving two to RCF in game 2. He has real pop in his physical 6-foot, 200 pound frame, but hits for average too. Went CG shutout on the mound in his first start of the year, nothing overpowering but misses barrels with biting 2S at 82-84, struggled with command on SL at 68-69 but can develop into an effective secondary. Final line was 5IP, 2K, 2H, 0R, 2BB.

Braylon Gray, OF, 2027, Jeffersonville

+ Thought he looked impressive, though not much to show for it from a statistic side. Pure swing from the left side with flashes of bat speed. Table-setter profile with evident foot speed, though was not able to record a run time in this look. Athletic, 5-foot-11, 155 pounder playing CF and hitting leadoff for Jeffersonville.

Cash Waters, RHP, 2027, Jeffersonville

+ Impressed out of the bullpen to finish, FB was 78-80 but the sharp SL was his put away pitch at 66-68. Racked up a few punchouts and created week contact in his two innings of work out of the pen. Still room for projection in the wiry, 6-foot, 165 pound frame, velo could jump.

Hudson King, INF, 2027, Forest Park

+ Projectable, athletic, 6-foot left-handed hitter. Took a number of quality at-bats. Sets up in a wide stance with flat swing, was able to find a few solid barrels, including a go-ahead 2RBI single pulled through the right side.

Caden Matusak, RHP/SS, 2026, Crown Point

I was able to get a look at Matusak in a relief stint on Friday night, I was eager to see him in a game setting after seeing him in a bullpen a month ago at the Powerhouse ProCase. A primary SS with loud tools and his arm being the best one, Matusak is just beginning to put more time into pitching. The 6-foot-3, 195 pounder hopped on the bump versus McCutcheon and offered an ultra-intriguing look. He worked the fastball to both sides of the plate at 90-91 mph, touching 92 one time. He landed a short, 78-80 mph slider for strikes and flashed a mid 70s curveball with some depth. The junior lifts to a moderate balance point before an athletic move down the slope and a clean, fast arm follows behind. The Crown Point product punched two of the four batters he faced and allowed one hit. The arm talent and athleticism stood out most for the uncommitted junior. The delivery and overall feel to pitch is still developing as Caden has only pitched a hand full of times this year which only adds to the intrigue. We will continue to follow Matusak closely on the bump as he is just scratching the surface of his potential there.

Sam Gooch, RHP, 2026, Greencastle

Gooch got the start in a non-conference matchup with Jasper over the weekend and offered a solid look. The 6-foot righty pitched at 87-88 mph in the first inning, touching 89 with arm-side life. He sat 85-87 mph the next three innings, while occasionally reaching 88. Gooch induced swing-and-miss with a 74-77 mph slider that plays with sweep and flashed a mid 70s changeup that he showed average feel for. The delivery is simple, he lifts to a moderate balance point with a slight inward turn before a shorter stride down the slope. The arm works quick to a H ¾ slot. Gooch had a clean first two innings before running into some traffic later on as his command faded as the outing went on. He punched four batters in total and was in the strike zone at a 56% clip. The athleticism and fast arm were the biggest takeaways from me in this look and I expect the velocity to continue to rise for the uncommitted righty as the year goes on. He was up to 90 mph last fall and is just returning from a successful season on the hardwood.

Jake Winger, 3B, 2026, McCutcheon (Indiana)

I got a look at the #10 ranked player in the 2026 class in an early season matchup with Crown Point. Winger, hitting in the McCutcheon 3-hole, had two hits in three trips to the plate. Both hits were singles to the pull-side. The former future gamer immediately passes the eye test walking off the bus with his long-levered, 6-foot-5, 210 pound frame. He begins in a taller stance before a controlled leg kick stride. The swing works with uphill intent and easy bat speed. I love the run-producers look in the box and its super easy to dream on big power potential. Winger got the start on the bump in this game but he’s shown enough athleticism to play multiple positions in the field. The Indiana recruit is off to a fast start in his junior campaign, through three games he is 7 for 9 (.778) with two extra base hits.

Brody Langhans, OF, 2027, Crown Point

Langhans had a solid week for the highly ranked Crown Point Bulldogs and I was able to see him on Friday Night. I was excited to get a look at the sophomore after big showings at the Fall State Games and Preseason All-State. He had a backside single in this look, he sets up in a balanced stance with lower hands and he turns the barrel on an uphill plane with some bat speed. Langhans showed quality swing decisions in this look and was on-base in two of his three trips to the plate. There is CF upside with Langhans as he burned a 6.74 60 time at our Preseason All-State, he showed quick and athletic feet in CF for the Bulldogs with a fringy arm. The 6-foot, 180 pounder went 6 for 16 on the week with five runs batted in, four runs scored, and stole three bags.
