With 2024 now in the past, Prep Baseball Ohio is eagerly anticipating bringing the Buckeye state the best high school coverage that can be found anywhere in 2025. Starting in February, we began releasing team previews for squads across the state. Ahead, we will have Preseason All-State Teams as well as the Preseason State Rankings coming your way.

2025 Spring Team Preview: Archbishop Hoban Knights

Team Name: Archbishop Hoban Knights
Head Coach: Derek Carmichael
Division: III
2024 Record: 18-6
2024 Tourney Finish: District Semifinals loss to Twinsburg
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 5/4

Coach Outlook: "After graduating 4 key starters from a year ago that all moved to the Div. 1 level, we have a much different personality to this team. Our style of play uses a lot of players each game which has provided us 10 returning players with significant varsity experience. We lack elite qualities at any phase but our team be we will be very balanced on the mound, defensively and offensively. We have a nice mix of talented seniors with big game experience and some exciting young players. If guys step up to their new roles we can be competitive in a loaded Div. 3 realignment."

  • 4 Starting pitchers with varsity innings
  • Very solid in all 3 phases (pitching, defense, offense).
