With 2024 now in the past, Prep Baseball Ohio is eagerly anticipating bringing the Buckeye state the best high school coverage that can be found anywhere in 2025. Starting in February, we began releasing team previews for squads across the state. Ahead, we will have Preseason All-State Teams as well as the Preseason State Rankings coming your way.

2025 Spring Team Preview: Fairborn Skyhawks

Team Name: Fairborn Skyhawks
Head Coach: Ralphh Lunsford
Division: II
2024 Record: 14-15
2024 Tourney Finish: Sectional Finals loss to Fairmont
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 8/4

Coach Outlook: "We have had a great off season and pre-season. Everything is new, new coaching staff, new turf field, new indoor facilities, everything is new. We expect some growing pains, and we also expect our off season work to help us compete both in and out of conference."

2025 Team Strengths:

  • Leadership- overall and especially these seniors have embraced and accepted the challenges during the off season. The attitude and expectations are part of our culture and the credit for that goes to our ability to lead.

Class of 2025 Prospects To Keep Eye On:

  • Cayden Bailey was injured most of last season and we are expecting him to have an incredible season.
  • Jase Duncan is probably the most improved player since we started our workouts last fall. He has lead by example, and put in a tremendous amount of work towards his craft.
  • Nick Cunningham, has shown some ability with the bat, and has very good speed. He is a big key for us.
  • Ayden Davis looks to be either the one or the two in the pitching rotation. He will play a big role.
  • Brayden Harris has been Mr. Consistent for us, and he will be part of the rotation as well. He can swing it a little bit as well. We expect big things from Brayden.
  • Hayden Arndts has been busy qualifying for District in Mens Bowling, and should handle a lot of the catching duties.

Class of 2027 Prospects To Keep Eye On:

  • Muhammed Babar has all the tools and a tremendous ceiling. He can play anywhere, including both pitching and catching. It is a good thing he can play anywhere because his bat will have to be in the line up.
  • Owen and Alex Lauderman, the twins, but too different style of players should be part of the mix for playing time.
