Mizuno Pitcher & Hitter of the Week (Week 10)

Each week during the high school season, we will be announcing the Mizuno Pitcher and Player of the Week for that particular week. Numerous players across the state continue to put up impressive numbers both as position players and pitchers on the mound. This year we will be selecting one Pitcher of the Week and one Player of the Week based on nominations from high school coaches across the state.
Thank you to the many high school coaches that sent in nominations this week.
Let's take a look at the Mizuno Player and Pitcher of the Week for Week 10 (Apr 21-Apr 27).
MIZUNO PLAYER OF THE WEEK

James Dorotik / EL CAMPO H S, TX / 2025James Dorotik delivered a clutch-filled and explosive Week 10 to earn Player of the Week honors. He went 7-for-11 at the plate, blasting 2 home runs, 3 doubles, and a triple, while tallying 7 RBIs and 5 runs scored. Dorotik came up big when it mattered most—a walk-off home run on Tuesday, a go-ahead homer in the 7th inning Friday vs. Needville, and a go-ahead RBI triple in the 7th on Saturday. A week full of highlights and high-pressure success.

MIZUNO PITCHER OF THE WEEK

Matthew Reyna RHP / 3B / South San Antonio, TX / 2026Matthew Reyna delivered another stellar outing in Week 10, earning Pitcher of the Week honors after throwing his second consecutive no-hitter. He went 7 innings, allowing no hits, no earned runs, and striking out 14. Reyna now holds a 1.29 ERA on the season and has totaled 144 career strikeouts, continuing a strong and consistent run on the mound.
